    What Payton said unfortunately makes sense. I'm from Philly and I'm 2 years older than Marvin. Philly is very violent. It can make you violent. Even good kids had to know how to get down. When i left Philly as a young adult i became a everyday nice guy. But, when i returned to Philly 10 years later that edge/violent part of my character automatically cranked up. I stayed in Philly for about 4 years before moving to NY. If I stayed in Philly there was a chance I could have gotten into trouble. I'm not saying definent, but it doesn't take much in Philly. With Marvin's upbringing i can see him popping rounds. I've done somethings I'm not proud of, things my current friend would not believe. Marvin should have stayed in Indy, and opened a bar downtown, he would have been fine.

    • @redmustangredmustang
      @redmustangredmustang 11 месяцев назад +19

      Yep. No one would have screwed with him and he could have bought some properties outside of Indy and he would have been fine. Sadly as you put you are in that survival mode. Almost like you have to pack heat just to go out. What you do is just stay away from there if you can afford to move out.

    Wanna qualify this with this is an A+ video, absolutely great work!
    I'm also gonna say that if Harrison was involved, his side of the story for all these incidents was never told outside of, "I wasn't involved" and "I was just saving that man's life" as to minimalize his association with each situation. If he did the things he is being accused of, I'm really interested to hear how the entire events went down. It's easy to see him as negatively as possible when you only hear the side of the accuser.
    For anyone that reads this and instantly thinks "Well, how could blah blah be justified". My imaginary dude, I have seen some WILD things make sense when given the full story. He also may very well just be a malicious predator.

    • @Riles3152
      @Riles3152 11 месяцев назад +4

      To me, and I’m not saying this because of how much respect I had for Marvin as a football player, at least I hope not, but to me it makes more sense to believe that Marvin was capable of doing these things just simply because he was protecting his investment and what was his. If someone is trying to run a business that happens to be in a not so great area, and all of a sudden they are those who come on the scene to try to bring harm and detriment to what you’re trying to do, how would you handle it? We also have to remember that Marvin Harrison comes from this type of environment and the harsh reality is that a lot of young men who somehow escape this environment and elements, sometimes never fully escape the mentality they felt they had to adopt in order to SURVIVE in this element.
      Look, I’m a firm believer in, you do the crime you do the time, but from Harrison’s vantage point, he may have felt no other choice in that given situation. This is why it’s so important to research and try to find all the facts for yourself because a lot of times people only give out information from a one-sided or biased point of view.

    Harrison is innocent until proven guilty and this happened over 15 years ago and he still hasn't been charged so I don't look at Harrison differently. Harrison is one of the greatest receivers of All-time and he deserves every single accolade that he's ever received, especially the NFL Hall of Fame. I'm a Colts fan and what Harrison was able to accomplish on the football field was amazing. Although now it seems his greatest accomplishment was being able to leave the city and become a famous multimillionaire on his own terms. Unfortunately his father and brothers would probably be more proud of what he's done on the streets instead of his football career but no matter what he was dealt a bad hand from birth but he didn't let that stand in his way.

    This leaves out a GREAT deal of facts that drastically impacts the tone and view of this man. THe polics in question had a grudge against Harrison due to his paying "protection" money to the police that they were intimidating business owners into paying.
    Within surrounding law enforcement circles it is pretty well known that statements and evidence concerning Harrisons firearms was imagined, tweaked, twisted and had reports rewritten concerning them 8 TIMES!!!
    The "victim" was a convicted felon of many crimes while also being a CI (criminal informant). While some may think this may provide him with some protection, it was just the opposite, he was expendable and due to his record, no one would question it.
    OH, and those witnesses that backed Dixon's story were all closely related to officers. Dixon had also made comments to officers when annoyed or when things got heated concerning his knowledge concerning the shaking down of businesses for that "protection" money. This obviously didn't sit well.

    This man Marvin Harris was trying to serve a community who in turn due to his celebrity status bully Him threatened and harassed as they would do anyone of this level trying to provoke you to react to get a lawsuit and in most cases it doesn't work out in the person's favor everyone is looking to get a payday but this shows you can ultimately possibly lose your life. What I see in this narrative that's being spun is a man who got tired of people trying to take advantage of him and decided to fight back there's two sides to every story before you rush to judge find out that men's story allow him to speak his truth because honestly we don't know what happened we are on the outside looking in and if we are led by the words of others we can be Miss LED with anything wouldn't you want someone to hear your side of the story if you were in this man's shoes before they rushed to condemn you

    That Baltimore-Indianapolis play off game was the first game where I thought something was amiss in the NFL. It seemed to me that McNair was paid to throw those 2 interceptions when they were about to score TDs within the 10 yard mark. Both times he threw them to an Indianapolis defender with not an offensive player close to the defender. After that I closely watched games/plays. The games are fixed. It wouldn't take much either. Just 1 or 2 players and 1 ref.

The Refs are in on it but I find it hard to believe the players are aware. Like the refs know who should win so they make calls favorably. Boxing is easy to rig, you only got 2 fighters and 1 ref.

    I noticed that dixon saying he feared for his life , said he stayed away from that neighborhood, yet later on he's eating next door to marvins bar ? He's also slinging the whole time, & this shows a routine visiting (Dixon )to this restaurant. Clearly , showing no fear of the area, & possibly intimidating and pushing this to a higher level of intensity,,,,, this a case where u have a Gangsta justice being served by a OG

    Anybody who saw the concussion his son got in the Georgia game knows why many NFL athletes are so violent

      This is a very poignant statement Doc. I have been researching concussions/cte since coaching my son in early 2000's...If you have interest in developing an exposé or general interest in helping by even shedding light on the matter....I would love to connect, as I am working on a solution to help.....GODBLESSU❤

    unfortunaly that kind of upbringing can leave a mark on even the most good of people and as for if he is gulty or not theirs a ton to make me say yes but records are putting that in dought but I have a feeling that him being a nfl player is cover enough that puts so many celebrities above the law
