Im opening up a shopify store. I have a handful of images I created. Originally it was just supposed to ne stickers but I also liked how they look on the Mugs, Magnets and Tote bags. Would you recommend I launch the store with all of them, or is offering all of them too many niches? Or do a slow roll out?
The issue with this is you'll have to pay for ads to get traffic. It's very expensive and Facebook ads are not working well right now. You much better off going to a place with built in traffic like Amazon seller central, eBay or etsy
Is your community only for people who start? I am more about how to grow my pod and make first sale, so will it be worth for me? Just want to know because 99 a month is a lot :)
Hi Shimmy, if I have a general humor-themes POD apparel store selling in 15 niches, do you recommend I open a Shopify store selling in these products 15 niches OR Should I focus only on 1 niche for Shopify? The reason I want the same designs and that too in same 15 niches on Shopify too because I know that sell well and provides me income diversification rather than boxing myself in a single niche? I would appreciate your thoughts, thanks!
I would recommend if you're selling on Shopify to focus on 1 niche, especially if you plan to run outside traffic to your store. That's not to say the other method can't work. I just think it would be a lot harder and a lot more expensive
Hi Shimmy I've got a question for u plz.if U put a design up.does it have to be registered with the Ipo.and have it Trade marked. I've got one design registered, but to add more it would take to long
How many listings did you see the biggest turning point? Im currently at 35 listings but i started last week, i want to do etsy ads but im still in the 15 day window and i dont want to do ads till i hit the 50+ listing mark
It's been a while I can't really remember. We recommend people have 100 listings on their shopify store before launching. With Etsy you'll want significantly more. But With etsy don't wait for a certain number before posting the designs, just batch make and batch post, then batch make again and batch post. Keep uploading new designs
@@shimmymorris1 thank you for the quick reply. Ive made a fair amount of Halloween ones with Halloween just around the corner and going to start making some Christmas ones tonight or tomorrow!
people buy gifts for Christmas for the entire 3 months before Christmas and then will wear those graphic t-shirts long after because they don't have to be Christmas related.. People buy a halloween graphic maybe 2 weeks before if they see something cute. Wear it one day and realise that was dumb...
Guess what? If you scoff at it you won't do it. If you take advice that is actually logical and obvious,, you'll have success even if slowly at first. But I'm betting you won't do it and then you'll tell everyone that its all lies. Despite never having bothered trying. Look I get it. It's scarey to start because we're all scared to fail. But truth is successful entrepreneurs fail several times before finding success. It's a cliche but a true fact that those who succeed don't see failure as failure but learning opportunities. Don't give up just because you're not a millionaire within 3 months.... Ditch all the bs gurus and watch shimmys videos. Trust me if you do and don't just give up at first hurdle, you do OK grin😊
ye, that won't happen. I wish it was that easy. Even going full time, 10 hours a day, this would be a struggle. Not impossible, but if it's your first time trying, It would be very very difficult
Thank you Shimmy, the good advice you give is very practical, actionable and inspiring!
Thank you so much !
Ok. 1) run more ads, 2) create more products, 3) push hard during Christmas sales time. 👍
Push push push 🚀
i agree, focus on this 3 months. Thanks man!
100%
Great wisdom, Shimmy!
thank you!

I would launch the store with one product and once you’re making money and you’ve validated your designs and niche. Then scale to more products

no, I don't trademark any of my designs
Thanks Shimmy
How many designs should I upload per day??
I am new so I have no experience.
It depends on the platform. We try to do 50 new designs a month to our Shopify store
the knee brace probably spiked, because of the colder months and people getting older not realizing it's age, and not a new injury.
Haha that’s true. Also winter sports injuries. But that wouldn’t really happen in October and November
How is your POD store doing?

"making designs for halloween for one day"... ...um.. you do know that christmas is one day.... right?
You know full well Christmas is a much bigger spend for people than Halloween.
people buy gifts for Christmas for the entire 3 months before Christmas and then will wear those graphic t-shirts long after because they don't have to be Christmas related.. People buy a halloween graphic maybe 2 weeks before if they see something cute. Wear it one day and realise that was dumb...
Bro you give me hope🥲
good to hear!
Oh yeah, and in just 2 weeks I will go from zero to having a product, designs, website, and everything in place to make money. BS!!
