You are a super underrated youtuber! I have been watching you for several years ever since ark first came out and you made your first video, i have been subbes and have liked all watched videos ever since! Love your channel, dont know what i would do without it, and i hope you grow big nooblets! Bless you!
It is because of how slow he explains things Drive young people insane I am sure lol. Also how he always over kills as far as building traps to tame everything when you really don't need that lol
tamed a 150 perfect tame turtle yesterday. It got stuck on a rock and we were able to tame it fairly easily. I am excited to see the utility of these creatures even on a PVE server.
I was able to tame a lvl 125 Turtle on the 3x Evolution event on official PvE with just 1 school of fish. I brought it up to it while it was free swimming and it began to circle the turtle eventually the fish disappeared however and it still continued to tame. I realized I wouldn’t be able to because I kept being attacked by eels. I then got a basil and lost the turtle. So I looked for another swarm and swam too far from my blood stalker. Long story short while looking for my bloodstalker I ran into the tamed lvl 187 Megachelon and my god it was one of the happiest moments of my life. I stayed up until 5am trying to get one and that made it worth it. This may and probably was a bug that it kept taming when the school of fish was gone. It also had to have made significant progress in taming while I wasn’t around.
>nooblets: i have my base built on that turtle with fireplace in it >me: but this isnt spongebob you cant light fire underwater! >ark: its free real estate

Thank you for all the quality information over the years, and epic play through content. This looks like a massive pain, even with two people it looked bad (afk player) I think you would need a bunch of people getting swarm's for a high lvl one, and that stinks cause I play solo
Never in a million years would I believe a giant turtle would be the hardest creature to tame in ark. Never in a million years would I believe the hardest tame in ark would be a passive tame using a live school of fish.
Honestly, couldn't they just make it so that ate anything the ocean they could get close to-particularly live salmon and coe. You could still make it work that you have to defend them from preds.
nice vids im amazed by the dedication, i tryed myselkf with the microbe swarm saw the BS it was going to need to tame 1 and just gave up, so yeah "like" for you for you rdedication there :D
Turtles only need 1 fish pack then you swim next to it "gaining its trust" and just afk next to it, thats what i did and it worked. also the taming speed is the same for all levels i've found
This thing is legitimately the hardest tame they added. Even magmasaurs aren't as tedious and rng. If the swarms were a bit faster and spawned more often it wouldn't be as bad.
That's an impressive amount of effort you put into this video! Do the fish/microbe swarms despawn or move around if they de-aggro on you? If they don't, then it might be possible to lure several swarms within render range of your enclosure, then move the turtle in, then pull the swarms in 1 by 1. Not saying it would be easier, but it may be a way to tame these guys solo.
You know, youre right. I have watched you for years and I haven't subbed cause I know I have your videos in my feed. But you do deserve it. Love you brother. wish you the best
Thanks for taking time to show us how to tame this massive creature. Not sure if you’re going with official rates or not but I’d hate to see what kind of effort it would take for a tribe of 2 to get this done without rates turned up. I’m thinking to more people bringing fish schools the faster this would go. I’d also be interested in learning if you could place turrets on it and if this creature is able to go into a cryopod. Thanks again!
Hey Steve! Videos at best quality like allways! Could you please do a video on fishing net and its mechanics and what's better it or fishing rod, what circumstancesare better for which etc? Thank you so much!
i tamed a 145 with microbe swarm, the turtle climbed on a small area of land and i put 2 gates behind it, its butt stayed in the water so it kept taming and i killed sharks with basilisk- it also took me 1 swarm to tame it and theres salmon that spawn in to try and kill the swarm
Yeah this is going to suck for me as well. I was going to try to tame it by using a Baryonyx to maintain crowd control and wipe the hostile creatures near the turtle. But now I am worried about not being able to find enough fish in time.
@@skezeksskybreaker5425 Baryonyx is still a great idea but yeah the fish are definitelly a huge problem. Especially if you want to go for a high level one.
Between me and my friends we have made your intro into a kinda meme lol, but all jokes aside I don't know if I would even play ark since it release if you weren't making how to videos. Hope you get 1 mill subs this year nooblets much love from Norway
Glad to see you and Seeshell Gaming are enjoying the map. If I may suggest a topic, i have been wondering the Raft destroyed, target ocean platforms, and if they wreck them.
Thank you nooblets for you easy to follow and informational ark videos. My friends and i always go to you when we're exploring new things and its always a great experience!
Great video! Tho I have to say this is about the most tedious and annoying taming process in Ark. Wildcard has effectively made this impossible for solo players, GG wildcard.
@nooblets the fish swarm does not ware off after time coal and saber-tooth salmon eat the fish when taming so you have to kill them thay also spawn even if you place foundations its like a little taming mini-game thay make us do now i find it easyer to trap it and get the fish to it then let it out of the trap and kill the fish that spawn to chase
You swim in that biome really fast without flippers. Almost as if the game just gives you them if you get me. You also breathe 10x longer so you technically don't need scuba. At very least, you can save on he dura by only using the tank when you need to refill your oxygen. I love the trap though.
On official you don't even need a trap to tame one. You also only need one school of fish to tame a max level. You can even kite the fish to it and leave it out of render and you will most likely tame it while you afk
I solo tamed a 135 on official with no trap and a basil it also helps to have a tamed giant turtle u can kinda push the one u want to tame around to trap it into terrain although it is a pain in the ass
The last trap worked well-ish. The Microbe swarm however did not. Take 1: brought a group over they instead went to a Carbonemys and would not leave it. Take 2: They glitched into the behemoth door and eventually disappeared. (This one was weird, i brought the Swarm right to the Megachelon but taming did not start the trap was located on the underwater terrarium same corner as video) I instead moved the trap on the northern side of it on the shallow bank where i could set up the gates to be barely above water. Unfortunately it wasn't high enough as the Megachelon walked on the gates themselves. Take 3: Moved the trap a tad higher onto land. Megachelon was locked in with ease. Brought microbe swarm after killing everything around the trap. Taming started. Be careful. Eurypterids spawn here sometimes. Make sure to clear first, or at the very least don't touch the ground. Notes: if you are on unofficial, you might see some odd leveled sabertooth salmon. We have max level at 300 and i had to fight off a lvl 200 one which would not die from a harpoon shot. Sometimes it took 3 or so hits, other times it was one hit and they would disappear. Don't build on your Turtle and pokeball it. All building items will break. Thanks for the tips
Can you draw several schools of fish close to the cage area first, then trap a Megachelon, and finish leading the fish into the trap afterward, as you need them?
What if you gathered the fish first in different individual compartments, then kitted the turtle and you wouldn't have to worry about losing taming bar, the fish would be right there when you need them
How does ark compare now vs back when scorched earth released? Used to play a ton then and completely fell off when ragnarok released. Want to get back into the game but I'm kinda worried it'll be significantly different.
Best method is to just bring the swarm to the turtle then leave render distance and go about your business. Monitor your tribe log and eventually it should pop up you tamed it. Bringing fish swarms to multiple turtles is the best idea. Caging it doesnt work/ way too much effort as you have to ensure its large enough for it to move around. Got a couple this way. Main reason its fine to do this is unless the swarm dies then it will just keep taming the turtle even if it gets hits, itll reset and carry on. Not the best idea perhaps on a pvp server as people could grief it, but ive gotten a couple already this way and its way less time spent guarding it and what not.
I accidentally got a level 60 turtle this way; brought up a swarm, got frustrated after some eels attacked my dolphin, and gave up. Traveled that way again the next day, boom - tamed turtle just hanging around and waiting for me lol Man, the sharks love the turtles tho- makes them less useful as a traveling home
Coel eat the microbe swarm nooblets sabertooth eat them even faster if the microbe swarms get hit by fish eventually they attack back if they hit the turtle fighting the fish the bar goes to 0 and the fish kill the turtle
