Good morning, Tyler! Looks like 2025 is going to be a great year for you! All your goals, hard work and discipline are paying off! It's great to hear from you and roll safe out there!
I respect your dreams, and not trying to put a damper on your goals. And here it is 😂 "BUT" 1 truck will make money, if you're able to drive it yourself. 2 trucks will break you. especially if you put a "friend" in the second truck. 9 times out of 10 that driver will take advantage of the friendship. Anytime you deal with a driver you are at a disadvantage. You need him more than he needs you. Don't know what type trucks you expect to buy, but start of cheap, because a majority of drivers will not respect your equipment. Good luck in your venture, and i hope everything works out for you. Stay safe out there.
@TheLivingFreedChannel Like I said "I wish you all the luck in the world" . I've been trucking since '89 , and have seen the steady decline in the quality of drivers. Only other advice I have, is buy a long hood Pete put a few lights on it and drivers will stand in line to drive it for free.
Thank you for the motivation! I’m set to graduate soon. Still trying to decide on a company to start with, I am going through a pre hire with Melton but i’m not sure if flatbed will be suited for me as a new driver. Nonetheless I plan on taking on the same route you did and save 80% of my income for the next 2-4 years.
Congrats on accomplishing your dreams brother!!! How is trucking looking out in TX? Im going to be moving in the next couple of months to a city a little east of Dallas from California. Did anything make you move out of TX other than personal matters? Going to get my tanker and hazmat endorsement in the next 2 weeks and hopefully i get to find a Fuel hauling job out there. Stay safe brother and enjoy the family time!
I’m looking to start because ı have a dream about real estate and ı see from my friends this is the fastest way to save money without spending!what do you think about that brother??? Thank you for your time man you’re best
Business Rule #1: When considering what kind of business to start, buy, or invest in; never, ever, consider a business that is highly regulated such as the trucking industry is. Private Equity, Venture Capital (M&A) and investment bankers despise the trucking industry. Add to that the low barrier to entry which exposes these business illiterates to crooked shippers, carriers and their crooked lease programs, crooked brokers, crooked factoring companies, crooked venders and government over reach on a scale that is incomprehensible makes the trucking industry a poor business choice. Why would anyone in their right mind even consider competing in the trucking business? Answer: Lack of overall business / investment knowledge.
I said you would grow and had zero doubt, great work Tyler!
