About 25 years ago a group of us construction workers were on an elevator coming down from the top floor and then David Crosby came on the elevator. Everyone started whispering that's David Crosby. I watched him smile at the recognition. a few floors below he got out. I held the door for a few seconds and then yelled YO he turned and I said don't forget to tell your wife that you were on the elevator with Tom Bradford today. he looked at me and cracked up and said that's good my friend I'll make sure I do that. We all laughed our balls off, it was kind of cool.

Haha, I had a similar experience, Grand Rapids, Michigan, '88, I think. I was looking down, guy gets on, steps right in front of me, turns his face to the door. Now I have a semi bald guy, curly white hair in front of me. Full bodied. I'm saying to myself, this is David Crosby. Goes up two floors, see him in profile, and I'm sure its him. It was. And I couldn't say a word.

I'll be 66 this year and this song does bring tears to my eyes. In 1989 there was a Byrds reunion and I was lucky enough to attend one of the three shows. Each member came out seperately at the beginning of the show and play one song before the entire band kicked into it. Crosby played "Almost Cut My Hair" By now deceased best friend Bruce and eye just looked at each other, thinking of all the fights we'd had with our parents about hair, and how the po-lice used to pull us over just for having long hair. We felt vindicated, by god.

I am one of these, but I would rest easier at night if I knew there were many others like me. I have so much respect for the movement that yielded such talented social commentary; I wish more bands today would pick up the flag and the cause. We need MARCHING music, not simple entertainment! Saw just Nash and Crosby at Carnegie Hall maybe 20 years ago. Crosby's voice blew the hall out--simply beautiful. RIP--will miss him forever.

    歳はとっても、昔の熱いスビリットは忘れてはいない。この曲は、クロスビーの最高のパフォーマンスが見られる。素晴らしいハーモーニも、デビュー当時のままだ。

I remember seeing them at the Bijou theater in Knoxville back in the 90s..I was in tears when it was over..I had relived my teenage years of the 70s..it was awesome.

David Crosby has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard..Stills plays a real guitar. One of the few that can switch from acoustic to electric with meaning. Nash fills in the spaces perfectly..very perfectly

@@eduardoalcala8310 One song. We're talking about SS's entire body of work - from ALL the instruments (acoustic, bass, lead, organ, piano, congas, drums) on the 'Couch' album, producing, writing, to that solo album, Manassas, in any style - folk, crazy stadium rock, blues extraordinaire, Latin, you name it. The man was blessed and cursed with too much talent right from the start. The one talent he was missing was the ability to kiss the a&& of rock 'journalists' and they made him pay. You owe it to yourself to start googling around and catch up to 60 years of the man's work.
