- Half a century ago, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young released one of the greatest albums of the rock era, "Déjà vu." The record would sell eight million copies, but the band, and the friendships, did not endure. "CBS This Morning" co-host Anthony Mason talks with David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash about their shared history and the timeless music they produced, as "Déjà vu" gets a delayed 50th-anniversary expanded release.

Graham was the nicest person you could ever meet when we bumped into him outside after a show five years ago. He took photographs with everyone and shook our hands. He thanked us for coming to see him perform and for showing appreciation. He didn't have to approach any of us but he did.
Have your read his memoir "Wild Tales"?
CSN and CSN&Y are probably my favorite bands/bands of all time! I was fortunate and got to meet all of the members of CSN about 20 years ago in Atlanta. Graham Nash couldn’t have been nicer; Stills was pleasant; Crosby was aloof and distant. Still hope to meet Neil Young some day…

So sad to know David Crosby of Crosby, Stills, and Nash has died. They, as a team , were so great together. I grew up listening to their music and it was some of the best harmony i've ever heard.

Stephen Stills was the force behind that band. At the height of his powers and youth he was untouchable and inspirational.
For all the kids out there just now discovering CSN, do a RUclips search on Steven Stills's band "Manassas", and get a master's education on guitar playing. That band was a Who's Who of 70s musicians, and the creataivity and production of the sound still holds up to modern standards.
The others were in many ways stills back up and.
Crosby by far has the Harmony's well balanced For CSN.. without him CSN never thought OUT as a Harmony band.🙌
Stephen was the only real master of instrumentation in CSN, on top of being a great songwriter and vocalist. Nash & Crosby's strengths were mainly in singing/songwriting, but on the instrument playing side Nash was ok, and Crosby was quite average.

I’m 65. This band shaped me, made me who I am. They are still my favorite of all time. Thank you. I can’t imagine life without your music.
Sad that men, all now in the final stages of their lives, who understand so much about about each other miss the most basic virtue of forgiveness. There's no enduring friendships without it. Imagine the joy and real harmony they are missing....

I had the joy of seeing Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young live at Olympia Stadium in Detroit in June 1970, 51 years ago (yikes) and I was 2 months shy of turning 14. Indelible days. It was among the most important music of my formative years. I wish for them they might find rapproachement. They created a harmony and serenity for me that I continue to draw on in my 60s.
These four men are each phenomenal in their own ways. But put them together and the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I am lucky to have seen them all in concert.
I am in my sixties and I still love and cherish their music!
I'm only in my late 20's, no lie. My mom ALWAYS played CSN when i was growing up. She even had the box set that came out in the early 90's.

Much has been said about Crosby over the years, and much of it by David himself. He seems to have come to terms with who he is and his purpose in life, which is to make music. I was fortunate enough to see him on tour with his band in an intimate theater in Clearwater, Florida two years ago prior to the pandemic. His voice was excellent, his demeanor was humble and appreciative of those of us in the audience, the caliber of musicians on stage was first rate, and I left feeling grateful that I was able to experience an evening of music with an icon. Life is short. We should always remember to appreciate what we have and make peace with each other before it’s gone.
My daughter and her girlfriend, attending UCSB, were having dinner at a Mexican Food place near the Campus one night, in the late '1990s...
My daughter saw this man sitting alone at another table there, and kept looking over at him; she said she thought she knew him from somewhere..
He eventually saw them looking over and invited them over to his table..
They talked a while, had a pleasant conversation..
Later, my daughter remembered him!!! He was on the cover of the Deja' Vu Album I played for her and her sister when they were little kids..
I played all genre of music to them early on, so they could learn about all music, and appreciate it.
The man she recognized from the Deja' Vu album was David Crosby !!!
He eventually told them who he was...
She told him she recognized his face from a record album her Dad (Me) played to her and her sister, many times, when they were little kids..
David Crosby was very happy to know this..
He even paid for their meals when he left..
If I could only imagine what that night must have been like for her !!!!

I have to say this but dont mistake soft spoken for humility and he is anything but humble. . David Crosby is a chameleon and a terrible friend to Graham Nash . That being said they are all too old to let pride block their friendship. Crosby should approach Nash but his arrogance and pride wont allow him to. Sad. Just sayin

@@alienmcqueen David attacked Neil and Graham for leaving their wives of decades. He called Daryl Hannah a "poisonous predator." This goes years back to when Daryl made public her abuse by Jackson Browne. David took Browne's side. He has apologized to Daryl, but Neil is having nothing of it. He said Graham's book Wild Tales was full of lies. Graham said in another interview that David "ripped the heart out of the band." Stephen hasn't said anything publicly.

Déjà Vu was the record of my childhood. Amazing memories attached to these songs.

I'm 36, but I remember finding this record back in 1995. It was one of my Dad's collection. I said, "What's this hippy crap." - Then, I re-discovered them at the age of 31, (2015) - And was hooked on Deja vu ever since. Good music lasts forever.

Woodstock was their second gig. If anyone is curious as to where their first gig was, I can tell you because I was their in the Summer of '69. Joni Mitchell was headlining at the Greek Theater in Hollywood, CA and her good friends, CS&N, were billed as a special guest appearance leading up to their cross country trip to NY. I had just graduated from H.S. in Jackson,MS and met up with my good friend from E. Grand Rapids, MI and the two of us traveled west. The admission ticket was $6.00 each, and that put us center stage 4 rows back! John Sebastian was sitting directly in front of us the entire show. Joni performed her set of songs first and then introduced her friends. This is when they brought Neil out saying he was not on the first album, but will be on the next. Just thought you might like to know where they had their first 'gig'.

The good old days! I remember seeing Jerry Garcia and friends at “The Keystone” in Berkeley , many times for $5. The Bay Area in the 70s had so much good music happening.

they are still part of my soundtrack of life, 50 years later....
Those were VERY SPECIAL TIMES. i am GRATEFUL i was YOUNG Then & lived daily with the most Amazing musical soundtrack of my Life. The kids today just don't have a clue what we experienced; i'm not talking about all the drugs. these were such unique times & we were experiencing phenomenal Changes taking place worldwide. The main difference was the LOVE & the Intense feeling of true brotherhood & sisterhood we felt among our family of youth. We had very little money, wore simple clothes but we weren't unhappy -we SHARED what we had with each other. Today there is only GREED & Hate. I 'd happily go back to the love & Brotherhood -Happily. My old copy of DEHA VU needs Replacing but $100?? Like i said- GREED. Thank u CSN&Y.

We left a concert early to head off the traffic. CSN had left the stage and the backup musicians were playing. We got to a spot in the parking lot and were stopped by security. Three large tour buses were pulling out. First two left unceremoniously, and third came along. DAVID CROSBY was driving the bus!!! I'll never forget that sight. CSN and CSNY are in my top 5 favorite bands of all time. I'm glad I lived when I did.
Ok, kinda joking but, Dave was likely loaded, possibly unlicensed maybe never bus licensed, but fer sher CONTROL FREAK! LOL

There is no reason for them to come together anymore. They have recorded such fine and legendary music, and should be very proud of their legacy. A reunion would add nothing, they should just let it rest. Their mission has been accomplished.

Well, maybe not musically, but it'd sure be nice to patch things up for themselves...not us.
If their 'mission' is solely defined by their capacity to live up to your expectations of them onstage - then, OK, fair enough.
But if their mission is more akin to maintaining their own connection to their collective muse - like say, the way Modern Jazz Quartet did for decades long after their heyday - then maybe there's still something larger than you and your listening pleasure at stake here. Even setting aside the monumental weight of the broken friendships - after 55 years, who are we to call that mere codependency?
Musically it may not matter anymore, but for the sake of their friendship, I would like them see them patch things up. At least CSN.. I can do without Young's nasally whining voice. 😎

Deja Vu was one of the most influential albums of my youth. The songs hold up and still have meaning today. To replace my original that was stolen years ago, I just ordered the 50th anniversary edition as well as the debut CSN album. They arrive Monday so next week will by CSNY week at my house.
The first album was a masterwork, well, basically Steve Stills' genius masterwork. The second one was good, but not as good.

Very cool, Deborah! Very COOL! I am Helplessly Hoping right along with you, honey. You would think with all the positive energy all of us die hard fans are projecting their way, these 4 fellas would be kissing and making up any day now! It seems that all of us, and there appears to be ALOT of us, are all wishing and hoping and praying for the same thing... forgiveness and reuniting of these 4 brothers. For, if after everything they have been through together hasn't made them truly brothers, then nothing they sang to us about was real or true. If THEY can't believe in their own words and music and forgive each others faults and mistakes, how can they expect US to believe in what they were teaching? It would break my heart to know their GOD GIVEN voices and talent were used by them only to make money. I believed in their music. I believe in it still. It cannot end like this for CSN & Y !! I know they love each other. I want them to stop regressing to their 5 yr old selves and make up. If they ever wanted to be role models for the peace and love lives they've been singing about for 56 plus yrs, then this is their moment to really live it. Show us. Prove to all of us hippies and flower children and baby boomers that peace, love, and forgiveness ARE really all that matters. For them to forgive and love again would be more powerful a statement than any song they could ever sing us. Just what this old hippie chic believes, anyway. Helplessly HOPING is such an understatement of what I'm wishing for!!

I know the guys all have good relationships with The Lord and it's obvious GOD loves them too, cuz He's the ONE who gave them those voices! I ask GOD all the time to please keep the guys together and healthy because I would LOVE to see them 1 more time. I'm sorry if that's selfish, but I see that many many more of CSN's fans are praying and wishing for the same thing. I want GOD to do a small miracle and make them all like each other again. I know they LOVE each other. Sometimes you don't LIKE the people you LOVE and that's what we have here. We need some Divine Intervention here!!!

I remember sitting around a crappy little record player with my friends listening to Deja Vu over and over. When the needle dropped on that album for the first time, I had an out of body experience. Much like I did when I first heard Are You Experienced, Rubber Soul, Revolver, the White Album, and Abbey Road. Give me those six albums to listen to and I'm set for eternity.
Add to your list Neil Young's 1st album.
Those were all albums i had as well... along with Carol Kings Tapestry... James Taylor Sweet Baby James... Chicago, Doobies and a few others.... Life was good then...
@Will Gray - I have all but The White Album in my collection. I agree, those albums reach a place deep inside of me, that other groups do not even come near. I also have Tapestry by Carol King, and numerous others from that era, more than I can fit on here. That's what collecting does to you, when you do it over half a century.
Still at the top of my list as one of the best vocal groups to come out of that era, I say that more about the harmonies and lyrical compositions that at age 78 I still listen to, cover on my own and enjoy, probably will till I pass from this mortal existence. Thank you CSNY for your contribution to the music.

Sophomore in High School 1977 my choir buddies and I hung out in the stairwell, singing Paul Simon's "The Boxer" and "Helplessly Hoping" weaving and fine tuning our harmonies. Those were the days...😄🤗🎼🎵🎶

The end of Nash and Crosby's friendship is one of the saddest stories in rock. It absolutely breaks my heart.
And Deja Vu is one of the greatest albums ever recorded. The title track, and "Carry On" give me goosebumps EVERY TIME I hear it.

Graham didn't have to fall victim to the cliche of trading in his wife for a younger version (a wife who was and is a good friend of Mr. and Mrs. Crosby). Such a sad cliche.
I’m 46 years old and only recently discovered this album about 8 years ago. Needless to say I was absolutely blown away at how incredible their harmonies sounded after hearing the first few bars of Carry On. I was hooked. Their music will endure.

I am at the same age. When I was in college more than twenty years ago in China small city, someone sold me damaged foreign pop music tapes, ( it must be some minor damage because of smuggling, China didn’t open the door as wide as now, and people usually didn’t get enough channel to access those stuff). I got CSN tapes, totally 3 tapes. That influenced my entire young age, and learnt how wonderful harmonics can be in a band. Their music was so powerful and I took them as God then, and some years later, I came to US and watched their show in Madison Squares Garden in NYC, I remembered I didn’t see other Asian lady like me over the crowed 😅. They are life time legend, and they are gem of this country.
I’m 48 and have been listening to CSNY since I was 17 and before that I was listening to it because my folks listened to it.
Been listening since 1970, as an inner-city black kid they were foreign to me, I was listening to R & B some of the greatest groups of that era, my twin brother introduced me to this talented trio, didn't think much of them when I saw their album cover I thought they were a bunch of poorly dressed white boyz. Once I listened I was hooked!!! their harmony was pure and their guitar playing was smooth the lyrics were different but cool. Neil Young came along later and was just the edge they needed. I have several of their C D's groups and individual. One of the best of all time in my humble opinion.
Sad there will never be a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Reunion Tour. One of the best bands ever in the history of Rock Music.
at this point and at their age frankly I'm not sure that's totally sad; that's maybe just as well. as Grace Slick once said: "rock is for young people." certainly to perform at least. I'd had to see a diminished product out there; I'd rather not see it at all and enjoy what it was.
I believe that we all eventually finish one chapter of our lives and begin a new chapter. Life is a combination of happy times and sad times and we must be thankful for those happy times no matter how long or short they last. In that regard, the end has come with CS&N like it has with Fleetwood Mac like it has with The Eagles like it has with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. We must now move on to the next chapter and everything new it brings with it.
I don't mean to bring everyone down but, take pleasure knowing how great it's been having James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Peter Frampton, Bob Seger, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Neil Diamond in our lives. We'll never see the likes of those great performers again. If you ever get the chance to see John Fogerty in concert, don't miss it.
@@joe-vz6hx Excellent observation. Frankly, David Crosby is lucky to be alive. As a Stagehand for BGP, I witnessed Crosby's over indulgence first hand when I was summoned to his dressing room and sent on an errand to buy a dozen lighters. There was Crosby free basing coke, bloated and unrecognizable with eyeballs bulging. I wondered how he was able to perform but later that year he nearly died. As you point out, 70 years of age seems to be the drop off for even the best so, better that they go out now than over stay their welcome.

There was a reunion concert, it was in Oakland, California in the early 2000's. Beautiful harmonies, great experience!
anyone, who knows anything about being a musician, knows, that when people THAT good get together, egos will eventually tear them apart, for one reason or the other. Me, I am just thankful for all that they have given us: not just that album, but especially the ones that Crosby and Nash did together, as well as several of their solo albums.

And if you watch the movie, that gig did not go that well for them. They sounded pretty bad.
It reminds me of the story of Emerson, Lake & Palmer. A British band with a completely different sound, but also a "supergroup" composed of three musicians from successful bands, going out under their combined names. And ELP's second gig was the Isle of Wight Festival, as big a deal in Britain as Woodstock was in the USA.

Crosby's Leeshore and Guinevere, Delta and Almost Cut My Hair; Still's Suite:Judy Blue Eyes, 4+20, Carry On, and Daylight Again; Nash's Our House, Marrakesh, Cold Rain,and Cathedral; Young's Ohio, Cinnamon Girl, After the Gold Rush, and Sugar Mountain. Completely different musicians yet they belong together. So beautiful and bittersweet. There's no need for a reunion. We have the songs.
I can dig the fact that they will never perform together again because anything that I ever walked away from I never looked back and I’m good with it...
Your music woke me up and changed how I hear sound. It breaks my music loving heart that the 50th anniversary of your masterpiece can't melt the hurt between you. Teach the children transforms into teach these grown men. Heal.
I saw them at The Fillmore East...'69 or '70...they were unbelievable !! One of the best shows I've ever seen.
Wow. How did I miss that one? I used live a couple blocks away from the Fillmore back then. And on my way home I would look at the marque and buy tickets for like $3. Got to see Led Zeppelin , Santana, Allman Bros.,BB King and others. I had tickets to go see Band of Gypsies but had to sell them because I couldn't make it. Jimi died a short time after that. Sad. But I sure miss not seeing CSNY back then. Glad you got to see them live.
Crosby's ego and his lofty view of himself is why things became what they are. And Stills was the jewel in the band.
And the fact that he's a liberal, didn't help at all either. ;-(

For those of us who were around when this album first came out, we have our memories; we don't need a reunion tour. As Bob Dylan wrote, "You can always come back, but you can’t come back all the way".
I bought it when it came out. I was not yet 12. It was my second lp purchase after Abbey Road. Still two of my favorite albums.

Ah. I was married in 1968 at age 21, and singing these songs with my husband and a friend as soon as we heard each album. I guess I knew there were 12-year olds listening to the records, but my friends all thought this music, and CSN (not Neil) belonged to us.
Those are the best first two record purchases ever. Two of the greatest albums of all time by two of the greatest bands of all time. You did good, my friend.

My older sister Gail was an artist She would working on an art project in her room she’d put this album on and leave the record players arm over so that whe the record ended it would automatically start over Over and over I would hear this album from her room RIP Gail died June 1974

Even though I am only 29 years old, my mom raised me on this music-and I love Crosby, Stills, and Nash (and Young). I still listen to their music regularly. Of all their songs, “Southern Cross” is my absolute favorite. I can listen to it over and over again at one time and never get tired of it.
No need to mention your age. Good music is timeless.
That was my real introduction to CS&N. I heard their songs as a child but didn't know the band itself. I saw them live on that tour and I was hooked. I worked backwards to learn more about them. Saw and met them at Live Aid. Really great band!
I have to wonder if David Crosby had been more generous, tolerant and considerate of his bandmates and others, if he wouldn't be in a better place right now.
Same could be said of Young
His comments are proof that words matter. Things you say can hurt someone more than a punch in the face and they last over decades. I think what he says should serve as a warning to watch what you say.

Had front row seats for the Freedom of Speech tour in Atlanta. When they came out, Graham stood directly in front of me and my daughter. Proudly wearing my Neil & Crazy Horse t-shirt, Graham pointed at me and said "Nice shut", which I assumed was English for "shirt". Hours later he threw me a pick after their last encore. My most prized rock memorabilia to this day. What a group.
At this stage of their lives, considering what they've done, shared, been through together through the years, it's a tragedy that this is how it will end up until their dying days.

David Crosby is so grounded and intelligent, it's difficult to explain why some regrettable things come out of his mouth. Btw listen to his album If Only I Could Remember My Name (1971); it's like finding another CSN album from those days, and it's ridiculously beautiful.

Also his last 5 albums are one better than the other. The last one, For Free, is masterpiece
I've thought about this alot and I finally realized that the reason he said those things is probably due to his age. As we get older, the part of our brain that " dies" first is the part that acts as our " filter". The part of our brain that cautions us from saying the wrong things. You know how older people will say some really off the wall things. I'm 66 and I've noticed I have to watch how I say things more closely. Older people say they've earned the right to say whatever they want, however they want to. I agree, but sometimes things come out too bluntly. Hurtful. Like their " filter" isn't working. I read somewhere about aging and our brains and how our censorship area is affected as we get older. It's just like our short term memory is affected first by aging. Just something I remembered reading about and thought perhaps that is what happened to the Cros. We all think twice about saying things sometimes. It's just that as we age, our ability to self edit doesn't work so well anymore. Maybe it's just as simple as that. Whatever the reason, after years and years of loving each other and all the other stuff these 4 guys have lived thru together, they shouldn't let some odd comments or rude statements destroy what decades of love and trust have built. I'm praying that the guys will realize these things. Years of love, trust and being there for each other should definately outweigh some mean or stupid thoughts or opinions that shouldn't have been spoken aloud or at all. Come on, guys, " teach your children" or are we teaching you?

It’s sad that that era of music will never be repeated . Pop/rock is all about selling products now. No one buys the physical copy of these recordings anymore. Everything is downloaded. There is something magical about owning and album or a great book. I’m glad vinyl is making a resurgence .

A myriad of friendships were born by listening to this album. They have stood the test of time much like this magnificent album. Mic drop.
I first watched the Rather interview and I was so impressed that after so many years, there seemed to be a genuine relationship between the three. How disappointing to find there is nothing left. Sad in the twilight, they no longer are a part of that fantastic voice.
Thanks! Watching this profile gave me great sadness and joy. I’ve fortunately had the opportunity to watch CSNY live and it is a beautiful memory, one thing - “teach your children well” is a guide. Hopefully the group can bring back David Crosby. A lesson for our children is forgiving! Hopefully the band can come together again and recommend they tour with the concept “forgiving is important”. I won’t preach here and hopefully the gentleman come to terms with the fact that their concepts are greater than their personal anger. 🙏 Please help to “teach our children well- or as Todd Rundgren’s iconic song “sons of 1984” taught us all a lesson to prepare our children for a better world
I love David's voice
Saw CSN in San Diego about ten years ago. Ish. It was a fantastic show. In the middle they each did a few solo numbers. When David started his bit, a’capella, his voice rang out so clear and pure and just filled every corner of the Civic Theater (which has horrible acoustics, by the way), the crowd froze in silence, awestruck at the sound. Momentous evening.
david was the last one to keep a good voice.
As a resident physician in Dallas I had a moonlighting job at the Dallas county jail.Crosby was an inmate there for a while.We had many conversations.I do not agree with his politics but he was a true artist and a very intelligent person.I have met all three of them and Crosby seemed to be the most intellectually gifted.Nash is a true English gentleman.
I'm 25 and discovered these guys a few years ago. I hope they can forgive each other....before its too late

I’m so fortunate to have seen every possible formation of these 4 men. I’ve seen them all together, separately and in every configuration they have played in, including David and his son in CPR. I will never forget how amazing these music makers are.
AMEN, my brother, AMEN! Me too. I've seen every configuration, bought every album compilation, every record they "guested" on too! It's alot more expensive than if they had been just a 4 man band! But, OH! The great and wonderful music! The best soundtrack of my life I could have ever wanted! I'm SO THANKFUL I got to be alive while they were here on earth too. Meeting them was the absolute highest moments of my life. I'll never forget even one tiny detail. Peace and love to you, my like minded friend!

Saw them at the Greek decades ago Aug.30, 1976..The Birds opened and Neil Young showed up as well. I gave birth to my son the next day.

Was always great to go to one of their concerts in Berkeley because the others would likely show as well. Saw Manassas at Berkeley community, Neil and Crosby came on, Neil singing ‘Helpless’ and the three of them singing ‘Find the Cost of Freedom’ to close the show.

I saw CSN at a small outdoor venue when I was 18. I knew who they were and a few of their most popular songs but I was blown away by their combined vocals. I've been a fan for life ever since and this album really is that good.
They are like mirrors of what happens with friends and people you know
Sometimes and often we all do and say stuff that we don't realize how destructive it is at the time

I'm 58 and can't say enough times how those of us who grew up during these years experienced the best musical experience no one after us could say the same. Music today is just 'okay' but I continuously listen to the music of yesteryear. What a time it was.
I mean, at 58 you were about 5 to 8 years old for their forming/breakup but of course the hits played on for years after, standards on radio and record players so yes I would say you grew up with it, this was your parent's music but it was also your childhood 'background music'. Your 'coming of age' music, let's say the music your fellow teens were listening to, the grad dance music of your era would have been some peak 'Disco' era. Your 'Grad Dance' would have been what.. The Police, maybe Queen? boogie oogie woogie till ya just cant dance no more? Your Grad Dance 'slow song' was almost certainly Air Supply?
I get what you mean though, this was the music of your childhood, its what was the dominating music of your earliest memories and formative years.
I'm a decade older, and this stuff really WAS the music I lived for. But it breaks my heart to hear people around my age claim that "music today is just OK," or many times something far less positive... yeah, we witnessed something really special. But the best "music today" is leagues beyond what it was in my youth. Anyone saying differently is listening to "popular" music, which has ALWAYS been mediocre.

They couldn't understand our taste in music, much the same as the parents of our friends, all "easy listening" folks. We had something they didn't have growing up - transistor radios and 45s.
Music transcends time... I’m sure it was as wonderful then as it is now. Would’ve been great to see Beethoven or Mozart perform, but none of us did. Who cares when/where you were/are at the time... it’s music... close your eyes and take the journey. These arguments are stale...

Crosby Stills Nash and Young is one of my all time favorite bands and listening to this interview I really appreciate the honesty in Graham Nash but I would like to say to him Graham I walk out of my father's life over a argument after 3 years we never spoke to each other and I would come to terms and my younger sister was getting married and a week before her marriage my father pass away I never got the chance to see my father and lived with this since 1989. I pray in my heart you can reach out and talk with David and make amends.

That's how it often goes. The band was CSN&Y, not CSNY&R. Reeves was a good bass player but backing band musicians are typically not part of short segments like these. They only pay attention to the stars. A longer documentary about making the Deja Vu album would've included mentions of the backing band members.

They were my first concert in 1987 they were awesome, David Crosby was still in grips of addiction he just got out of jail . He said "never get arrested in Texas it blanking sucks ! ".
I have seen the three sing together in over 15 concerts during the last 40 plus years. I never got tired of them singing the same songs. I especially loved it when Nash would sing Cathedral or the group would sing Suite Judy. Such a great band a great harmonious sound. I do miss them a lot. I know words have killed many relationships over the years; I just hope its not too late for these three guys to resolve their issues and sing again. I am afraid that before long we will loose one of the three and then it will be too late for them and all their friends. I know saying I am sorry is one of the hardest things to do. I just wish they would. Until then, I will listen to all of my favorite songs and remember all of those many magical and special concerts.

So sad they are at odds with one another. Their music sang about love, peace and coming together. To leave the planet feeling anger, pain and hurt is childish, time to take a last step of courage, to look into one another’s eyes and see the love not the hate and misunderstandings, to feel the incredible music you guys made and the good times and realise just what you have given to us guys that love you oh so much and want you to bliss out and feel the joy of being alive and happy. ❤️🤗❤️

I recently finished David Browne's book on CSNY and they created a truly magical, masterpiece and then spent the rest of their lives running away from it,I think they were like Icarus and got too close to the sun,I think as crazy as it sounds,they will end their lives with a lot of regrets, they did however touch a lot of lives and were the heart beat of a really magical time in music and in popular culture, on that level,they can take a bow.
Spotlight is one of my favorites by Crosby & Nash. Saw them Summer of 76 in NJ
