- What was once pure "genius", has now become "maestro", without par. Those who are not musicians, will not understand how incredibly difficult it is to play, and sing, this live. If not, just sit back and enjoy. The musicians among us, will just gaze on in stunned awe.
I didn't get to see them do this in Sydney, because of Stills contracting the flu and not having a decent enough voice. In a way, I'm glad. Woodstock, be damned. - Развлечения
Im 67 years old, Im black, Im a man, and. Im crying. A quiet joy has surfaced in my heart as my youth has resurfaced just for a moment.
yey...good news my friend...they have done their job then...that's the stuff that it is...

I am 69, so much memories of that great time......
and it's absolute pleasure knowing beautiful folks like you are are around sharing this wonderful world together
3 voices, and one guitar, no dancers, no light shows, no autotune, no reverbs, no protools backup, no teleprompters, just sublime...
agree!
Well said. Nothing against all of that production and showmanship because that is a ton of hard work. But, something about this purity really resonates so much more.
Three of the greatest voices in rock 'n' roll since the Beatles. I wish I'd been there!
Absolute joy!!
They are one person
They are two alone
They are three together
They are for each other ❤❤
That's one guitar, two mics and three voices. Pure magic.
Beautiful no one compares
ABSOFUCKINGLUTLY!!!

I am 74 next month. I listen and I am young again with firm, tanned skin. I’m young again, beautiful and only worry is not to get pregnant by my boyfriend but we’re careful - lol. Now we have a son. Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, you shaped our youth and placed something in our brains that can never be erased. To hear your songs and your incredible harmonies will always ALWAYS be a balm on our souls as we age. I love you.
You have a majestic soul to state that with a such rare earnesty.
Exactly and precisely said. I am 75. I saw this and asked myself if I wanted to watch it? After all, I knew it well. But, because a friend posted it on Facebook, I clicked, and am so glad I did. It brought back vividly those years and that sound, which was together for too short a time. Still, they gave us what they did, and it was some of the most woderful music of the era. It captured a time of free love, free spirits, and no cares. A time when most things seemed possible, though there was the backdrop of the every present war, which threatened to upset our lives.
Beautiful words!
The anthem of the '70's still as powerful and poetic and delivered with such feeling so many years later. RIP David Crosby and blessings to Graham & Steven.
Did anyone catch the Beatles riff in Stevens lead part?
RIP David Crosby. The soundtrack of my childhood, youth and adulthood.
Glad to have been alive to witness and enjoy your talent. I play your music every day and twice as loud on Saturday's. Condolences to his family, friends and bandmate's.
🕯🎸🕯🎸🕯🎸🎶🎶🎵😢😢

I couldn't have said it better the soundtrack of my life! I love you David rest in peace! EXO
RIP my friend. Another one of the good ones is gone. So sad that this kind of music is dying. Being replaced with garbage. Glad I don’t have too much time left as well. Gonna go be with these guys too soon I suppose. 0:13
His music and all his bandmates are the best! We brought our children up on this. Deja Vu album cover is still on our couch when my husband was in the Navy in 1972. We lived in Alameda, California
Amazing talent. One of the best ever. So sad that life goes by so fast. Most of us don't have this kind of talent. Just amazing. Their songs oftentimes brings tears to my eyes, especially, "Teach Your Children."
Tonight, I am here because David Crosby has left this life. I have been here before. I am 61 years old, and this will forever be one of my favorite songs. Rest easy and thank you for the memories.
He will live forever with his songs and his amazing work❤🎤🎸🎵🎶🎶☀️🕊
Raven I've kinda grew up on their when I was a kid & yes I still have their music today I'm 59Yrs, old but this 1 stood out the most I always think of my Mom & Mr. Crosby now RIP to you Sir

I'm 56 and Thanks to my Dad(who just passed away this Aug. 2023) My music has forever been Influenced by Great Music such as CSN! TRUE PURE MUSIC! No Dazzling Light Show..No Tons of Barely Dressed dancers, just Damn Good Music! I'm sure my Dad is in heaven right now listening to CSN with a Great Buzz and watching his beloved Duke Blue Devils get RUINED by My UNC Tarheels!
Sadly, the end of an era. A legend dies, but the music lives on. RIP David Crosby. 💔
Great music never dies.
He lived a long time to have been as sick as he was......
So wonderful to have the same feelings ! I'm 65 years old, I'm black, I'm a man, I'm African from West Africa.....and I'm crying....😢😢😢😢
This song is magic !
I love Crosby Stills,and Nash🙏♥️🇺🇲
70 years of age. Stephen Stills IS the man.
Great to see some of them back in concert.
But... Stills is head and shoulders a super talent.
That's all I have to say.
No pyrotechnics, no overdubs, no crazy effects, just pure talent on the stage... amazing.
@Sono2 , your comment is a perfect example of people disagreeing just for disagreement sake. Why polarise?
And no auto tune

I'm 74, and since Croz died I can't stop humming/singing his greatest songs. They're stuck in my head! The band was such a big part of my life. Thank you David and CSN and Y. You have brought such joy in my life over the last five and a half decades.
I'm 69 and Cros will always be with us in harmonius memory rip
THANK YOU!
He did his job well while in this earthly realm. Not a man without flaws yet man who was authentic in every way.
I'm from Spain, a few years older than you and exactly the same feeling about these three monsters and their marvelous performances.
I'll be 75 in October and this as much as any band is the music of my life.
I'm 76 and all these sounds are still in my ears, in my heart, in my soul. Forever. I love you.
Their unique harmony will last throughout the ages.

Very underrated. Just listen to the best of mr Stills
I'm 68 years old. Just had some losses myself. Needed to cry, needed to laugh, needed some depth of feeling. Knew to find some comfort in this music. Rest in peace David Crosby. We are stardust.
RIP, David Crosby. You may be gone, but your brilliance lives on . . .
My husband and I thank you for posting this magnificent piece of history and fantastic music!
Tears in my eyes and goose bumps on my arms. RIP David Crosby 1/19/23
I'm crying, too. Crying and smiling and dancing some, too. Hope is a little harder to come by these days - music helps. Their music soared and still uplifts. I am so grateful.
Same here...
As am I grateful....for their music...young again ..for this short period of time listening to this song.
At 69 I had to find something where these 3 were together live, RIP David, there are tears rolling down my cheeks.😢😢
As a little kid growing up in the 60’s . Memories of the tragedy of Vietnam on the tv news each night. Death and sadness. But the beautiful music of that period. When I hear this I’m transferred back in time . Laying in my bed at night. Listening to music like this on my crystal set. So beautiful and a safe and magical place to hide from scenes on the tv which remain in my memory to this day. Thank you music makers of that period 🙏
Beautifully stated . To have been young during that time was incredible, wonderful, and encouraging. Ain't it funny how time slips away.
Crystal set! I listened on a transistor.

Vale - David Crosby
One of the best & greatest Singer/Musicians has passed away aged 81.
Along with his mates Stephen Stills, Graham Nash and Neil Young, Crosby created some of the most iconic late 60's & early 70's music.
I know they started in the mid-60's, though to me they epitomise WOODSTOCK.
The Vocal harmonies rival anyone else in the music world.
Their Guitar work and their sublime Bass lines were ground-breaking and ahead of their time.
Even as a very young child I knew their music was very special.
RIP Mate, thanks for all the musical joy you brought us.
We’ve been married for 53 years. This is what my husband was playing the first time we met. It was love at first sight for me. And this has always been our song. Our children cry when they hear it. This was brilliant! Thank you. ❤️
Ditto!!
Kind of ironic considering the lyrics! Congrats on all that time shared. That's beautiful.
Is your name Judy? No? Are you at least "sweet?" I will say that I did marry a "Collins." That's as close as I come to this song!
You gave me goosebumps. ❤

How did I get so lucky to be born with this generation of such talented and pioneering musicians? Thank you David.

Yes it comes right back.. Woodstock! We made history!! It was a peaceful gathering..no fighting just love and hope.
They nail it. I got goosebumps when they go into the final chorus. RIP David Crosby.
SAME!!
My scatterbrained older sister forgot my 14th birthday back in '71 and rushed around for something to give me. I was not impressed to receive a battered cassette tape, without case, wrapped up in tissue paper, which I'd not heard of: Deja Vu...and then I played it. The best music I've ever listened to, and which I still listen to to this day, along with all the solo material.
Proof that the most precious gifts seldom arrive wrapped in gold.
I'm now 64 years old and I have a cup that my sister Clarice gave me the first time I had surgery with flowers in it. I have had too many surgeries to count. I feel like I been to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 😊 but I am still going. 😊
Where would we be without our sisters?
My all time favorite song. As an old lady now, it still makes me tear up. What incredible talent to have witnessed up close and personal in my lifetime.

Stephen Stills, one of the most underrated guitar players ever.
Got that right
For sure. Singer, songwriter, legendary guitar player.
Who underrated him? That's such a cliché these days. Everyone I know and I've been playing almost as long as Stephen thinks he's Great. So whomever you know that thinks he's not that good, punch them in the face. for me please.
This transports me into another dimension.. memories
By who?
This band has been a part of my life since 1970! 😊👍
The world has lost such a bright light in David. So glad we have these beautiful live memories to remember him.
Does this old boomer's heart good to hear this version of this classic tune. These lads sure knew how to put a song together, and they still do it so well. So long as music like this exists there is still hope.
The best. I am 73 and are my favorite. I want a song of their:”s played at my funeral. I dont care if people remark. Its my last wish….

One of the Greatest songs of ALL TIME. I have probably listened to this song over a thousand times since '69. This performance is stunning, evocative and heart wrenching all at the same time. We were so blessed to have them in our lives. Thank you CSN and Y.
I have always loved this beautiful live version. So happy these recordings are available for the world to enjoy the brilliance of performers everywhere. RIP David Crosby

Pure magic. Did anyone notice Stephen Stills plays Within You and Without You during his guitar solo. ( That’s why you hear Graham Nash say “God Bless George “. Amazing how well their voices have held up. RIP David Crosby and thanks 🙏 for the music.

There'll never be music of quality like this again so sad😔great guitar Stevens stills
When all You need is an acoustic guitar and a perfect blend of voices, Rest in Peace David Crosby, God Bless your Sou! 🙏
I am amazed at the voice quality that they all have maintained. Crosby, with the smooth, low harmony, hasn't lost anything, and I can understand that. Nash, always singing the great high part, is almost unbelievable here. It is most difficult, next to impossible, to maintain a range like that while getting on in years. This was a truly awesome performance.
I've the unity in there voice and quite strength and tenderness I had the privilege to see them live what a awesome awakening of the spirit for me for 4 hours in crediblble
They are GREAT ! Then@ NOW !!
Not to discount this performance, as it is truly fabulous, but Nash did not take all the same high lines as on the album. In particular, I noticed it in the "sparrow" lines.
This is still awesome.
@@jackquarantillo5192 see, I have come to the conclusion that Stills did the highest parts in falsetto back in the day. Nash is on top for 99% of the time, but in certain parts Stills goes on top. The “Friday evening” section on the original seems to me like nash is in the middle. It would make sense that you don’t hear that very top part as Stills probably can’t do the falsetto anymore. Also pretty sure Nash’s voice is a bit auto tuned on this
Vox populi. Vox dei
My favorites Stills song. Great talents, all of them. Having opened for Stills many years ago, I got to meet him and chat him up a bit. Way talented and underrated musician.

It struck me as quite a juxtaposition to the complex performance they just gave, especially having read about all they have been through over the years, individually and collectively.

It's amazing what one Martin guitar in the hands of the right guy can do.
Did he use open tuning in the original release?
Not sure it always has to be a Martin...
On some occasions however, it does - it really definitely does!
THIS is one of them. Masterly in every sense.
@@wilbporterwp Yes. Open tunings are often his go to songwriting place.
@@wilbporterwp It is weird tuning. I learned it last week and EVERY string is E (except the B string!) Once the tuning is finishes, the song is actually very easy to play. I can't imagine any other way of tuning the guitar for that song. It has a sound to it whereby the E strings "drone" throughout the song. I was a 19 yr. old at Woodstock, when I first saw these 3 angels . They introduced this song by saying " This is only the second time we've performed together, and we're scared shitless" Here, they introduce it, saying, " we haven't done this song in a very very, long time" ....Both times, they are being so absolutely sincere, and both times, they fall into each others spheres with such an absolutely magical fusion, that you can see their own reaction to the splendor of the oneness that results. Stephen Stills, in spite of being the last holdout to a hard living, hard partying life (which when compared to Dave Crosby really says a lot), carries the lead not only vocally, but as one of the best acoustic style players ever, solo, for most of the song . As another commenter, "Grandpa the Grey" said so well "From the time of primordial ooze, those three voices were destined to harmonize." I pity the ones who, for whatever reason, cannot see the clear magnificence that is manifested here.
You WERE at Woodstock man! Touched by these angels and inspired to state this so well. "Splendor of the oneness," "magnificence that is manifested". You got it. And thanks for repeating the "destined to harmonize"... All I can say is Far out!
Agree. Their own reactions say it all. That was magical.
I think it's so cool you were there and got to see/listen to those now-timeless classics!
Fred Sainte-Marie how true
Well, they were brilliant song writers alright, but they alway blew this one when they did it live. Meanwhile, there are cover groups that nail this tune to the wall.
This makes my heart ache...the Jam just gained one of the sweetest voices. RIP Cros.
Nash and Crosby harmony is insane. Crazy that Nash can still hit those notes, unreal. Fab guitar and singing by Stills to. RIP David
I'm so glad that Judy and Stephen went on tour together a few years ago! She still sounds awesome too!
God Bless Judy Collins for inspiring this song. I love her,the song and Crosby,Stills and Nash. They are all the best.
Just wiped a tear
For those who don't know Judy Collins, Google her image & you'll immediately realize why these guys fell in love & wrote this song!
Can you imagine being the inspiration for such a song? Judy is magnificent, in her own right, but this song makes anything else she's accomplished (sooo much) above and beyond. My heart nearly burst just listening to it. What a gift.
it is amazing that after all those years, Graham Nash could still hit those high notes.
Graham Nash ,just like his fellow Englishman Jon Anderson of Yes,has an amazing alto tenor range.
David Crosby Rest In Peace. What a talent. 🙏🏻
One of my favorite songs through the decades, and A very difficult song to do live and CSN nailed it! SS's voice and guitar playing are phenomenal, and the harmonies, still perfection!
Unbelievable perfomance.after.a long long long time!! They nailed it Best as ever!!!
They started in 1968 as Crosby, Stills & Nash, formed from former members of three prominent 1960s groups: The Byrds (David Crosby), Buffalo Springfield (Stephen Stills) and The Hollies (Graham Nash). 3:33
Suite: Judy Blue Eyes. The title is a play on words. "Suite" is a reference to a part of a classical composition, but it can also be interpreted as "sweet." The full-length version of the song can be considered a suite, with lots of musical changes.

May he rest in peace. I am glad I got to see him along with Stills Nash and Young in 1974. First concert I went to.
I saw CSN in concert in the early 1970s. The audience was silent. We didn't want to interfere with the harmonies. I saw them twice in the past 15 years. The audience was silent. We didn't want to interfere with the harmonies.
We are truly blessed to have come of age in those golden days.
A sad song-tale about Stephen Stills' deep love for fellow musician Judy Collins." Sweet Judy" was his unrequited love. This song sings of the joy of preserving the memories of our lost loves.
I'm in tears. You've brought back an era. And they still had every ounce of its depth and beauty. And that after some extremely hard and difficult years in between. Thank you so much for this gift! (Oh yes, I'm 73 years old.)
Suzy Swanson from Charlotte looking for fellow fans of this greatest band. I'm 65 and I still get rushes!
@@susanswanson3013 Incredible harmony singing. And after all those years. Jim, Chicago.

Yes I wish ,19
70 years old and it still brings tears to my eyes thinking of a spent youth.
63 - mine was misspent but not when it comes to the music of the day and concerts. Two things I wish I would have done more of: concerts and camping.
Age 67; feel the same way
I saw them live in Ottawa Ontario on June 18, 1996. It was magical.
Amazing performance..... thanks for all the memories and your brilliant talent... still listening in 2022.
Rip to an absolute legend. Crosby you will live on forever
WOW! I am in AWE! I saw these incomparable musicians in concert back in the day and they haven't lost their mojo one bit! These men are some of the greatest songwriters with (in my opinion) the best harmonies in the world. Simply AMAZING! Love, Love, Love!
This is my favorite live recording of this track, not only because it is really well performed, but the age in their voice adds so much beauty to the lyrics. Stills in particular is on a other level here. I want to break down crying during his solos.
You are not alone!
this was a great version by far!
They played this at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for their encore in both 2012 and 2014 and I can still remember standing, cheering, and crying with joy for both encores. Long live CSN.
Just WOW
Love these guys. This music will last forever. Thanks for all your music friends.👏
Pure magic! Every rapper needs to hear this for inspiration and see what true music and harmony are!
2024...I am now 71....takes be back to "Peace & Love"!
