It's getting to the point where I'm no fun anymore
    I am sorry
Sometimes it hurts so badly I must cry out loud
    I am lonely
I am yours, you are mine
    You are what you are
    You make it hard
Remember what we've said and done
    And felt about each other
    Oh, babe have mercy
Don't let the past remind us of what we are not now
    I am not dreaming
I am yours, you are mine
    You are what you are
    You make it hard
    Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Tearing yourself away from me now you are free
    And I am crying
This does not mean I don't love you
    I do, that's forever
    Yes and for always
I am yours, you are mine
    You are what you are
    You make it hard
Something inside is telling me that I've got your secret
    Are you still listening?
Fear is the lock and laughter the key to your heart
    And I love you
I am yours, you are mine
    You are what you are
    You make it hard
    And you make it hard
    And you make it hard
    And you make it hard
    Friday evening
    Sunday in the afternoon
What have you got to lose?
    Tuesday morning
Please, be gone, I'm tired of you
What have you got to lose?
Can I tell it like it is? (Help me, I'm sufferin')
    And listen to me baby
    It's my heart that's a-sufferin', it's a-dyin' (Help me, I'm dyin')
And that's what I have to lose (To lose)
    I've got an answer
    I'm going to fly away
What have I got to lose?
    Will you come see me
    Thursdays and Saturdays?
(Hey, hey, hey) What have you got to lose?
    Chestnut brown canary
    Ruby throated sparrow
Sing a song, don't be long
    Thrill me to the marrow
    Voices of the angels
    Ring around the moonlight
Asking me, said she's so free
How can you catch the sparrow?
    Lacy lilting lady
    Losing love lamenting
Change my life, make it right
    Be my lady
Qué linda, me la traie a Cuba
La reina de la Mar Caribe
Cielo, sol, no llega tarde aquí
Y qué triste que no puedo bailar, oh va, oh va

It took me a long time to distinguish Crosby's voice when they go into 3 parts. Nash is easy to seperate, its Stills and Crosby that seem to blend. Even though Crosby is in what the critics call "zombie mode" here, he doesn't miss a note, and his intonation is near perfect. This dude could sing, perhaps even when he was high as a kite. RIP, a truly great harmony singer

I don't know how anyone can even tell
if he's making any noise with the stash.
He seemed to be out of it the whole show.
It sounded nice though even if it
      was only 2.5 voices.

    • @Willriii
      @Willriii Год назад +6

@yootoob20011957 Here is a specific example where if you listen very carefully you can distinguish the 3 parts. And yes, I had to use visual clues to get it, mustache be damned. Voices of the angels (Stills) ring around the moonlight (Stills and Nash) asking me, etc (all 3) Really focus on the timbre of Stills' voice on ring around the moonlight and track it to the next phrase. Crosby's part on "asking me etc" is the low one, which really blends with the guitar. This is at 06:40. Elsewhere in the song Crosby sings unison with Stills and his voice is really the one you hear, not Stills' which is perhaps why it took so long to figure out who was who

Es cierto, las voces de Stephen y Graham son las más notorias. Cuando canto está canción me es fácil saltar de la primera de Still a la tercera de Nash, pero la segunda de David es fácil ignorarla.

    • @Willriii
      @Willriii Год назад +1

@@rntrojasrojas2204 I can read that in spanish, y gracias . But, mostly, not always, crosby sings the root, and stills sings the third, Nash sings up a 5th or an octave of Crosby even going all the way back to woodstock. wait? the second of david is ignorantly easy? I'm speaking in intervals, you are speaking in parts. Stills sings the lead (la primera) , but in harmony he usually sings the third

Their harmonies shimmering up and over the Berkeley Hills into what seemed like heaven. Good stuff.... But this is not 1969....this would be more like 1980s. Yep! But he gave us, with these band mates, some of the best acoustic rock ever written or performed. David got clean and lived out his life in beauty and kindness. R.I.P. David Crosby.❤

As usual, Stills 2 backup singers are just standing there while Stills does all the work.

Well, seeing as Stephen wrote the song I guess he can do all the work he knows it best and the other two are being exactly who they are

You might want to amend the title of the video because although it was written and first recorded in 1969, this was from a much later concert.

@@marklee9268 it ws a while ago i researched it and found the year so i dont have the source before me, but it clearly was NOT 1969 because in 1969 they were all still in their 20's -- here they are in their early 40's except Stephen stills who was in his late 30's. here's a clip of them in 1974 where they are clearly younger -> ruclips.net/video/FtFqzTcWTBE/видео.htmlsi=UYa-CpCd2zvKKi2j
