Very simple and effective teaching technique. Obviously, you are committed to informing, but not impressing - my kind of teacher. Please stay the course - this is very impressive! THANK YOU!!!
I would like to echo the comments below, as a retired teacher and administrator I am very impressed with his presentation/ lesson technique. His constant review of the key points during the lesson really helped clarify the topic.
Live long sir for making my dream come to realization again.Am a zambian who loves music so much, kind also upload a video on how to use the right notes from a scale in different chord progressions.
Cool. Great teaching skills giving explanations really helps a student. Don’t mind me . I’ve been playing guitar since 1974. But it seems like I’m always looking for something new to play. Sometimes a refresher course is a good thing to do. After All The years I have been playing this instrument has brought me more pleasure in my life than anything else I’ve ever done. Finding good teachers on RUclips is not easy. But there are two that I have found I think you’re going to be the third one anyway thanks for your video I’m going to look at your other videos and probably subscribe to your channel. Thanks for the videos I appreciate them have a great day.👍👍🎸🎼🎶👍❤️
I am a beginner, and I find the printed portion (inset left to right) and the actual position of the frets (right to left) being in reverse confusing. Am I missing something?
No bad, good teacher here. Some got it, some don't. You're reare for me. One of my teachers shows the same thing a few time's and different ways. Mandi from New York. Pretty white doll like face. Sings well but she teaches too.
Hey Taylor, This lesson concentrates on the scale from the "G" string. Can you do a short one from the "D" and "A". The "G" one compensates for that darn "B" string! Tuned in a 3rd vs a 4th. I enjoy your lesson's!
Great question! As a general rule we always put the root note in the bass (AKA the lowest note) of the chord. So with a C major chord typically we want the root note, C, to be the lowest note in the chord. If you had a G chord, you'd want G to be the lowest note in the chord etc. That's why we don't strum that low E-string with the C chord, otherwise we would have an E as the lowest note, not a C. However, you just touched on the idea of chord inversions, where you can take the same 3 notes of a chord (C, E, and G for example) and arrange them in different orders, having different notes in the bass. If you played the notes E G C, (with E in the bass) you'd still be playing a C chord but it would be what we call a 1st inversion of the chord. If you played G E C, (with G in the bass) you'd still be playing a C chord but that would be what we call a 2nd inversion. So keep the root note in the bass for a "normal" arrangement of the chord, and change the bass note for an inversion of the chord : ).
thank you very much. I have been looking for a lesson like this for a long time awesome

Very useful explanation.. Now we can find out any chord in any place on the fret.
Very Helpful Thanks
Really very helpful. Finally I understand how chords are made. Only took 5 years! But I got it now. Question. Why do we start on g string?
It took me years to realise that all of the notes in the CAGED chords are actually arpeggios . How did I not know this from day one? 🎸
Fantastic thanks...!

Love this
A question i have is if you move the chord, thrn wound you only play as many strings as were between the top and bottom note? If that makes sense
How do you do short f#
Just WOW.
Thanks for watching hope it helps!
It's nice.but difficult to understand for beginners
Good

Why is the low E not played in the C chord? The high E is!

Low E can be played...it's called a chord inversion E-C-G vs C-G-E both are C major Chords. E/C
Instead of giving letters for the cords it could be clearer if you taught everything in solfege....i.e solfa notations e.g __ d r m f s l t d'
