An underwater portion could be pretty cool. You can store water tames safely in underwater rooms. Wouldn't be hard to navigate with how slowly your oxygen drains :D
If you wanna use foundations on ocean platform you have to place ceiling first and then replace it. IDK if yo figured it out or not havent gotten that far in video but if you wanted to. And for anyone else trying but cant place them
I did that by building one of the tiny, low islands entirely into a base with cliff platforms then glass ceilings extending all around. It's pretty looking so far down.

I wish they would make those guys a shoulder mount so they weren't always in use, then add the option to swap between shoulder mode and gliding mode with the press of a button

I used to think like you but I always had that ill-gotten gain feeling. If you have PC the S+ Crafting Station is amazing. Dump all of your resources in it and craft even lower tier structures in them such as thatch, wood, and stone structures. Much less of a pain than building everything in my player inventory. Using a Dodec, Chainsaw, and Megalecaros or Theri you gets you everything you need in no time. Chainsaws are very overlooked by some players because they just tame up a wood gatherer Dino good on maps were the trees are more spaced out.

I discovered another amazing terrarium last night, approximately 25 56 below a rock shelf. Plants, Wood/Thatch, Stone, and Gems. Features an internal deep pond, waterfall, luminescent trees, multiple tiers with natural ramps, and small nooks. Definitely worth a look. Easier to explore with a blood stalker.
I'm really liking the way this DLC looks so far, I haven't played ark in months and this has been giving me the urge to play it again. I'm getting my first proper gaming PC in just a few days, so when I get that I'm gonna buy genesis and start up a new world
you can always add 1-2 walls up whenever you go into third person and sometimes is even better to go into third person to add like ceilings, i barely have any issue with them placing incorrectly

At 1:00 you were walking by those little pink trees looking for wood. Remember that those ones also give you wood, so you dont necessarily need the big trees for wood ;)
For the building problem with no flyers, maybe get a paracer with a platform saddle in a cryopod, to throw out when you need to go higher... I know its still not the same but it atleast give you some extra height to move around with.
new to the channel and loving this series. Also it bothered me for some reason but when you built the wooden platform for the sea, it wasn't rocks. its the turtle shells! and then its stuck together with your cementing paste :) its a neat effect the devs made.
The accessible islands you're looking for are in the south east of the ocean. Theres one island with a few metal nodes, salt, bushes and trees that is a pretty good base location, and then theres another, smaller one just north of that with a glitch and 2 missions right next to eachother.
In the middle you should put stone around so it cant be damaged then at the bottom put a stone hatchframe and reinforced trapdoor, the big trapdoor not the small one, that way you can keep your tamed dinos down in the water and safe
I love watching your videos. They are so much fun and I'm learning a lot for when I get my Xbox and start playing Ark on it. At the moment I'm playing mobile and it's not even close to how fun Ark is. Keep up the awesome content Syntac:)
I always used ceilings for just a small bit of an area boost. You can usually get one to two rows further out. If you piece it together properly you can get more. I'm sure that's common knowledge but throwing it out there anyway.
Keep it up... i will add that i think youre one of the chillest people that is currently playing genisis. And provided by the daily content its really great! And the quality is an actual gem!
Tip: Get as many blood bags as possible in your spare time. Server settings that increase taming rates for some reason arent working on Bloodstalkers, therefor they have official tamerates, which is 2000 blood packs (average) for a 150.
I think you should have the center spot of the ocean platform as a small aquatic creature pen and to be safe add some walls going down with a trapdoor at the bottom

glad that im not the only one that cant complete the beta version of the ray race, spent over an hour and there just isnt enough time to complete it no matter how good of a run i do , hoping they fix it in the future and give more time
put a proper greenhouse ontop and then some crops on the corners with benches etc OR put a greenhouse ontop and keep the corners for like workbenches and the industrial stuff as that always is super big and if you put it inside you might not have enough room to move around
I personaly live in the Ocean Biome and i like it the most of all Biomes. u can get everything you need over there. the starting was ok as well i just camped on top of 1 mountain and gathered stuff. after a lil while i started building ladders and sht so i can get my first plattform down. Only big thread are eels for me :D
I think the blood stalker would help with your building and transporting items if it has good weight. the blood stalker is pretty much a free long range grapple.
ocean is by far the safest zone, and with the HLNA teleporter, farming isnt too bad, i got a nice base set up in ocean, using two platforms (so far) one as water tames area and one as main base
also its easier to just retract the ladders and place a ramp/stairs to get in and out of the water, trying to find the grab spot on ladders can be a pain when being attacked by sharks :)
I got a metal platform from the loot crate, but I built on the wood one and it's more than enough space for everything, I absolutely love it (glass bottom and glass ceiling, just the center 4x4 square).
If you're going to make a base on each.. I'm in the NW corner of volcano.. like right in the corner by the lava pool but south enough to let the metal respawn (on the second hill). Every time I teleport there it pretty much puts me on the base, and usually only stegos and dodos spawn there. I came back once with a carno corpse in the base.. but generally it's pretty awesome spot.
Also, I love watching these episodes while I work (grading). And they have been pretty fun to watch and comment on.. So I've been tossing likes on each one, cheers! @Syntac
The races on the PS4 are framy.. but if you turn off motion blur you don't get that crazy zoom effect on nitros. I was able to finish the Alpha. It also helps if you miss a ring to stop dashing and it will almost instantly stop you, and you can get that missed ring quickly.
TheRAMBO9191 Just place a bed and spam the blood syringe, some are really glitchy though. I tamed a lvl 40 which only ate like 60 but lvl 70 are 600, so, yeah really buggy
im really enjoying your videos and playing this game. Im using a little bit of your videos as guideline so i know where to go or where isnt that harsh. I started in the bog, it was easy. Now im finishing a huge base in the artic, and after that im probably going to build a a base in the ocean as well.. Keep it up !

The “stone” is the shell fragments, you know the pieces of the turtles shell

Just wanted to point out that thirdperson makes you place buildings higher. Might be useful since you can't fly. Awesome new base, loving the content!
For cemeting paste you should get enough hexagons and open a lootbox you can also get more cryo pods for your animals

To turn it off go to Helena and settings at the bottom click it then at the top it shows that you can turn it off :)

Hey syntac, you can get rid of the purple boxes by going to the wheel of HLNA and selecting the option to turn on or off the mission boxes.
in regard to the "Modoer" the Devs have said that it is just a play on the word Murder, because that was its code name when being developed

They're a few Islands that have trees at the waters edge and some have slopes you can go up and cut trees. Need a water tame or boat

i think the big chuunks in the platform are shell bits from the giant turtle
for the manta ray mission, you have to constantly jump whenever you can
If you think that race is hard try the one in the volcano biome in alpha took me like 30 tries to get all three of them done

How did you build the ramps outside of the raft?! I tried that SOOO many times. I reluctantly built ramps on the inside.
I ended up living in the bog so I tamed a bloodstalker which got me a Magmasaur egg. Blood stalkers are really useful as they are the only real flyer.
I said screw it. I'm cheating and force taming.

Pretty sure that material on the inner side of the platform is a combination of the shell fragments from a Megachelon.
