If you really want to understand Secret Wars, you have to start with Hickman's Shield and Secret Warriors, then you segway into his FF, then you read Avengers and New Avengers which is two separate books taking place at the same time. You also gotta read everything he did in Ultimate Thor and Ultimates. That's the only way you'll get the full picture. It really is next next level story telling. It's unmatched.

This is more related to your last video but in that you said Miles should transfer from animated to live action after Beyond The Spiderverse, however that doesn't work with the rules established in the Spiderverse movie. Everytime a character enters a different universe they keep their original form or art style so that means Miles would have to stay animated in live action. The only exception to this is the post credits scene of Into The Spiderverse, but Across sort of retcons that scene so it just seems more like a fun meme scene than actual Canon. Would love to hear your thoughts on this Paul and anyone else who reads this

The only thing we know that causes incursions (in the MCU) for sure is dreamwalking. It's not explained very well in Multiverse of Madness which has a lot of people believing that Multiverse travel alone causes them. My guess is that with dreamwalking, you are essentially in 2 universes at the same time which is what causes the boundaries to erode. Every incursion that we know about so far were caused by dreamwalking. There have been multiple cases of multiversal travel that hasn't caused incursions.
Except no, nothing in spiderverse’s universal collapsed are linked to canon and incursions. They are only shown by dark matter destroying the universe. Neither example was causation on Spider-Man’s part. Just correlation at best
I quite enjoy the idea of everyone running around chasing red herrings making decisions and deductions based on what’s in front of them. Universe 42 didn’t end with no canon events coming to pass Universe 1610 didn’t end with peter’s death Mumbatin was falling apart prior to Miles’s intervention. So dark matter caused the collapse of both mumbatin and 2099. Secondly, this is about comics. Dr doom is the only person who cares for earth and humanity. He wants to rule a thriving earth not ashes. And the existing downward spiral will destroy earth
Yes! Glad I'm not the only one who realized there is some inconsistency in how incursions work (even within Across the Spiderverse). It's been a year since 1610 Peter’s death and that Universe and 42 are still there. My initial thought was maybe it is just dream-walking/dark magic that causes incursions but that doesn’t work with the fact that Miguel living in another universe destroyed it. Another possibility is that Miguel is hiding something about what happened to that universe.
I personally think battleworld already exists in the MCU or at least the final battle, in Kang's stadium. Idk if they'll use it until JM (hopefully, PLEASE GOD DON'T LET HIM BE GUILTY 😭 AND didn't do it!😅) gets through trial.
I want the trilogy to dovetail the end with the Ultimate universe Miles getting bitten. Mark the end with someone’s beginning and then followed-up with his first appearance topping the stack of Spider-man comics.

I think Miguel is sort of like Rick from Rick and Morty limiting them to a certain part of the multiverse aka the Spiderverse where their sacrifice connects them through what he calls “canon events” when evil Morty escapes the part of the multiverse where Rick is a genius and he’s an idiot he’s going beyond that multiverse. I think beyond the Spiderverse will be going beyond the limited part of the multiverse where they lose someone to become Spider-Man. Maybe Miguel needs these spidermen to lose someone to create the network of the Spiderverse so he can use that as a cover to find universes where his wife and daughter exist because he couldn’t travel to them without their DNA routing them to their universe

Telling and fulfilling every theory from the previous films and making them real. I've absolutely hated the whole incursion concept since they introduced it in the comics, and the MCU model just annoyed me more. I don't think you are wrong, but I am not of the concept. I was a huge Cross Time Caper fan back in the day, and I loved the eXiles. I prefer an open multiverse where people can freely hop across universes if they have the tech.

They're 100% all connected. However what happened to Miguel isn't necessarily an Incursion. It can be Breaking an Absolute Point in Time (Time Paradox)...Though that can't be done accidently so if he did that he's lying about what happened. It can be Time itself was broken by Sylvie when she killed He Who Remains so countless realities were wiped from existence at random. It can be the Collider of that reality created a Blackhole that destroyed it...Though it doesn't look like it's the dark energy consuming the world like in Spider-India's.

the conqueror who currently runs the TVA ends timelines that oppose him especially the timeline that gives birth to He Who Remains so he cant go on to conquer Alioth and defeat the Conqueror like he said in episode 6 of Loki. We know he who remains sanctioned the avengers time travel to defeat Thanos so we may see Loki leading the avengers into a reverse time heist instead protecting the various plot points of the MCU movies because the conqueror will need to stop the MCU from becoming the sacred timeline that births he who remains. Once they guarantee that timeline and help a young he who remains conquer Alioth he could then decide to use Alioth like molecule man and destroy every universe and create Battleworld from the various pieces of timelines much like the void in Loki, starting the Secret Wars movie
Do you think that He Who Remains sanctioned the time travel in Endgame or do you think that he came from a future where that had already happened so he just made sure it played out the way it was supposed to? I've always leaned more towards the idea that everything we see in the MCU (at least from Phases 1-3) is what happened in the timeline He Who Remains came from. That's why it is the Sacred Timeline because it is his original timeline. He created the TVA to protect his timeline and to prevent the creation of anymore variants of him

It could be that Avengers tower is going to come the Baxter building like it did in Multiverse of Madness with Tony hiding some kind of uplink to his time travel discovering in the building and a future descendent of Reed inheriting the building and finding the uplink which could be why to us death and the avengers time travel was allowed because it directly leads to He Who Remains Timeline both are true

Apparently now it is supposed to be Mephisto who bought Avengers tower according to leaks from Ironheart but I believe the original plan was for it to be the Baxter building. I think it would have made more sense but I understand why they would want to try tie it into Ironheart too. In terms of all this multiverse and time travel stuff, I like the way the MCU can be more fluid but unfortunately I think we, the fans, probably put more thought into it than they do. I bet my life that by the time we finally get to Secret Wars there will so many plotholes and contradictions as to how it all works. It's not too late to pull off a great Secret Wars that finishes off Spider Verse and Avengers storylines. However......need new writers. I have such a bad feeling about future Avengers films by Rick and Morty because it's just so obvious that they don't get it. They have majorly screwed up Wanda, Van Dyne, Doctor Strange, Reed Richards, Cassie Lang, Kang, Wong, Mordo, Thanos, Professor X, Captain Carter and America Chavez. If that's the case, the TVA and Who He Remains are the real heroes. They are preventing reality from existing and if that reality doesn't exist in the first place no one will suffer.
They're NOT heroes. Existence is Suffering it's a Feature not a Bug. It's what you learn from it that matters. It's how you create something worthwhile regardless of the meaninglessness of existence. At best you can describe the TVA and He Who Remains as Anti-Villains that believed they were doing the right thing believed that their version of evil was the lesser. But you can NOT argue that mass murder on a cosmic scale of countless worlds, civilizations and innumerable lives of innocents is morally just. Even if the results create stability for others it annihilated many more...Even if you can rationalize the result the cost itself the deeds themselves are immoral.

It appears that all of this is an attempt to create a world that really has no rules or logic while claiming that there are rules and logic governing how things work. This seems to me to be a lazy pathway to storytelling that allows writers to do anything they wish while claiming to follow rules. The conflicts may appear real, but the literary trick reduces these conflicts into illusions. What is "real" is just what the writer says that it is, but the literary device allows that reality to be reversed at a later time for another story. This may produce a few popular movies, but the literary device will become boring--something like the overuse of time travel as a literary device. After a while, the device becomes tedious.
all of this will never be acknowledged. following rules or anything in the mcu is completely pointless, any plot going forward will not involve multiverse of madness or antman quantamania, both movies underperformed and were forgotten by audiences before the credits even rolled
The Marvel Multiverse doesn't make sense to much suspension of logic. I just dumb silly goosey logic or lack of it. If you whant people to be immerse in this concept you have to do a better job defining the limits and workings of the word of the MCU but that is hard since its hard to wrap your mind around this concept even in real world science.

My initial thought was maybe it is just dream-walking/dark magic that causes incursions but that doesn’t work with the fact that Miguel living in another universe destroyed it. Another possibility is that Miguel is hiding something about what happened to that universe.

I think Miguel is sort of like Rick from Rick and Morty limiting them to a certain part of the multiverse aka the Spiderverse where their sacrifice connects them through what he calls “canon events” when evil Morty escapes the part of the multiverse where Rick is a genius and he’s an idiot he’s going beyond that multiverse. I think beyond the Spiderverse will be going beyond the limited part of the multiverse where they lose someone to become Spider-Man. Maybe Miguel needs these spidermen to lose someone to create the network of the Spiderverse so he can use that as a cover to find universes where his wife and daughter exist because he couldn’t travel to them without their DNA routing them to their universe

They're 100% all connected. However what happened to Miguel isn't necessarily an Incursion. It can be Breaking an Absolute Point in Time (Time Paradox)...Though that can't be done accidently so if he did that he's lying about what happened. It can be Time itself was broken by Sylvie when she killed He Who Remains so countless realities were wiped from existence at random. It can be the Collider of that reality created a Blackhole that destroyed it...Though it doesn't look like it's the dark energy consuming the world like in Spider-India's.

the conqueror who currently runs the TVA ends timelines that oppose him especially the timeline that gives birth to He Who Remains so he cant go on to conquer Alioth and defeat the Conqueror like he said in episode 6 of Loki. We know he who remains sanctioned the avengers time travel to defeat Thanos so we may see Loki leading the avengers into a reverse time heist instead protecting the various plot points of the MCU movies because the conqueror will need to stop the MCU from becoming the sacred timeline that births he who remains. Once they guarantee that timeline and help a young he who remains conquer Alioth he could then decide to use Alioth like molecule man and destroy every universe and create Battleworld from the various pieces of timelines much like the void in Loki, starting the Secret Wars movie
Do you think that He Who Remains sanctioned the time travel in Endgame or do you think that he came from a future where that had already happened so he just made sure it played out the way it was supposed to? I've always leaned more towards the idea that everything we see in the MCU (at least from Phases 1-3) is what happened in the timeline He Who Remains came from. That's why it is the Sacred Timeline because it is his original timeline. He created the TVA to protect his timeline and to prevent the creation of anymore variants of him

Apparently now it is supposed to be Mephisto who bought Avengers tower according to leaks from Ironheart but I believe the original plan was for it to be the Baxter building. I think it would have made more sense but I understand why they would want to try tie it into Ironheart too.
In terms of all this multiverse and time travel stuff, I like the way the MCU can be more fluid but unfortunately I think we, the fans, probably put more thought into it than they do. I bet my life that by the time we finally get to Secret Wars there will so many plotholes and contradictions as to how it all works. There already is really, especially now that these Spiderverse movies have been tied into it

It's not too late to pull off a great Secret Wars that finishes off Spider Verse and Avengers storylines. However......need new writers. I have such a bad feeling about future Avengers films by Rick and Morty because it's just so obvious that they don't get it. They have majorly screwed up Wanda, Van Dyne, Doctor Strange, Reed Richards, Cassie Lang, Kang, Wong, Mordo, Thanos, Professor X, Captain Carter and America Chavez.
Meanwhile their multiverse and time travel concepts are nonsense, and their ideas about mysticism is just to use cartoon magic as a plot McGuffin.

They're NOT heroes. Existence is Suffering it's a Feature not a Bug. It's what you learn from it that matters. It's how you create something worthwhile regardless of the meaninglessness of existence. At best you can describe the TVA and He Who Remains as Anti-Villains that believed they were doing the right thing believed that their version of evil was the lesser. But you can NOT argue that mass murder on a cosmic scale of countless worlds, civilizations and innumerable lives of innocents is morally just. Even if the results create stability for others it annihilated many more...Even if you can rationalize the result the cost itself the deeds themselves are immoral.

I just don’t think it translates well in live action. The anthology style of What If worked and I can’t say enough praise for the Spider-Verse movies.
It appears that all of this is an attempt to create a world that really has no rules or logic while claiming that there are rules and logic governing how things work. This seems to me to be a lazy pathway to storytelling that allows writers to do anything they wish while claiming to follow rules. The conflicts may appear real, but the literary trick reduces these conflicts into illusions. What is "real" is just what the writer says that it is, but the literary device allows that reality to be reversed at a later time for another story. This may produce a few popular movies, but the literary device will become boring--something like the overuse of time travel as a literary device. After a while, the device becomes tedious.
Again, i don’t want this to be connected to the MCU. I want Beyond the Spider-Verse to not be tarnished by the MCU’s story.
