      @@Terror832 The run game is no longer a staple it's an accessory. Most NFL teams are pass first now. The Fullback doesn't even exist anymore. Even O linemen are expected to be running down the field on screens and draws.

    • @WhoopityDoo
      @WhoopityDoo 2 года назад +6

      @@AirEmOut Nobody is a "feared hitter" any longer because most of those hits draw penalties. The NFL is scared to death of the ramifications of CTE (future lawsuits that would probably bankrupt them, considering what they knew about it even 15 years ago) and has changed the rulebook over the years to reflect that.
      On top of that, most of these so called "feared hitters" you're referring to were usually just pieces of shat that constantly took cheap shots to the head, including the subject of this video.

    • @AirEmOut
      @AirEmOut 2 года назад +13

      @@WhoopityDoo I understand the first paragraph and totally disagree with the second paragraph. Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, Ray Lewis even James Harrison weren't pieces of crap they just played the game violent as it was probably coached to them. They played the game how it was played back then.

    James Harrison was a different animal, he’s really an under appreciated linebacker in NFL history. He made his mark. Say what you want about him, he’s dirty, he’s a cheap shot, he’s a cheater, say whatever you want. He’s a Steelers and he’s here to make you feel the pain he came from. He’s very original, hardworking and just ruthless. You can’t take any of that away from him. He intercepted Kurt Warner and ran it back for 100+ yards in the Super Bowl, what else can I say.

    Thank you, James Harrison. You brought an element of defense to the Steelers that was missing almost since the 70s and added to it. It's a team sport, but it's amazing what a person can do for the whole team. Time with family is more important than football, but I can only imagine the fear caused by any rumor if you followed Le'Veon Bell or Antonio just for fun. Too bad they are on the wrong side of the ball, unless James decided to play offense. :)

      For sure - I understand that man in a way I never appreciated before this. His pragmatism, his sense of humor, his honesty, his purpose. Media really did a job on him - maybe he cultivated it to a degree, but the media was really only interested in one aspect.

    As they said he breaks the mold, as a Kansas City chiefs fan, plenty and out most respect. Didn’t like how he single handedly did to us in a few games but no one did it like Deebo. Lol. This definitely gave a different perspective of him. But he was the best that played his possession. Thanks James, you made nfl fun to watch , and every time steeler play KC , all I get say is ,oh boy.

    being a fan was a little bit of a roller coaster and all I wanted was for him to come back. This series captured an unlikely story and his attitude pretty well. It's crazy he was 39 when he retired and playing that physical of a position. He carried the legacy of a Steelers linebacker well.

    He played football as a defensive player the way the Legends played. Most men that went through his upward battle to make it to the pros would have quit. Then even greater courage to realize his greatest privilege was to raise his 2 boys. As a dad of 3 grown men now I honor this so much. Then his boys tell him to come back at 36! He played his relentless vigor for 4 more years. Then he asked to quit the Steelers as he was older to sign with the Patriots. To his right you either play him or let him go. I love how strong his mom is. God forged this man out of steel. On the field he was relentless off the field he was a dad what a balance. You rock James!
