Everything has to line up just perfectly....... Know the right people able to build out the right equipment and infrastructure..... Great example of that is Tim Gentry........ Now if you look at Just trucking he makes his money other ways He doesn't necessary rely on his truck hauling loads to make him money.
Great video brother...been in track the tracking industry for 11 years.. best decision I made in my life..just bought my second truck..I paid cash for my second truck..very happy that I did not finance my truck..it's all about how a person comes in trucking..
The only way truckers are making it in this market is with RUclips money.... Notice how many OO are posting videos. I'm an OO with paid for equipment been looking at spot rates at $1.25-$1.60 for a week now, not even worth turning the key and taking the insurance risk for that.
Many owner-operators are making money off of RUclips. But there are also plenty of owner.Operators that are leased on with carriers that don't pull freight off the spot market so they are doing fine
Hey Tyler! It is so cool to see your success from the sidelines! You are smart/disciplined and very intentional with your plan of action! Those who fail to plan end up paycheck to paycheck and then failure! Those Utah pics were incredible! Roll safe out there! Hope to see you again sometime soon!
5,000 !! I think of this channel as the school of grounded vibes and consistency. The static interference of youtube is not here and I trust that it never will be. Congratulations ⚡️
The ego gets tickled when you hear “this your truck?” And you say no. I think that’s why drivers become owner operators bc currently owning a truck is nothing but a pain in the ass
Well I left that nonsense last year, new career start and no regrets. IMO its not just a down or up market one has to deal with but also the increased over regulation (tell me Im not wrong?!....cab cameras, speed limiters in the works etc.. Ok and lets not forget the price of truck ownership! Increased computerized tech in trucks means more time at the dealer or qualified mechanic. Older trucks if you can't do most of the work yourself then find a good mechanic that is available, fair rate etc. Downtime cost$$.Increased traffic, more road ragers! If you put up a list of cons vs pros of owning your rig or just trucking in general it would be a lie to say the pros outweigh the cons. Trucking these days IMO is a great thing to do for the younger crowd wanting to try something new for a while but as a long term career? Noooooo
Nice video I’m 35 have 4 sons 9-8-16-17 I’m about to start the program to get my license en so on can’t wait to become a driver en see some of the world en make some money living in holland 🇳🇱
what's the pay like over there? I'm a rookie driver in the US working for a mega carrier, but I'm always curious to know how much they pay over in Europe since I have EU citizenship too, I know companies in Spain/Portugal do not pay much
Very good advice. And I appreciate how you always have a positive attitude. I have a few questions I was wondering about. When you were a company driver for Crete, did you get a lot of northeast runs? Because I saw another RUclipsr who said he's worked for Crete for 7 years, and he said one of the things he doesn't like about Crete is that they have a lot of northeast runs. So I was just curious about what your experience has been with that? Also, I was wondering if you have a preference as far as taking a 70 hour reset, or running on recap hours if you have them? Another Crete driver I saw on RUclips said he prefers to do 70 hour resets every week, and he said he still gets 3000+ miles a week. Thanks!
You will run all over the country if you’re all 48 OTR. However sometimes if you get sent to the northeast you can end up in that area for a while cause there’s so much freight out there for Crete. As far as doing a reset or running recaps I prefer to run recaps but if I can get a reset that doesn’t affect my productivity then I’ll do a reset for a fresh clock. Either way you can hit 3000 miles per week
The negativity comes from the Johnny come lately. While the industry surged from the free money in circulation. Now that money is spent. The real Gs know.

As a mechanic, it's because the schools don't promote diesel the same with gasoline automotive cars

The media is talking great about the false economy, and that's the reason trucking is bad and other sectors.
