I saw him perform this in about 1985. He started with pretending to find the right key, then played it slow before launching into a full rocking big band rendition.
@SteadyFready I met him on a boat touring through the Kenai Fjords in Alaska. He and my dad were having a conversation. He ended up telling my dad that he was a musician, so my dad introduced me to him.

My God. Isn't it great to be alive when Ray is just a RUclips away?
Thank you Ray Charles Robinson for sharing your soul with us.
Ray enjoying himself dancing away under the piano, with a band like this who wouldn’t enjoy it , Ray ❤️ you 👍
Saw Ray sing this in Minneapolis years ago. Seeing him in person you can't believe one person could have this much talent.
Magnifique !!!
Ray's even got the drummer dancing! I don't see how one could stay still while listening to a performance lile that.

@SteadyFready I met Dan on a boat in Alaska, of all places. He seemed like a pretty great guy.
I don't know why but I can't shake the sadness that he never got to experience this type of moment. I know it's Debbie Downer, but...
Not sure who the bass player is but the man has style
Dan Wilensky (the one with the eyepatch) lives in MY TOWN and gives me piano lessons!
Watch Ray's legs.
I like how theres a pirate playing the sax
Could you upload Ray Charles full Austin City Limits performance from 1979, where it says "copyright 1980" at the end?
Curtis Ohlson - google him - he's the real deal.
@jamietrhcp17 when did you meet dan wilensky? under what circumstances? fred horn
who is that bass player? He is not your standard big band player way more creative and funky.
