Looking for my books on Amazon? Here they are!

My mom had a book filled with Christmas stories from her childhood. One of the stories was called the Penny Walk. It was about 2 girls that went on a walk and at every intersection they would flip a coin to tell them what direction they would go. Heads-right; Tails-left. The girls had a fabulous adventure. I did this once with my kids when they were little. No reason I couldn’t do this as an adult!
Oh, haha! I'd get SO lost!

It’s a fantastic story.
Sometimes, although I’d like to adventure, I don’t know how or don’t have enough braveness.
But coin can help me.
🎉
Great idea 😂
In the beginning of this video, I thought it was going to be about saving money, to go to different places around the world, to make life more exciting. Never gave it much thought, to step out side of your back door and just see things in anew light. My husband and I have a beautiful back yard. I have never really sat down and looked at nature closely! And it’s free!! I’m going to start making list of things to do and go see! Thank you!🥰
I have been feeling very down lately and extremely bored so this hit the nail on the head!! It’s super important to see new sites
Good for you!!!!! ❤
The timing couldn’t have been more needed. Became an empty nester yesterday and feeling so paralyzed! Heeding this advice starting today!
Empty nesting was so much harder than I thought it would be! Five years later and I am still trying to navigate my new life.
It’s especially hard when you’re alone. The house is waaaay too quiet!
This is a great idea. I definitely need a list because I’m always saying “I should do that” but when it comes time to do something, I can’t come up with anything that I want to do. Thanks Mel!
Loved this episode. Being in Oz, and loving to travel each year to northern Australia, this year I couldn’t go. It’s a cold winter and kinda challenging to get motivated. I realised after hearing this just how many places in my own backyard I’ve dismissed as boring. Today I’m heading out, first to tourist info, then taking myself somewhere. With the camera with an unjudgemental curiosity. And going there on every road I’ve rarely driven to get there. Thanks Mel.
I do house sitting as a side hustle and love exploring new neighbourhoods. Cafes, markets, parkland, exercise classes are always on my to-do list.
Love from Australia. 🇦🇺
I used to do that in college, i LOVE stationary and art supplies so i would research every art supply store near and far, small or big, and make time in my schedule for it, even when i had to commute in public on my way home i would drop by the near stores. And now that i have money and my own car 😂 i find joy in exploring bakeries and cafe shop all by myself ❤❤ i seriously need to go back to this habit especially with all the pressure from work and masters studies.
I love this! This was me in my teens.I went every where and explored on my own. But after being married 32 years with three grandkids and two adult sons. My routine is so stagnant lol. Thank you for the reminder and the inspiration❤
Love this guidance. On a previous episode, you spoke of finding the right coffee shop for yourself in your area. I'd been down on my town, Schenectady, lately, thinking about moving. I took your advice and went to Arthur's Market in the historic district, and wow, felt like I'd stepped into Greenwich Village. From there I explored more. Took in a show that was passing through one night, and we were amazed to see th restaurants hopping and all the buzz around Proctor's Theater, downtown was pulsating. Yeah, before I condemn this place, I need to get out more. I'm always rewarded by adventures.
That sounds like fun!
Nothing like waking up to a new video from my favorite superstar! These videos are so educational and informative and are just what I need to keep me going through all the tough times. Thank you, Mel!💙
OMG EVERYTIME I COME TO RUclips! POOF! its something I need!!!!! Every one of your videos! love you!
This is exactly how I came up with my 50x50 bucket list! Things I haven’t seen or done. Some local, some a distance.
I started teaching myself songs in Spanish in order to learn this new language. Then I started showing up for Spanish karaoke and it was one of the most fun things I've ever done in my life.
Love this!!!❤
1. Go to a new store
2. Go down a street you've never been down before
3. Go to a public place like a museum, gallery, or library you've never been to
4. Try a new type of food or cook something new
5. Join a sports league or volunteer
When you've finished exploring your town, start over and explore the surrounding towns. Have fun!
Thank you!!
I went to an intro to paddle boarding class offered by the city last weekend. It was so amazing & fun!! I signed up to go again next Sat. Thanks Mel ❤
This is good time. I have a quiet couple of months coming up over the summer. Which is an opportunity to do a lot of things I have been meaning to do for a long time i.e. sort my garden out, paint the bathroom. I was making my list of tasks when I thought perhaps I should do some fun things as well. Almost as the thought left my mind this video popped up. I have 11 things on the 'Fun List' already and am going to add to it. Wishing everyone a good fun summer.
Love this Mel! I moved to a new city in December. I made it my goal to do something new every day even if it's just trying a new coffee or going to a new park. I keep a list in the back of my planner and everyday I write the new thing I did that day. 6 months in and it's turning out to be one of the best years of my life! I've met a lot of new peope who have lived here for years and haven't explored this much yet! Highly recommend trying this to anyone stuck in the boredom rut.
I related to every word of this. I have lived in the same town for 34 years and I am in such a rut! Mel is right, there are things I have never done, places I have driven right past. Thank you for inspiring me to get out of my rut!
Love this episode, Mel. It is just about the small things for joy and happiness. So true! Thank you!
Thank You so much for what you do!! You walk with me early every morning
Mel your advice is so spot on. Moved to a new town recently and every day is a new adventure. Use google map to find the necessities but once there start to explore the neighboring stores or streets. Moved to an over 50 community and have to make an effort to put myself out there, past my comfort zone. Am finding new adventures and new friends. Keep up the great advice.❤
I love this, I started looking into my town and finding places I never knew existed 3 years ago and it has been amazing. I haven't had time to venture out lately but listening to this video makes me want to put things on the calendar and go exploring again. Thank you for the reminder.
Here in Dallas, there is a historic Swiss Ave home tour on Mothers Day weekend. I finally went and it is amazing to have the chance to tour these historic mansions! Each year its a different list of homes.
I’m doing this starting today!!!! Thanks Mel!!
Thank you Mel for bringing up this topic. It seems it was meant for me to hear. Every day it's the same thing, this advice is very helpful 🥰
I love this! This is accessible to everyone and a topic that I’ve never seen approached. Thank you for doing this show!
Can’t travel but can watch awesome travel logs😅😅😅❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Great advice, and I am going to follow it!
The sourdough bread story = GREAT memories with your son, he will be telling that hilarious fail story MUCH longer than had it been a "success" ❤❤
Just listened to the podcast and I was blown away. I was blown away because changing things up seems so simple.
But Lord help me to change it up because I can get stuck in a rut bad. But there are some good ideas presented. Thank you much for sharing this.
Practice what you preach. I was obsessed with going to Europe and never made it!
I really needed this today. Thank you so much for all you do Mel! 🥰😘
I've re-read parts of my daily journals for the past four years lately. It's almost as if I am living the same year over and over. You have helped me realize that I want desperately to change it up! Thanks, Mel.
This is awesome!! I finally visited a store from my screenshots and discovered its in the middle of so many new places i cant wait to go back!!
Mel you're a genious - this idea is so simple but so exciting at the same time! I'll do that 100%!
Lithuania🇱🇹 Panevėžys town (rather small, but industrial, so I thought there's nothing fun here)
Loved this and you and waiting on the edge of my seat for the next
Mel thank u for the inspiration. I'm going to share these ideas and you of course in my wisdom Wednesday group! Love ya!!!
Such a great point!!!!
Mel is amazing and is helping me so much. Keep doing what you are doing so well! 😊
Love this! Thanks for sharing stories, motivation, and simple ideas to shake things up from the mundane in life! xo
Some of the ideas are really great. However repetition is not a failure. ask the waves, ask the leaves and ask the wind. Being grateful for the small things is crucial especially when dealing with anxiety. Always looking for something and thinking life is not as good makes you miss small things passing us by as well. A bit of both I think Just a thought
Thank you so much for this. I don't know how to have fun.
Thank you so many ppl should enjoy the areas they are in more.
I really appreciate this session it was wonderful I really appreciate your work keep going ❤🎉
The timing on this was absolutely perfect! I actually made my list about a month ago. Now it's time to start checking things off that list😂
awesome! allof these are words of truth and wisdom ❤ thank you
The greatest ideas are the simplest! Thank you , Mel, for remembering that ❤ when I was a schoolgirl we were looking for adventures with my sister… and yes we have a lot to remember and laugh about)
This video was really necessary for me ❤
Nadia, 32, Yakutia.

Thank you so much Mel!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😎😎😎😎🤣
About new restaurants, sometimes you are afraid of spending good money on something that's not good!! What is familiar and you know that you like it, is more attractive than the unknown!
Nice!!!! On it! ❤❤❤
I love Vermont. Go every year. Live in N J. Been to Southern VT many times. Yes there's lots to do just gotta look for it. Will be back in October.
Mel Robins❤
I love this episode
Now I felt why most of us are so bored personalities cause of no any idea things to do just same daily routine. I also felt that so I started to do new things, new experiences, new adventures ❤😍💯.
I have to think of places, however, I am pretty inquisitive so usually exploring everything. Looking at things, listening to all sounds. Taking the history and nature in. Hmmm. There still must be something to discover.
Have you taken Oakley to a cooking/ baking class at king Arthur? We loved it!
I love this ❤idea so much
Yes, I can relate to what you saying

Yes ma'am I do go out to beach some times and go to market or church on Sunday morning
Gosh this speaks to me.
We live in the middle of the SoCal desert! Still, there must be things we haven’t experienced 😎
I usually planned to go somewhere which I wanted to go in my mind when I needed to go somewhere for the job.
Mel, i would like to see you do a very important video to new parents ask them to to learn CPR and Heamlick Manover in case of emergency situation chocking hazard. A crisis can happen to anyone, and ask them to re-educate themselves accordingly y to the child's age as it grows as this changes and is age appropriate. Watch the professionals on you tube to do this and send them a link to watch on your vlog. This is to important to ignore this is a matter between life and death. Also ask parents when they are home to take their baby up and down the stairs using a harness this is a health and safety matter.Esculators are hazards and a harness will protect you and your baby if you cant use a lift. Also it will help carry your baby around instead of preventing hip pain which is common in new mother carrying baby around your hips all the time. Help spread awareness of this issue at then end of this video ask youtubers to spread awareness of this issue and ask them to do the same if they see your video. Lets make this issue a universal understanding.
This made me think of this..I went to a big pool party and people of all ages were in the pool and I was floating on my back and kids said "How did you do that?" and I started showing them then EVERYBODY was trying and NOBODY could do it and I was shocked because I thought this was a simple skill everyone knew how to do! Then I gave a big lecture on how important it is to learn how to do it because if you're ever stuck in water for hours or days, you can't swim the whole time and there's no side to hold onto. We had a tornado scare a few weks ago and my mind went blank. I couldn't remember what I was supposed to do. It's nice to be updated on safety stuff.
So timely i was just telling someone how i was busy bored. I have lots of things that need to be done and i am just bored with them
Do you have Apple podcast?
Energetic speech...
Damn. Mel is standing on BUSINESS with this thumbnail😂
MEL I would love for you to do a retreat/cruise! ;))))) You are THE ONLY person I would spend 5k 10k and when I get rich 20k to see ;)))) (sorry Tony Robbins! lol) MEL ROBBINS! rules!
Are you 50 years old
I can't believe it - Mell Robins❤
Ok❣️
Travel is exhausting that’s why travel is called Travail…
I’m the type of person who loves to experience life but I have to work two jobs and it sucks the life out of me !
I would like more information on the service that your husband does to help cancer patients. i would love to start something like that in my area.
Former hospice nurse here. You can call any hospice company in your area and ask if they have a volunteer program. We often needed someone to come and just sit with the patient while their family members took a break or go to the store or take a nap.
