PHEW. Thanks. Bought one off an independent eBayer, they don't seem particularly suspicious and have 100% Feedback etc but that comment about the seals had me worried from the pics! I'll see for sure when it arrives tomorrow.
An easy way to check if the phone is fake is to record an 8K video at highest available fps. Either the fake phone simply cannot do it, or the quality of the video will be awful.
These companies are making and selling fake phones at a significantly high margins and the cost of production is also low for these phones. They don’t have to spent money on advertising, R&D and all other things. These things will be covered by the original company. I think that is why they stick to fake phones.
Wouldn't be surprised if there is some collaboration from actual legit phone making companies already. The bottom line is always Profits! Using each and every loophole to legally rake a buck.
@@DMalek I've actually owned some of these fake phones and most cost $200 or less. The customization features are normally better on the Chinese phones, hard to explain without a video, but changing the ui, the keyboard, the way the screen swipes, how to get to the command center and the animations it plays, the color flashes and notifications, there were SOO many options. I had Android users thinking I had an iPhone and iPhone users thinking I had an iPhone running a modified OS. It looked like an iPhone but was running a funky Android OS. I loved that phone, but I dropped it and shattered the screen. 😕 But legit, a lot of them are great. Check out the Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro. Not a bad phone for the price, and most Chinese sites have it marked down by $100 or so, so whatever the review price they list on RUclips, you can normally find it half off on actual sites (which is what I did).
It would probably be the slowest piece of garbage though, since the official OS that ships with the real S24 Ultra is designed with much better hardware in mind. Also, there might be issues and incompatibilities with drivers and stuff.
Unfortunately my girlfriend just got scammed out of $560 for a fake Galaxy S24 ultra. The thing is running Android 7 and its the slowest phone ever. Its crazy how close it is to the real thing, the craftsmanship blows my mind

Wow, we're at the point where even a phone repairman doesn't remember what a microSD card slot looked like. The phone manufacturers really has done it, they've successfully killed the idea of user replaceable/upgradable storage.
Man, too late for me. I was scammed by an even better fake a few days ago, on monday, and lost 800 Euros. Mine had paper seales like the real one and even the writing on the seal was there. It also has IMEI 1 and IMEI 2 written on the packaging and they even made a fake receipt. I feel so dumb and my money is gone. Still thank you for this video and if you want pictures of my fake device and packaging just write me a pm.
I had a customer in my store that came in with a 1TB version, asking to help with her transfer. I noticed right away that it was a fake phone, and it was even reporting that the system was taking up over 600gb. My coworkers and the customer were fooled, but once I opened the camera app, there was no denying it.

Some fake are actually pretty well copy until you get to the android version part. That's the first sign you find thwt it's fake. The second is camera quality and the third is fake storage. So before you pay, have them open it go to settings and look at the android version by spamming it. Then check the camera quality. If they refuse to do so, walk away.
Lol a work friend and I were on a business trip and this dude outside an airport was selling brand new "galaxy phones" for half price, my work friend bought one, it seemed all good, except when he put a sim card in it wouldn't connect to a network, it connected to WiFi ok and he tried to install an app but it just said it didn't have enough memory to install even one app 🤣 when we got home he took it to a Samsung shop turns out it wasn't even a phone it had no actual phone radio, it did have WiFi connectivity only and only just enough ram to run the operating system and it did have a working memory card slot so all it was good for was using as a MP3 player and browsing the Web via WiFi.
