When I was a kid, it was from watching Frank Gorshin doing his impressions of, mainly, tough-guy actors, on TV, that made me want to see those old movies in the first place. I owe Mr. Gorshin a debt of gratitude for being instrumental in turning me into a classic film buff.

To nearly everyone in my generation Frank Gorshin will always be, first and foremost, the Riddler. But to me he will also be George Burns. I took my mother to see him in the one man play "Say Goodnight Gracie" in the Spring of 2001, not long after my father had died. He was phenomenal as George Burns discussing his (Burns) life. Very funny and heart warming and most importantly he gave a lot of pleasure to my mother that night. Thanks for that Frank.

Love this guy. I met him on the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey. I got off work early. I saw him in a car beside me. I pulled up right beside him to be sure it was him. It was a rainy day. I flag him over. He was a nice enough guy to oblige my request.
I was a little dirty from work. I told him I didn’t want to get his car dirty. He said “Don’t Worry About It, It’s Rented.” I got in the car and like Jimmy Cagney I said “I Didn’t Mean To Pull You Over.” He got a kick out of it. He was working The Playboy Club he told me. What a Great, Down to Earth Guy! I got his Autograph. I thanked him for it and for pulling over to talk for about 10 minutes or so. It was something I’ll never forget!!

@@garychambers5850 Nice thought. GOD knows His own in every walk of life. But there are two resurrections, bro: "the first" is for those who lived to bless others. And "the second" for those who only lived to bless themselves. Hence the words of Paul: "Judge nothing before the time." Today's churches have a hard time with this as they tell the world, "My sins are acceptable. Yours are not!" Fools from the pope on down are illiterate to what sin is, and what sin does. To sum up the Bible's moral doctrine: It all comes out in the wash. Just don't be one of the stains. I pray all is well there.

@@garymcaleer6112 I liked your comment, Gary. Yes, God not only knows who belongs to Him, but sees the future and knows who will come to trust Him. Jesus talks much about not judging others. Only God knows the intentions and motives of someone's heart. Paul goes on to say that God is the one who will give rewards, and as Jesus said in Matthew 13: "Let the tares and the wheat grow together and God will separate them out at the end." God bless!

Frank was the best impersonator of all time. I don't like to make comparisons, but RIch Little wasn't in the same league. All these years later after watching Frank as the Riddler after school in Batman the TV series I now fully appreciate his exceptional talent and ability, as well as his amiable character.

I remember Frank as The Joker on the original Batman series. I didn't realize he was so talented.
