    In Midjourney I also include "no shadow" on white background. Just sometimes helps with the cutout, depending on what program you use for thr mockups 😀

    I really appreciate the quality of your videos. They've been incredibly helpful. I'm curious about one aspect though - it seems like you haven't demonstrated the process for creating 500 mockups. Am I right in thinking that? If so, I'm wondering if you're suggesting we manually replace 500 designs for 500 mockups, or if there's a more efficient method you teach in your course. Could you help me understand how you envision us approaching this task?

    Shimmy, would these principles apply when selling wall art online, too? I always would put a close-up of the art as my first image, but what about the other slots? Would images of room styles that match the art style be a good idea? What is your opinion?

    You said you'd explain why you wouldn't recommend model mockups, but I think you forgot :) is it because flat lay can better represent unisex T-shirts?
    Also, Canvas 3001 seems to be most widely used type for POD. Can you share why you prefer Gildan 64000?

    Thanks for this video Shimmy, very helpful as always. We use custom/branded inside labels with Printify, and I'm keen to know how you would deal with the visible label/tag on the mockup example used in this video (I've searched for mockups without the label for the 64000 but can't find any of similar quality)? Would you explain the label situation in the product description, perhaps, or just not worry about it... or something else? 🙏

    Thanks Shimmy! I'm sold on this new markup concept and want to implement to a store with ~ 150 shirts... ** I'm lost though ** on how to replace existing Printify mockups with these new ones and have each one tie to the color palette / variant (i.e., user hovers over Military Green and new Military Green mockup shows, etc.). Thanks!

    This might be a really silly question, but if someone visits your T-shirt page on your Shopify (or WooCommerce in my case) store and sees that all of the T-shirts have the same mockup, is that weird? Is it necessary to have a different flat lay mockup for each design, or am I overthinking this? If they are all exactly the same then the customer might get suspicious that it's not the actual T-shirt in the photo. Really appreciate your hard work on these videos. You give fantastic information!

    Okay, so I got approved for a POD account with Amazon Merch no problem, less than a week. I created a bunch of designs using Canva (my own ideas and designs, no one else's) and uploaded my first design and it was immediately rejected. I was careful with my wording, followed all the do's and don'ts they list out.....any ideas? I did put my own logo on the back, because it was my design...do you think that's what did it? I've reached out to them to ask for more details and have since removed the logo to see if that was the issue. Thoughts?

I found this of utmost interest to me because I have wasted so much time trying to find mockups I like and just using a hanging shirt from printify at the moment. I personally cannot stand all the mockup photos being woke genz'ers, especially since they would never buy any of my designs. Shimmy, your videos are usual spot on...however I'm a bit confused with your criticism of the "Crazy Dog Lady" tee with the tied waist (6:41). That shirt has 5k reviews and a 4.9 rating. If only 10 percent of people leave a review, as suggested by many RUclipsr's, then this person has sold 50,000 of these tees. I find it highly unlikely that they sold 50,000 of these, so lets say that they sold 5,000 (one for each review)....what the heck is wrong with that? I'd take that any day! lol!

    • @shimmymorris1
      @shimmymorris1  13 дней назад +1

      I hear your point. That shirt doesn't have 5k reviews, her etsy shop has 5k reviews... that shirt has 9 reviews and has sold 15 times in the last year. So no, they haven't sold 5k of these... not even 1% of that... Now, saying that, there are always outliers with anything. I'm not referring to individual designs here and there that might do well going against the grain, I'm talking about the vast majority of designs that do well.

    There’s obviously no magic formula with mock-up strategies. Different types of mock-ups might work better or worse for different types of stores. You’ll notice that Shimmy was criticizing the “crazy dog lady” shirt mock-up but that shop has over 23,000 sales. What do we make of this? I think it boils down to using some common sense (everything in this video is good advice) and testing out different methods for your own shop and see what works.

    • @shimmymorris1
      @shimmymorris1  12 дней назад

      that is true, and this shirt has 15 sales in the last year. she has many different mockups in her store but there will always be anomalies. It's not an exact science for every single tshirt ever listed... i'm only talking about the majority.
