There is a type of jailbreak where you trick your iPhone into thinking you have any iPhone model you want. This also gets you a funcioning action button and dynamic island on other phones. Would be pretty cool to see this on the modded XR.
With the Ding Tweak (only jailbroken) you can change the silent button to do other stuff, therefore the action button can be an actual action button, also using tweaks to black out the top can hide the notch and add a dynamic island.

Well yes, but in reality it's not really doable. The iPhone XR uses an IPS LCD screen. Those ones use way higher voltage than OLED panels. He'd fry the OLED panel instantly.
