Ok! then for example if your survivor name XYZ then you have to put the name XYZric or XYZ ric (your griffin name Daelaric, so ric is the griffin surname, last 2 or 3 letter is the griffin surname)! And for this you have to either buy the name change ticket (with 100x ancient amber) from the game store or restart your game and put any one of the griffin surname with your survivor name. And at level 40, only those griffin will respect you whose surname you have choose, not all!

Some things i recommend. Use stone gates and gateways! I found out myself that griffins cannot destroy stone. Also, if your using an argy to lure on into the trap, open the one your gonna lead the griffin through, keep the other closed. Jump off your argy and squeeze through the gaps of the gateways to close the other one. Sadly, you probably will have to let the griffin kill it unless your argy has a lot of health and you can knock out the griffin before your argy dies. Bring two longnecks (incase one breaks) and around 100-200 tranq darts. If you can, use 15x soothing balm!
It's crazy how you did all this. But all I did to tame one was wait till it was distracted trying to kill something and i started shooting Narco arrows in him till he went unconscious. He didn't try to charge me because he thought it was the other dinosaur doing damage to him. It worked well for me. But that's just me
Important Note: Taming a Griffin with only prime meat even with soothing balm will absolutely destroy its taming effectiveness so its crucial you tame 2 Griffins (Breeding Pair with same surname) make them breed and make kibbles out of their egg to tame a perfectly tamed griffin for a much better one! again its not like your gonna have a griffin already to make a griffin kiblle so Allosaurus kibble is the next best thing Hope it Helps

If you got two same group female then it's even better, that means you going to get two eggs. Then mate them and make a griffin egg kimble with the egg..using 15x soothing balm even a max lvl griffin get tamed just for one kimble. But keep some prime meat ready cuz sometimes it doesn't tame for just one kimble. And off course tek kimble processor is the best way to get griffin egg kimble. But follow the process if you don't have it and want a properly tamed griffin.

NEW TIPS/TRICK TO GET RESPECT FOR GRIFFIN IN 2023 BY ME. ->This trick/tips is better than the 3rd method in general, such as waiting for a level to get a big level or changing the name, step 1 you have to look for a griffin with a high level, step 2 kill it and take the implant, finally just walk straight to the obelisk and revive the griffin but this is the method the trick is the same as changing your name, just spend much amber 224 and boom you get the griffin's respect by getting a level you kill them, I got this trick when I accidentally passed the griffin mountain and met level 290 which is my player level was 50 and thought about changing it to EERIE , and I was very boring changing it to EERIE too many hours I spent, and when I felt very bored, I tried to revive it and was killed in a brutal way, but suddenly" was shocked when it said "respect you "at level 50....
