I always preferred the traditional flat peddles when I raced. Tried the clips, couldn't get used to it...
    Good video, good info 👍

Great Idea!👍 I agree with you 100% that there's no pedal designed from scratch, from the ground of for BMX.🤔🤔🤔
That's why I prefer to use a road pedal with fixed cleats( 0 float ) I repeat it's very important! - with fixed cleats.😎 That combo comes closest to the feedback you get from your flat pedals according to my expierence😎👍
When I switched from flat pedals to road pedals, at the first ride it took me only 30 seconds to get adjusted and then YOU ROLL!😄
(BUT you must take your time to adjust your fixed cleats properly before your first ride! Important!)
The reason? Essently when you put your foot on your flat pedal it's like you have fixed cleat connection with your pedal, only not being locked in like with a clipless pedal.🤓
The only other option I consdidered is the crankbrothers pedal system. (I know you said you don't like road pedals, but they work very well at offraod to my expierence when you what you do.)They are essentially the only one who offers a fixed (again 0 float) cleat option for their offroad pedals. In addition they also offer option of pods to add to their pedals to adress exactly the issue you described in your video beyond the shims they have for their cleats themselfs.🤓
    Tha's my two cents, cheers!👊
    Keep up the good work!
    David😎

I’ve ridden time pedals with no problems despite them fitting loose. I’m in 17-20 X and I rarely unclip and it’s normally due to not warming up enough.

For some years, I have been building up the points on the shoes with epoxy where the side-to-side play occurs. These points on the shoes get worn from walking during mountain biking, and can be built up again with the epoxy which is surprisingly long lasting.

Technique is the reason you came unclipped! Thank you! I’ve been saying this… “I squirreled out because I came unclipped” nope.. you came unclipped because you squirreled out. Remember this next time someone says they lost a race cause they came unclipped.

obviously the thicker the grease for the spindle the better for applications where uts holding weight but maybe running thinner for pedals is the move, interesting idea
