26 years ago, (1997) I took my parents to see Don Rickles at The Desert Inn. In the old days of Vegas, if you "schmized" the Madre D a tip, you got a good seat. Since the tickets were comped, and I had 4 tickets, I gave him $50, and we sat up front. When Don walked in, he passed by our seats, and made fun of the shirt I was wearing, and then kissed my Mom! Later in the show, he called me up on the stage, and we did the same routine, with me double talking Japanese. After returning to my seat, an assistant came over and gave me a bottle of champagne that had Don Rickles' picture on the label. I will always remember him. A true Legend and Class Act!

For a not so tall fella he was a Giant in my book. Spreading laughter is medication for tired souls. His and ours.
I also saw Don at the Desert Inn during late 90's with my wife (Lorna Luft opened) - awesome memory

I had the same happen to my four. Mid 80’s brother turned 21 , took him his guest and my wife. Greased the maitre D a couple of 20’s. Front row , elbows rubbing stage. Rickles took me up onstage when the first guy had stage fright. Fed Don some straight lines , did the Japanese routine (I actually knew a few Japanese phrases). We had champagne , some flowers and somehow a picture of me on stage with him . Still framed in my home. Only regret was I never had it autographed.

Rickles pulled me up on stage twice. Once in Atlantic City; once in Vegas. I will never forget it. A legend among legends.

I have been a comedian and actor for 26 years and this man to me was a comedy God,, and one of my all time idols. I went and saw Don when he was 81 years old about 16 years ago. Thanks to my buddy Bill Keenan we were right up front, nobody was safe, and when it was my turn to get picked on you couldn't wipe the smile off my face. I told Don I was a comedian and that was it he destroyed me, there were some other portly men sitting near me and he looked at the three of us and said "what is this guess your weight, I got three baby apes right up front". When he was done he looked down at me and said " no I'm kidding son, God bless you, it's a tough buisness, but I hope you make it". For a few seconds one of my idols addressed me and it meant the world. When Mr. Rickles died a few years back it was the end of an era
He picked on every nationality, race, creed, color, and religion. He did it in a way to poke fun at the bigots and as he says in his show "I dream of the day when the Bigot will disappear". He was from a time where we could all laugh at ourselves. Thank you Mr. Warmth, I miss you, the world needs your humor now more then ever. Thank you Mindy and the Rickles estate for keeping Don alive and letting us relive his genius over and over again.

I saw Don Rickles on my 30th birthday back in 2015. It was a great experience. Even though at that time Mr. Rickles was unfortunately having to sit in the chair due to health, his mind was still as sharp as ever. I'll never forget it.

I had the pleasure of meeting (my hero) Don when I was in my early twenties, (the 90's) - working at Paramount Studios as tour guide. He could not have been nicer. I will never forget him and the comfort and humor he brought to my life. May he RIP Don. We love you forever. And ever. And a little ever more.

I saw The Don live about 20 times, almost all in Vegas, and it was always a money in the bank show. Sure, a lot of the material was unchanged from 1 show to next, but Don was also the master of improv. All he needed were "victims" seated in the front rows & the universe unfolded as it should. A highlight of my life was being called a "Nazi bastard" by him. A true irreplaceable original, the likes of which we will never see again. #IGotYourWokeRightHere

My parents and brother saw him live and loved it. I see Don as a lovable uncle. Even as a kid I loved him and would stay up late on summer vacation nights to watch him on The Tonight Show.

I got to see Don live at Westbury Music Fair on Long Island, Ruth Eckerd Hall and Van Wezel Hall in Florida over the years. Non stop laughs every time. He was also the greatest talk show guest of all time. I also had the pleasure of talking with Don on radio. One of a kind talent. Thanks for posting.

I am from the north atlantic and in 2010 my brother said you have to see this video on youtube. It was the second an. Of president Reagan and Rickles was magic. 3 years later we traveled to Vegas and saw his show in the Orleans hotel. Magic

I,m 15 year old romanian and unfortunately , i never got to see him in real life, to be in his show , see him in television ,or be insulted by him and that probably because i been born in 2007 , and Don Rickles died 10 year later so that means i was 10 years old , but i hope i will insulted by him in heaven

Thrilled to have the opportunity to see Don perform. I'm in my twenties, so the only way I ever saw him before this was on late night talk show clips or in films. What a legend. He was truly from a golden era of American entertainment

Saw Don in the late 90s in Reno. It was a late show and we were half in the bag by the time the show started. Laughed so hard I thought I ruptured something. I've never laughed that hard before or since. RIP Don, you were an absolute gem.

I absolutely got to see him twice! The first time it was at the Bergen PAC, because someone gave me a ticket after I had just gotten off work, and I got a chance to listen to Mr. Rickles‘s sense of humor, and I got a chance to shake his hand, and he said you take care of yourself, tiny as soon as I was leaving and it felt real good to be celebrated with that kind of insult. The last time I got to see him watch with Regis Philbin and my mother and I both got to see him and I told him how much I appreciated him that time. Well did I know that it would be the last time he would be seen alive, I don’t think so. But he felt gratified that I could tell him how much does humor helped me get through the most difficult time
A true legend, One of my favorites. Seen him on Dean Martin's celebrity roasts many times!! R.I.P. Don you are truly missed.
