Ya got a good head, kid! 😄 This reminds me of my last year or two in the Navy when some financially savvy shipmates pulled me aside and taught me similar steps to build some savings so that I'd survive on my own when I got out. It really helped. There were some guys that got discharged with not a penny in savings, no car, and only a few changes of clothes, and had to go right back home. I had a car, a motorcycle, and a couple thousand in savings(this was in 1993), and I was able to live on my own in another part of the country until I chose to move back home and go to college.
You hit so many good points. So many guys come into this industry with no plan. I came into OTR trucking 6 months ago. I’m 29 and single. I’ve been paying off my debt as quickly as possible. I’m driving flatbed and stepdeck currently and love it. Once I hit two years experience, I’m going to begin applying to tanker companies. My goal is to become a local tanker driver eventually.

Great video bro, i appreciate all the knowledge you talked about....im 32yrs old, have a family but have always worked comtract jobs jumping from job to job. I just want some thing of a career now or at least a stable job....so im looking into getting my CDL but im not financially good for going through with it. Do you think you'd be able to help in anyway. Would you truly recomend trucking as a way to start making money.

I don’t plan on retiring from trucking but I am considering driving again over the road. So does crete do company lease how much they charge per week for truck payments ?
I suggest to be more creative. I believe we've seen enough of the same type of content. Earnings, lanes, avg miles, differences between Crete o/o dispatch and Crete company driver dispatch, shop etc
