Crosby, Stills and Nash - Woodstock - Madison Square Garden, NYC - 2009/10/29 & 30 Видеоклипы
this was real music, we need to get back to the Woodstock generation, peace and love
Stephen Stills is on fire. His guitar playing, tone, passion all come out with intensity.
Have you heard this LP? ruclips.net/video/jxbw1SGBu8M/видео.htmlsi=0y6ugM5xGGYkS7UG
he is indeed the complete package. but even he cannot equal the frenetic lead solo of Neil Young on this song.
Just heard of the passing of David Crosby... really sad news. Rest in peace, David. A massive loss. Thank you for your music, Brother.
Stephen Stills has one of the best tones in rock history!
First thing I noticed.
Yes its amazing how well he can sing.
Stills is still a beast.
Thank you Joni for giving us that song.
One of great guitarists...Stephen Stills
Complete package, writer, producer musician ( multi instrumentalist). Wow!
Joe Vitale on drums, James Raymond on keys. Man, these guys were so good together.
Probably the first CSN song I ever heard, 40 yrs later, still love it, and this version even more!
There are no words for how good this is!! Steven Stills is a brilliant performer and guitar player. Mr Nash and Mr Crosby just add to how good their ARE! Where ever they are... Luv ya guys!
A bunch of old guys that still sound great.
Stephen Stills always got his chops in guitar. I'm glad that he got his voice back after all these years. He is still my hero. Bring back the good old days of Woodstock era.
Stephen Stills was absolutely on top of his game at this show, in fact he stole the show! I love him with a Strat, what a tone he is getting.
damn right!!! pull up a chair and see hows it's done!!!
Absolutely! We are billion year old carbon!
Can’t beat a cranked strat through a fender bassman
Poor man. His alcoholism has really taken a toll these last few years.
@@GrubbyPigeon He suffers from hearing loss, which runs in his family.
This is the tail end of a great rock and roll legacy - the Woodstock generation will be missed!
Champagne of Rock and roll! Stills on guitar aces it. CSN Blew the audience away. Electric
The best I’ve heard from CSN in a while. In tune and singing in the right register, Stills was feeling it. Wish I had been there...
I grew up in a time of the most fabulous Rock n Roll Musicians this Earth will ever hear and see. The music told a story and the sound often sent goosebumps or skin rushes as your mind connected to truth. I'm thankful for the real time memories that identified a generation where their music was better than medicine.
Right there with you timer
50 years of amazing music....thank you
Yes indeed.
Man, they still sound great! Stills guitar work always amazes me.
Even with Stephen Stills hearing loss over the years, he still has a command of singing and performing. He's a strong presence on stage.
Old Max Yazger may have been just a fellow dairy farmer to his friends and neighbors. But he was damn sure smart enough to have himself remembered and immortalized forever for being the only one who said yes to letting Michael Lang and Artie Cornfeild hold the Woodstock festival on his land!! Bravo Max, as a peer in your community, you went against the grain and took a stand for the youth of America at the time!!
never duplicated EVER again
@@garywalters3007 Max Yazgur made himself immortal with the "I am a farmer"
This song was written for CSN by Joni Mitchell six months after Woodstock. I hitch hiked from LA and the LA 69 rock festival to New Jersey just to go to Woodstock. It was the most memorable thing I've ever done next to witnessing the birth of my children.
That’s awesome man.
No Joni wrote it that weekend. She missed her plane. Her ride
@@lauragroce3816 Yes you are absolutely correct drop Joni Mitchell wrote it and it was kind of focksie and slow and Stills said let me have it we’d like to speed it up and do it and the song was born and he dated Joni Mitchell for years
@@princesscarla2089 He met her through Bobby Ingram in Coconut Grove Miami.
Bobby left us three years ago.
RIP, old friend.
This song was written by Joni the same weekend Woodstock was on. Joni played it to them straight after on their return. She had a TV show. That's why she didn't go.
i was there. and it was, is, and will always be the pinnacle of my life.
if you put your life savings into bitcoin when you made this comment you'd be a multimillionarie today.
I went with my girlfriend Linda, to a CSN concert last year and it was like a religious experience. They are just as fantastic as ever. I was blown away. People were in tears over many of the songs. Just amazing to see these white haired old guys sounding just like they did in 69.
I saw CSN back in 78 and blew us away with such a performance.
I missed WOODSTOCK , like for a week !? ARRRRRCGH !
Actually, they sound better than in the 70s. They're all sober and the sound management is SO much better
Can’t watch this without getting a tear in my eye. Im 30 years old, obviously didn’t live through the experience of Woodstock or the actual Woodstock era itself, but still Woodstock and the spirit of Woodstock has shaped my life and who I am today. This song is the ultimate testament to Woodstock and all that it impacted
I was in my final year of high school during this era, and despite having seen many of the performers over the years since, my one regret was not going to the Festival with two of my friends who did go, but I just didn’t have the money at the time. Four years ago I took my youngest son to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, and when we were leaving, he asked me if we could make a two hour side trip because he wanted to experience Woodstock with me. We drove to Bethal, NY, went to the museum on site, and then walked down the long hill where the festival took place, and shared an herb right were the stage was. We weren’t alone, as there were about a dozen other visitors doing what we were doing, but it felt like half a million strong.
Man, Stephen Stills is ripping it up!! Awesome solo on his Strat too!!! Mom and dad wouldn't let me go - i almost did anyway with some of my girl friends - 50 years? Not possible!! Peace and Love!
Too bad Neil Young wasn't there though, he was the one who did the guitar solo on the original record.
Stills..Guitar and Voice...Absolute Top Five
The old guys showing the new generation how its done! No autotune , no studio making you sound good and might i add sephen stills is pretty much deaf here
Not old...Legends
Wonderful to remember this old time in the 60th. Unforgetable songs. Thankyou for your music. Today love and respect to you all. My heartful condolences , so sorry David is passing away. May he R.I.P. farewell
Stills is a badass!
Best Rock band ever.
We will not see their likes again.
Sizzlin' HOT!!! Thank you SO much!!!
Damn, this is just incredible, the energy is magical, Stills is just God, Nash keeps that angelical voice, impressive.
And Crosby has the hardest vocal assignment, filling the middle harmony to perfection.
Stills . . . a guitarist virtuoso!!!
Saw them do this at Hard Rock Theater in Las Vegas about 10 years ago & they played it just like the album !!! INCREDIBLE !!!
That harmony. Excellent.
Gosh, This song ALWAYS awakes so much energy in me. I am a child of that generation and I was only 1 when this came out, but this rock anthem and much of that period of music is a part of me too.
This is probably the best version of this tune. Thx for the share! 😊
Amazing. You know these guys are close to 70 yrs old here and still able to deliver the goods! Jeez, this clip just shows that Stephen Stills can still be absolute world class, if he's really into it. Actually their recent tours have been WAY better that any '74 show they did.
this song is one of the three major inspirations that played into my learning to play the guitar, heard this song for the first time age six or seven and it sealed the fate for me.
I love the harmony they have together!
They killed it, one of the best vids I saw them play. Nash's vocal isn't overreaching, Stills voice and guitar was awesome and Crosby was Crosby
Just so freaking good. Out of this world good. Damn...
WANDERFUL MUSIC, UNFORGATTABLE
Excellent harmonies still after all these years
and ..... 40 years later we can still enjoy the harmony of their voices! Don't you think this is great!
Stephen's voice was surprisingly in good form here. I love his voice more than the other two, but years of hard living have obviously taken their toll on him (as well as significant hearing loss). I hope he's happy and healthy.
One of Joni Mitchell's finest compositions. Immortalized by these gents, but her original version is awesome too.
Dont get better than that....love seeing these greats anytime they come around.money well spent..........
歳はとっても 70年代の スピリットは 忘れていない 相変わらずの 素晴らしいハーモニーの美しさ。 初めて聴く人も 一聴の価値あり。
Some songs speak to every generation....this is one of them....
Absolutely!! And I love the fact that there are 2 polar opposite versions: CSNY and Joni Mitchell’s
here's to Joni Mitchell... who has been hospitalized today. She captured the "moment"(the 60's... Yea Baby !!!) CSNY also recognized this gem... and immediately covered it ! All in all... a marvelous Anthem of the 60's which still rings true today !!! God Bless America !!!!
John Pappas I Agree lets remember Joni Michell and this brilliant song she wrote about Woodstock a gig she missed out playin at. Get well soon Joni
Bill Cargill She missed it to be on the Dick Cavett show - can you imagine?
John Pappas She even hasn't played at Woodstock..
John Pappas She even hasn't played at Woodstock..

We are stardust, we are golden.....
Woodstock.....a Joni Mitchell classic. One of many. Thank you Joni for your fantanstic songs.
They nailed that last long note of the last chorus
I love these dudes so much, for all their heart work, this is leadership.
Music for president.....
This song was my youth itself
They got back to the Garden, Madison Square Garden! Love it!
Not too shabby for seventy years old! Awesome harmonies
Incredible , almost 10 years have passed and there are so mant for their age but i bealive in their and i'm gratefoul for all good music they have produced
Thanks a CSN BEST BAND EVER from 68 for EVER 🔥✌✌🤘🎸🎸♥♥♥♥♥
Folks just enjoy this music in its most brilliant best form as you will not hear it again live. As a long time muso this is a classic example of a band being in the zone and producing a goosebump performance of the highest order. Steve is on fire and his guitar solo and ending of the song is pure class. Coz and Nash are really belting out the harmony and you can each ones input. The rest of the band have caught the vibe as their contribution just adds to the incredible performance. It is going to be near impossible to produce another CSN as their sound is so unique and to get those harmonies perfect very difficult.
unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is music!!!
Beautiful. If I'd go back in time I would go to this concert.
This is a freaking incredible performance! Blown away....
hey kids.... listen up.... this is the way music is supposed to be done!!!
No joke! Peace and love
this is GOLD. pure gold
Truly great stuff! I think Stephen Stills is a much better guitar player than ever before, personally - and that's saying something. So happy to have lived in the time of this music history and to have been a part of this generation.
Me too
Stephen The Voice Stills still kickin ass...Love it.
And yet - I love Matthews Southern Comfort’s version equally.
Absolutely brilliant performance love it!
dopo tanti anni ancora una magia...............meravigliosi
All I can say is FANTASTIC ! Rest in peace David and condolences to your Family.
I'm not always the biggest fan, but man, this is one kickass performance, by everybody, and my mind is duly blown. Stills absolutely kills on the vocal, but the harmonies too are more developed and tougher than any I've heard before on this tune.
I watch this from time to time, and every single time I am blown away by how amazingly, incredibly good, this is. Absolutely fucking timeless.
This is unbelievably great.
It's amazing how many different ways they've played this song. Detailed differences, but all of them fantastic!
Amazingly cool. This was my favorite act of the whole damn show.
Wow - Stills was rocking.
The Earth is over 4 billion years old... Weren't we lucky as hell to have had this for the soundtrack of our lives? Can you imagine it any other way?
Honestly, my favorite 70s rock band. Now as then. No band says Rock and Roll like CSNY. They're the classic sound.
Much better a live than their album version: )
Out of this world fantastic.
Now that my friends is rock n' roll.....
The best!!
What a moment in history and they are still reliving it! CS&N has still got it!
CSN Rocks, CSN is forever, CSN is the best!!
love this song...I feel like I'm 20 again. CSN rocks!!
love that old beat up fender strat
Classic! Stevie Ray Vaughan’s was the quintessential beat to hell Strat too!♥️♥️✌🏻💥
this is the best group that we need to hear more of. i love the old rock.
Real musicians making the best music.
Déjà vu
Love to being a oldie!
Pretty damn good for forty years on!!! Keep rockin boys!
I literaly cry !!😢
I hope nobody from hollywood tries to make a "Queen" movie out of this band.
Man,that was awesome!

This is raw. Sounds pretty good.

Veramente fantastico,il cantante mi fa venire i brividi perché ti fa rivivere quegli anni passati ! Che meraviglia averlo vissuto ! Brividi per l' assolo di chitarra !!! Veramente emozionante !!!!❤
