I am 71 years young and saddened that David is no longer with us. Thank you, David, Stephen and Graham for the wonderful music you shared with us since I was 17!! I’m grateful that I could see you in person many times during my life and will always remember your wonderful music.
I am 73 and only saw the band live once--in the late 80s in Lincoln, Nebraska just after DC got out or rehab at what was thus a kind of joyous reunion for them all. What a fantastic concert they put on! And long! Amazing acoustics and sound! Up their with the greatest live musical events of my life!
I'm totally with you on that. I too am 71 and their music brings back so many memories. So sad to hear of David's passing. Their harmony was so unique and it belongs to only them. So memorable.
I am 17 years old and am proud to say that I know who these artist are and play their music! I will not give into the musical "oppression" of Pop and Rap and all others. I will always stay true!
Well, I'm a big fan of these guys, too. But why all the extra Bob, Dick & Harrys on stage. Some of the harmonies were good, some were poor. Pardon me, I noticed.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
My older brother turned me onto this band in 1973 when I was in 7th grade. I knew that I was way ahead of my friends musically at that point. Got into the Band and The Dead right after that. Never looked back. I was hooked on Classic Rock and Roll.

Stills has a voice that never changes. Although it's a little different from back in the day, hearing this without video anyone who knew his voice could still pick him out.
On that same note, Graham has always been my favorite of the three but seeing Stills step up to tear it up was hawt. I can only imagine the success, the accomplishment, the pride that must run through these guys to know they still got it, still draw crowds, still fucking rock!
I really can’t think of any other vocalist whose voice I love more than his. Amazing singer, amazing guitar player, amazing songwriter, amazing human being. We are so lucky to have him on our planet.
They would be wonderful beyond life. Not complaints about their amazing armonías. I just listen those songs this year, after I heard about them in Peru by a friend of mine who brought a few LPs and cassettes from overseas when I was 12 years old. I didn’t pay enough attention and concentrate on British bands as Zeppelin or ELP, Yes. So, now…I love them more than any other band in the whole world! That legacy is unforgettable for all generations that appreciate real music and fabulous interpretation and lyrics.
not much on their politics...................i was there in 60s.............yes NAM too...........remember jane fonda............traitor to all GIs............
Damn these guys are great. Grew up with these dudes back in the early 70s WOOO GET IT STEPHEN !!! The harmony is god given and beautiful to the ears 😉🎶👏🎶👏🎶👏🎶👏🎶👏🎶👏❤❤❤❤❤✌
I paid $400 to take my kids to see the 2012. Concert in Erie, PA. They are my band and symbolize my teenage years and beyond. I would go see them even if they just stood there and played a tape and pretended to sing. I would love to have a weenie roast with guitars and them and me singing. What I would give. No autographs. Just fun singing for the pleasure of it. Best music ever. Maybe in heaven.
No a offense but, I hate when people say underrated 😡. He’s not underrated! He may be under appreciated, but nobody who plays or appreciates guitar would under rate Steven Stills .
October 2024. Needed this so much. In WNC during the devastating floods, mudslides, you name it-it happened! Finally found a Starlink outdoors so I could connect.
What a STILL _“groovy”_ Live Performance… with CSN now in their mid-to-late *70s!!!* And with lyrics so very relative after *50+ Years* ....!!! The Fortunes of Fables are able To sing the song Now witness the quickness with which We get along To sing the blues *you've got to* live the Dues And Carry On.
No matter... Greatness. Loved 'em ever since that night in 1974 at the old Cap Centre in Landover, Maryland... A lifetime of music from one of the voices of our generation.
Reseda 1971, you say? You played for the LA city championship in high school basketball that year, and you lost to my high school. Do you remember that?I was the school district chess champion that year.
@@margiemurdock6871 Yes, we had Greg Lee, City Player of the year. He went on to be Bill Walton's teammate and roommate in College. Chess camp, huh? That's great. My current hobby is woodworking, and I have made several chess boards.

I love these guys and consider them The best American band ever--because it's not just good guitar licks or catchy tunes. It's the harmony, its the message in the lyrics. To me they are tops because they have been socially aware all my life, and pointed out evil along the way--and when I say American that includes Canada (Neil.) Fortunate to have lived in San Francisco and Mountain View CA near Shoreline --for years Neil did 2-3 days of benefit concerts for The Bridge School. Went to these almost every year. Always had greats play--Simon and Garfunkle even reunited for this cause. Fortunate to have met Steven and on another occasion, to party with the Cros. Thanks God.
+stevedrums Yeah absolutely man. Stills gets to stretch out and almost double the length of the guitar solos. Jimi Hendrix wanted Stephen for his own band on the "Cry of Love / First Rays of the New Rising Sun" album. I love hearing one of my favorite guitar players kill it. These men are in their 70s and still kicking ass. Do you have some better opinion to offer?

I do not think he is underrated, he has always been a great one. His fencing with Neil young, are unforgettable

A great song from a great group. The vocals kick serious posterior, and Stills is an incredible guitarist.
Great then; still great. Stephen Stills is amazing.
My favorite song when it came out. And "Carry On" was, coincidentally, the official motto of our high school graduating class at Reseda High in 1971.
