Saw Ray sing this in Minneapolis years ago. Seeing him in person you can't believe one person could have this much talent.

Ray's even got the drummer dancing! I don't see how one could stay still while listening to a performance lile that.

I saw him perform this in about 1985. He started with pretending to find the right key, then played it slow before launching into a full rocking big band rendition.

I believe it is Rudolph Johnson who takes tenor solo. Legendary player!

@SteadyFready I met him on a boat touring through the Kenai Fjords in Alaska. He and my dad were having a conversation. He ended up telling my dad that he was a musician, so my dad introduced me to him.

@SteadyFready I met Dan on a boat in Alaska, of all places. He seemed like a pretty great guy.

I don't know why but I can't shake the sadness that he never got to experience this type of moment. I know it's Debbie Downer, but...

Could you upload Ray Charles full Austin City Limits performance from 1979, where it says "copyright 1980" at the end?

who is that bass player? He is not your standard big band player way more creative and funky.
