Great video bud! I've escaped the rat race after 20 years of doing a little bit of everything in trucking. Currently do an overnight grocery delivery route. 12 hour shift, No people, No Traffic, Home everyday and only work 4 days on duty. $105k a year in Oklahoma. New folks need to realize there are oppurtunities but it takes time and goals to get there.
Great information from the heart! Never tire of hearing about a plan that works…you’ve proved that! Great to hear from you and roll safe out there, Tyler!
OTR is an amazing adventure and good $$$ but its not for everyone. Personally I love it, I save and invest my money, eat right, exercise and sleep well. Im doing fine.
looking forward to building America one 😁@ a time! sounds exciting huh! u'r a cheer-up! thanks! glad to hear the OTR-XP! lots of info covered! good luck!
Look for the job that suits you best. If you don't have the experience for that job, then plan your route for the experience needed. I started out with dollar general and suited me very well. Hard on the body so I was forced out after 5 years. Edit: I acquired an injury from the labor. Some guys do it for 20 years.
There's so many different jobs with CDL work.... There's not much excuse. I've done 2 completely different jobs with 2 completely different skill sets...
Do you have any advice for staying in physical shape while trucking? I am a very active person but also 40 years old. It seems like people’s health declines from trucking especially as they get older. Curious about your thoughts!
I’m a be honest with you over half of my family your truck drivers when my grandfather was still alive. He was a very big man and so was my uncle and that was back when when truck drivers ate Hardy meals you know three square meals a day they have meat starches every meal and protein, so that was steak and eggs with potatoes, no matter where they stopped at those were their breakfast. So when you get a chance drink water water will help you lose weight and keep you healthy. It’ll keep your kidneys functioning and it’ll help your skin. Also don’t eat a bunch of crap like old truck drivers used to if you can get a gym membership just hope that you stop in a city that will have that type of a gym there and you can go exercise orwhen you pull over. Do some walking around as much as you can. My suggestion would be just don’t need a bunch of crap.

What the best trucking company to start with it?

as an owner operator, do you have to negotiate contracts and market yourself ?
I am new CDL holder.but I worries about the rate?
Say that for people making 22 an hour
There's so many different jobs with CDL work.... There's not much excuse. I've done 2 completely different jobs with 2 completely different skill sets...

Control calories. That’s 80% of the equation.
Drink lots of water. it's about good sleep and keeping your blood pressure in check. If you're in shape now you're gonna be fine
Have you considered exercising?

Intermittent fasting, walk 30 mins every 3 hours, get a gym pass, anytime fitness has nationwide locations.
