About those red shrooms, you can eat brown ones(the ones, that regen your health) to get temporary protection against hallucination(eat like 100 for decent amount of time) , then look for a ''pointy hat'' red shroom which is usually in middle of the group, pick it up to get some biotoxin and sometimes rare flowers. If you didn't know that already.
They should have really named this a titanoboa so u tame it similar to its smaller cousin but a little simpler but of course if u have rock drake eggs lol

When you trapped it in the cage it was working fine, you dont need to piss it off at all. The time is just a long one between feeding cycles so you have to wait a long time. In between that time it just attacks the barrier
4:05 lets be fair. If you are high enough level to tame one meaning you have a drake you won't be wearing hide armor anyway. You either wear flak, riot or hazmat suit at that stage. Depending on the location obviously.

I once tamed one 124 with my rock drake eggs because I cant seem to get the eggs to hatch. I didnt regret until I blasted a parasaur that was standing too close and I ended up killing myself as well as losing (couldnt find it anymore) my basilisk. It wasnt until 2 days when I found it while farming metal. It was on aggressive and it was attacking everything. I was so happy to see it still alive. 😂 Those were the good days.

Well is like a xxl titanoboa. Also the latter aggroes on the doors if trapped. Just go away of rendering and let it calm. Then it will eat the eggs one by one. You can even go inside the trap with the drake and drop the egg as the basilisk eats one. Same method of the titanoboa. But any infos about using diplo eggs? In theory that egg should be in the list. No sense having the basilisk asking for giga since the giga is not in Aberration and in a lot of servers we can't transfer items and dinos to Aberration.
According to Dododex Rock Drake eggs aren't the best for Basilisks, so if you have any better eggs, would a good way to feed a Basilisk to use the taming cage method but instead of throwing the eggs through a door. You use zip lines and a Ravager to type rope over making sure not to aggro it? Then simply drop eggs from a great height?
Vanilla you don't use a Magnifying glass to see its tame. Its used for seeing health on Rock Golems, and plants. Its useless to see the tame bar as its already visible in the creature details when you are close enough. Super spyglass or Ultimate Spyglass you can see the tame bar though, they are mods.
Have you ever considered trying your hand at ASMR? It's weird as hell but you have a perfect voice for it and I'm SURE you'd be quite a hit in the ASMR community on youtube. Each time I watch a vid from you I think "He'd be an amazing ASMRtist"
Love the vid but I did the exact same thing w/ drake on official and I noticed it’s definitely a pain with other Dino’s around also noticed the taming effectiveness goes down while it’s Aggroed on other Dino’s id say play it safe and build a trap had many headaches with higher level ones great vid tho nooblets
How about if you put a traning dummy in the middle of the cage with all the eggs around it? Maybe it will aggro the dummy and eat the eggs at the same time

I appreciate all the testing you did for this, its good to see a bunch of methods side by side, but I really kind of dislike that all youtubers showing basilisk taming are using rock drake eggs. According to the wiki there are eggs better suited for it and much easier to obtain, like diplo eggs or carno or spino. I would much rather see something reasonable like that instead of using drake eggs, which are an ordeal to get and more valuable to hatch anyway. I feel like using a trap and eggs like that it could be possible to get a basilisk much earlier than after you're ready for drakes.
Maybe stupid but would a different shape pen work better. Like a bigger taimin cage u build before to open next door when hes hunger for next egg. Or like a dog track. Prob just a waste
Put down how many eggs you need to tame that level Basilisk, then put a metal gate over the eggs. Draw a Basilisk to the gate and it will aggro on the gate and eat eggs.

Why did you tame the basilisk in the toxic area instead of at the portal they have been spawning there on official and I think I will try to tame some where do I go to get the eggs and what should I have on me I am still only two weeks into ark but I did a little bit of fibercraft before official so I just need some tips.
An i ldea i got to tame it is to get a grappling hook make sure it goes to the onother side and drop the egg right on top of it while your on top of the ravager and the grappling hook. Then you will get a baslick in no time meh just my idea

Hey nooblets, how come you didn't just drop the eggs from the drake? You can drop them from your inventory and the basilisk will still try to eat them.
These guys aren’t as hard as they seem to tame , whenever you go for rock drake eggs if you’re hatching them just take the low level ones also and put them in ur base fridge later and when you wanna tame a basilisk you will have all the low level eggs saved up and wont have to go through the annoyingness of getting them , also you can climb onto a high wall and drop the eggs from above

Hi Steve, i have a question about the basilisk, i have my ow cluster and for som reason i can not spyglass the basilisk when its buried in 🤔🤔🤔 do you have Any tips or solution for this? One thing i noticed and i phone Gportal for it that is if you set the mating interval at 0.3 or lower the gasha and basilisk wont tame they eat but stay wild, ones you set it to original its debuged againe 🤔 so maybe the level not able to c is also a corupted file cause by a setting? Like to hear your toughts on this ✌️💕
i made a building and dropped a bunch of walls on top of it to keep it from moving then it buried it self and got stuck in her hole , i was a fresh spawn so i traded a rock drake egg for her location to higher level players

Steve, you can assign light to one of the emote keys, that way you dont have to drop your shoulder pet to turn on the light.

Had you ever tried it with a direbear they have low torpidity very hard for the basilisk to knock out

I'd say aberration scorched hearth is meh. Plus most of your time is spent standing in water in scorched earth from you being to hot to walk around
