Access denied doesn't allow to check disk, it again say access denied.
[update] in my case it was permissions. For some reason Windows every now and then removes ALL permissions for my external HD. The solution is to right click the disk, then from properties go security, then add the current user of the Windows, then the permissions to read and write.

What if the drive is a RAW file system(it should be NTFS) and I'm not able to even format it

Solution 5 deleted whatever was in my hard drive 🤦🏽‍♂️ now I can open it but is empty 🤦🏽‍♂️
