Me again lol I'll be confirming this today but as long as you are ok with using the resources the absolute easiest way to do this is putting a trap inside a building so the turtle is is trapped in the middle of the giant room you can't see any part of it sticking out that way you don't have to defend it and the fish stay inside the building part and not the trap part so fish can't eat them

You can catch the school of parakeet with a tuso until you get it close to the turtle and then you have them Target you and swim up to the turtle
Fish school: loses aggro for going a few feet away
Insect swarm: will follow you for half the swamp if not all.
Me who spears them all:I don’t have such weaknesses

My biggest issue has been getting the swarm to swim all the way up to the surface and keep it following while fighting off sharks that seem to come out of nowhere.

I wanted to let you know i have tame about 5 megachelon before i seen your video. Tamed 3 more but and sent them to luna, great at geting crysyal, stone, thach, wood, with each byte. But wanted to tell you on two tames went from 98% to 0% then 80% to 0% becouce they rubbed againt fungal wood that's underwater. Wanted to warn readers that fungal wood could mess up there tames to... and a good alternt use for the megachelon.

You can spawn in the new dinos, and you get all the new items in creation mode.
So you're essentially only paying for a new map.

Great video :). yeah the best way to get the swarm to attach is to get off your mount. Good choice of mount but i personally use the Bary as it turns fast and stuns an ae around it for those sharks. plus if you face your camera forward-ish you can actually swim backwards with it which helps.
That strange salmon spawn ive never seen lol.
The electric eels seem to only sap stam and slow you its the jellyfish that are the danger of dismounting i think.

The bubble breath can lift sharks etc to the surface and if you keep blowing the bubbles at them when they are at the surface it lifts them into the air and instantly kills them :). Also the turtle can swim backwards so you can defend yourself better by swimming backwards then biting or bubble blowing them to the surface.
Nooblets is the best guides for ark period. I've come to rely on him for no BS guides for tames unlike every other youtuber out there

Me and my tribemate just free swim to tame turtles with crossbows. We leveled our o2 to swim faster. We use basis to kite the swarm then dismount during taming. Have you basis on passive and follow. Use your crossbow for salmon and coal, and the basi for the sharks.
I hope the way we do it helps anyone struggling

You can pick the swarm with a tuso it damages the swarm a little but it can help move it a distance
Megachelons can climb up the side of the islands in the ocean biome and they’re amazing berry gatherers

A tip that most but not all people know: if a coelacanth spawns behind the fish, and the megachelom isnt stuck: dont kill the coelacanth. It *would eat some of the fish swarm if it could catch up, but it is too slow to catch up if the turtle is moving, this gives you a lot of free time where the fish swarm is safe, eventually the coelacanth will despawn and will be replaced either by another or by a sabertooth, if it is a sabertooth, kill the saber immediately.
And yes it does auro-generate rare flowers / rare mushrooms

Has anyone had issues getting the fish swarm to lock onto the turtle? I was able to get them to the turtle and they would go after it for a few seconds and stop. It happened several times until the turtle decided to climb up the nearly vertical surface of an island and get stuck up there.
Time to get the boys cause we now have a mission.

i have my own singleplayer ark going on, and my main is on lost island and on fjordur i found dthis big tourtoise, i was thinking nice, i can tame him, then i didnt play for a while today i came back and tried to tame him in 5 min i am dead and need to do this onemore time thx:)

This video wasn't only helpful, it also made me wonder which GFX settings you're on, because my game looks very grainy when yours looks very smooth and pleasant to the eyes.
the hardest part about this tame is definitely finding the microbe swarm bc they literally never spawn

Occasionally attacking amonites close to the surface could draw attention to you. But I'm too lazy to try tame a megachelon.

Awesome vid Nooblets. I tell all my ark friends to watch your channel.
I built a double pen, one side for the turtle, the other smaller side for the swarm. Makes it easier to kill the fish that spawn without accidentally hitting the turtle and some of the fish will spawn in the turtle side of the pen. Also build a ledge to sit on with a bloodstalker to pick off fish that try to eat the swarm.
I subscribe to interesting things I would like to see everyday. Random video game tips isn't what I want.

One swarm only got me 20% before it disappeared. I did kill all the salmon.
Thanks for this, took me 2 hours before the damn fish actually started taming, I had aggro all the time and swimming around the turtle, but they did not actually start taming until I got off my Basi. Thanks for the video!

Sometimes the school of fish is far away from the turtle. Try kiting the turtle to the fish. Also fish apparently loose total interest in you after a while. Don't forget to go to bottom and hit Nautilus to get the aggro effect. Its super useful.
For me it’s still glitched to where there’s just no taming bar. Kinda like how the ferox is supposed to be tamed it just wont work unless it’s a knockout which they removed for the megachelon during their earlier patches

Great thing I found your video I’ve been trying to figure out how to tame this thing. I got the swarm to follow me but it doesn’t give me the message. That glitch was pretty unreal though

You can leave render range after dieing to something near the megachelon, it will tame out of render without being interrupted by sharks n shit
