I'll never forget playing this and then waking up to my dad at 5am before he was supposed to wake us up playing this on 00 agent mode trying to beat the game. Unfortunately we never did beat the game on 00 agent and got stuck on cradle or the level after that which I can't remember except it was a pyramid with oddjob, and jaws. He even bought us the book and everything and we tried forever. I miss you dad and I'll never forget the life you gave us.
I remember something similar with my dad. My brother and I were playing and made it to the streets level, but couldn't beat it. We went to bed, and when we woke up the next morning streets AND depot was beaten. Our dad apparently beat those levels while we were asleep. He also showed us how to drive the tank.

It's been over 20 years since I played Goldeneye 64, and I can still remember every level like the back of my hand. Man, this was such a top tier game and the nostalgia is real! If only we could get a full remake for next gen, maybe bundled with Nightfire I'd pay full price all day of the week

There are no trophies, scholarships or grants for this. He took it upon himself to ignore everything that made this game great. If you're impressed, then good for you both. This is the first game i remember playing where it mattered if you made noise. You could sneak through the levels with a silencer and clear them out easily. That was so much fun.

Guy got the facility invincibility cheat in 30 seconds... Wtf. I only accomplished this once back in the day.. holy shit that was impressive and of course lucky Dr. Doak was placed where he was.
Imagine being a henchman and Bond just runs past you and you think he’s running from you, but he’s really just trying to finish the mission as fast as possible.
Getting all the cheats back as a teen in the 90s was brutal, yet got done with much luck and skill. Speedrunners though have my utmost respect battering every level in record time. Good memories and nostalgia going for the cheats.

That was insane! I can't understand how you just ran past all the characters and didn't die - Goldeneye was a huge part of my teenage years and I used to find it so difficult! So to see you just run through everything was mindblowing - wow! Your skill level is so high - like that laser part at 22:50 on the train - that took me dozens of attempts. And that part at 28:00 when you have to protect Natalya was amazing - I found that impossible.
Oh man, playing this as kid vs now seeing someone run this game this damn fast. And knowing that this game has liscence to kill speedrunners ;) Its even more amazing to get suhc good time. Mad respect.

I've played this game for many years and have played 00 agent multiple times, and I'm pretty sure some of the body armour picked up in this run is not present on 00 agent. Is there a reason for this?
What's with the constant pausing @ 33:41 and why did that make the soldiers open the glass part that's not supposed to be opened until later (if I remember that correctly)?
every time you pause, it speeds up the pause animation for later pauses. if you notice after he lured the guards, he pauses to select the guidance data, and the watch animation plays alot quicker. runners will do quickpausing whenever they have time to kill, if they need to pause later in the level. the door can be opened by luring guards to the door to help you skip killing jaws. thats why he closes the door on those guards and then hides around the corner. the guards will run towards the door as it was his last known position. its kinda tricky to do, doesnt work every time.
7 months old but speedrun says ace still has a slightly longer time and your credited run is like 40 minutes? Am I missing something here or did you forget to let the speedrun community know you did this?
This was excellent and impressive, however, can someone explain to me how, in the Aztec level, he managed to complete the level without killing Jaws and going up the ladder and pressing the button to launch the rocket, is there some sort of cheat that he’s doing or did I just missed something? Please someone get back to me, because I’m really confused about this. Thanks.
You only need to fight Jaws to be able to get into the missile guidance room. There's a tech that gets the enemy NPC to open that room early, essentially bypassing having to kill jaws and the need to open the blast doors again :)

So the runners will get the attention of 2 NPCs on the other side of the mainframe door, then break line of sight while standing next to the glass door. The line of sight mechanics make the NPCs go to Bonds last known position. Due to how the game works, both NPCs can't occupy the same space at the same time, so the first one will just stand by the glass door and the second one will run around the first one. If the second NPC bumps into the glass door, it opens up for him. I'm pretty sure there's more specifics to it, but that's my basic understanding of it. Hope this helps!

The irony is that multiplayer feature was an afterthought that was tacked on by a single developer less than a month before the game went into production. It's crazy to think that Goldeneye's most memorable feature wasn't even in the original plan for the game

It’s not an objective. You only kill jaws for the keycard and he lured the guard to open the glass door for him.

Are you certain this is 00 agent? The body armor tells me secret agent.
Japanese version tells me that it’s 00 Agent. Armor is available on all difficulties.
