im 28 years old and remember how crushed everyone was around me when the pats lost the super bowl in 96 but i wasnt old enough to really care. once i hit about 9 or 10 i was obsessed with everything boston sports and it felt like we just sucked at everything. This almost made me shed a tear... as a true sports fan thats a dream come true. awesome video. had to watch it in parts lol
That's how i felt when i was kid. That's when I fell in when love with the Patriots and Boston sports. I never want to watch my dad's sports team make him sad. My dad was born in Massachusetts
People weren't really crushed in 96, no one thought the Pat's were gonna beat green bay. As a 9 yr old kid I was crushed but I dont think that adults really were playing a far superior team with Parcells already out the door. I always thought the way he handled that was classless. But great coaches dont have class, they win football games
I’ve only been a fan since 2013 but I have witnessed 3 Patriot Super Bowls 2 Red Sox World Series, A Stanley Cup appearance from the Bruins about to be 2 and the Celtics going to the playoffs almost every year.
Seeing Yankees stadium descend into a tatrum after ARod was called out is my favorite sequence in sports. Just the absurdity of ARod doing that and then the fans probably pissed that their team might actually blow a 3-0 lead was just priceless.

I absolutely lost my mind watching the '04 Sox win. And again watching the Broncos win Super Bowl 50. Though I can't stand people who are bandwagon fans of the Pats since they started winning, I can't help but have admiration for those fans that have been with them for life. Kraft, Belichick and Brady took a nobody team into a dynasty. @Brian Dubowik Dude the Yankees won 4 of 5 from 1996 to 2000. That's when the dynasty started. And then we won another in 2009. It's all relative. But my point remains. Boston Rocks and Rules! 12 Championships in the last 20 years has been a blessing, with many more to come. Loved them all. 2004 Red Sox Championship is still Number one for me, because it meant so much, and made up for 1946, 1967, 1975, 1978, 1986 and 2003. Red Sox won in 2004, 2007, 2013 and 2018 made up for it big time. What made them all successful, was drought ending. I recall, that when the Celtics won it all in 1986, it was fantastic, but after the Celtics won Sweet 16, things were slow, our teams struggled, and had to wait 15 yrs, for the Championship to come, which was the Patriots in February of 2002, which was the start of many things, for the Patriots, and as a Patriot fan, I had not heard of Brady, because I grew up with Bledsoe. Boston Championships goes back to my junior high school days, going into high school and college. Bruins won the Cup, in 2011, ended 39 yrs in 2011, and biggest thing since the Bobby Orr era, Celtics ended 22 years in 2008, with Banner 17, and it was so important with returning to Celtic Pride. So grateful and thankful, that Boston has seen so much Championship glory, and so many more to come. We take what is ours for the Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots and Celtics. Been remarkable and tremendous times. Boston=City of Champions and Titletown USA!
when I saw this, I thought, oh well, it's pretty long I'll just have to watch it a few minutes at a time. Once I started it I watch the straight through. We're all so blessed to be Boston sports fans. Great way to end it to great old song. Thank you very very much.
@@michaelleroy9281 Yes, and a lot of those championships before the merger of the AFL and NFL. Since that merger? Only two franchises have actually won 6 Super Bowls. I live in a neighboring town of one of those (Foxborough, MA) and am a fan of the other one (Pittsburgh, PA).
It really takes a great vidmaker to give me goosebumps using things I know so well (quotes, championship videos, etc.) It takes an incredible one to recapture an amazing moment like being in the nosebleeds in the Benz to watch them win in February. So you, sir, are incredibly great. Ending it with “Dirty Water” was especially epic. Fantastic work.

Spencer this is truly an awesome little doc you've done. I mean it's very nicely edited and I like the way you've incorporated all 4 pro teams in the market; using the bad times right before leading up to the championship game and moment of glory. It's very climactic and gives the casual fan a suspenseful feeling and glimpse into the roller coaster ride of emotions that comes with passionate fanhood. I'm not from Boston nor have I sworn allegiance to the Bruins, Celtics, Red Sox or Patriots. I'm a Philadelphia "4 for 4" guy But I can certainly appreciate the current era in Boston sports and how the fans are trying to take the elation of the past 20 years and reconcile it with the angst of the century or so preceding it. We have had our spotty moments of triumph over the past 20 but certainly it is more seldom than I would like. Beating the greatest QB of all time in SB LII was definitely my favorite moment ever considering who he is, who the coach is, who they've beaten and how they've beaten them (Atlanta 28-3. Just kill yourselves ATL) I was just very curious how you were able to get permission, clearance, licences (whatever you wanna call it) to use clips from networks like NBC FOX WEEI CBS, other clips from other videos etc. I'm not privy to the copyright jargon so just wondering as I'm in pre production on a somewhat similar project using Philadelphia sports but with the backdrop of other issues in the city and events involving local citizens relative to a specific team. Again I enjoyed this thoroughly and as a fan of all sports and greatness kudos to you
This is the greatest vid evah made! I've been asked what it's like to be a New Englander in my travels and I've referred them to the Welcome to Title Town vid. what an experience. 2.0? It just doesn't get old!
I have great respect for Boston. I may not care for the red sox/celtics. But forget New York. I was born in 2002 and Boston is the greatest sports city in America or probably even the world. Oh and I am a huge Tom Brady and Pats fan and I called Brady winning his 6th. Idk he might even win his 7th for the way he has played last postseason. The 2019 AFC Championship game was the best football game I've sat straight through and watched.
knocked it out the park again Spencer.... great job keep up the hard work I certainly know I appreciate it.... nearly impossible to hold back the tears watching the Ortiz speech again
Celtics Red Sox Bruins Pat's a fan all of them and I'm from Philadelphia love it even more when we take them Philly teams out. And going to be better next year.
I've watched this video so many times and each time it brings me to tears from that I've lived through (little over 40 years worth) and the ones my parents and grandparents went through. And sometimes I watch this and reinvigorate my love for Boston sports.........there is no other fan base better than Boston (but i do know other fans will say otherwise) Forever Boston
This video does not only describe Boston sports, but the average Boston lifestyle as well. Bostonians show true grit in everything they do and they always have a will to keep fighting. They never give up and never back down. #BostonStrong
I love this and I love you as a creator but why wouldn't you wait till late may? we out here going for the quad boys!! Need the B's n C's to step up!! LFG
Hands down one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. Well done! It could've been longer, and it still would've felt like I was watching it for 10 minutes.
Even with the 6 Super Bowl wins TB12 still has a chip on his shoulder and is mad everyone overlooked him. Tom is out there to show everyone he’s better than everyone thought. This defines Tom Brady. The definition of greatness.
OMG . this was awesome!! When i stumbled upon it i knew i would have 2 hours to commit to it so i watched segments across successive evenings. If i ever somehow end up in a coma; please plays this loud in my room on a loop. YUSS!!
Excellent piece though I'm not a Boston fan (NY born) I certainly can appreciate the great games and rivalries and underdog performances. Also thanks for including the music list. I thought that was M83 in the beginning but wasn't sure.
SO many defining moments. Red Auerbach having the guts to draft Larry Bird and waiting a year, the super trade for McHale and Parrish, Belichek drafting TB12 in the sixth round where ANY TEAM could have had him, The acquisition for David Ortiz, the greatest clutch performer in Red Sox history, the Bloody Sock, the team of idiots, the Bruins riding Tim Thomas to the Stanley Cup. But best of all, was the destruction of the NY Yankees by coming back from a 3-0 deficit to make it to the World Series and Reversing the Curse. As a Boston fan, we were mired for decades in misery except for the 60's Celtics. Knowing misery and having it turned to joy after such suffering, no NY fan will know that, well, maybe Jets fans.
29:48 the memory of watching that with my father will for ever be burned into my brain like it was just last night. I can't watch it without tearing up
Neither the Patriots, the Red Sox, the Celtics, nor the Bruins are my favorite teams. But man, all of Boston's sports teams (including lacrosse and soccer) hold a special place in my heart. They are all right up there in the top 5 at least. Just something about the old school styles each one finds a way to hang on to, even while keeping up with the modern pace of their game, there is nothing like it ANYWHERE.
I am a Chicago Blackhawks Fan.....No other sport much matters to me..I live too close to Green Bay in Wisconsin.....Those nice people in Green Bay call their town "Titletown". They believe this..... No one outside Wisconsin probably thinks much of Green Bay as Titletown if they know it at all. Living here with the tunnel vision people I hear the less than complimentary attributes lavished on Tom Brady. I am speaking to Patriots fans now. No one else need apply. Tom Brady in my modest opinion is, has been, and will continue to be the greatest asset, not just to the Patriots and you their fans, but the greatest asset to the very definition....of HEART. He is above and out of reach of his desperate detractors. They will be forgotten minutes after their careers. Tom will always be remembered not just as the greatest player the NFL has ever been graced with, but a model to young athletes the world over. Tom Brady speaks the language of hunger. Never be satisfied. Never surrender. Trust in your abilities and your team mates. Value the lessons taught to you. Feel blessed if you are the last chosen, for you are chosen. Grasp that chance with all your heart and charge headlong with it into destiny. Never look back.BE BOSTON STRONG.
As a Boston sports fan in his 60's the most impactful championship for me was the red sox 2004 world series win. My dad didn't live to see the sox win it all unfortunately. I would have loved for him to see it 😓.....but from that point on i never had to hear the "1918" chant from yankee fans again.
Oh wow man im so sorry ur dad didn’t get to see that one. Well look at it this way he did see it and he had the best seats in the house. I’m a fellow Boston fan and from one Boston fan to another cheers brother
Speaking as a Mass. resident who watched the entirety of this 18-year run happen during his formative years and well into his adulthood...the pregame speech from Devin McCourty (at least, I BELIEVE it's Devin--could well be Jason) at Super Bowl LIII hits real different with three years' hindsight. "One last time...for everyone that loves you." If that was, indeed, the end of the Titletown run...then a more fitting line on which to end it, you won't find. And that's without mentioning that the run ended the same way it started--a Super Bowl win over the Rams led by Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. Truly a poetic and apropos end for a magical, unforgettable generation of sports dominance. I doubt such a run has ever happened before...but I know DAMN well...that it will never happen again.
Manny took a lot of heat for jogging to first, but he was a huge part of that champ team. Finally after almost a century of defeat, I just wanted to say, thank you to that special group of guys, there where fans in their 90's that got to see the amazing story of their redsox finally winning it all in theost dramatic fashion possible.
There's been a bit of a drought recently, but the Bruins and Celtics have been knocking on the door the past few seasons. Celtics especially need to reach the finals again and drive it home
LOVE THIS EPIC MOVIE ON THE CITY OF BOSTON, THE NEW ENGLAND REGION, AND THE TITLE...... OF TITLE TOWN 2.0!!!! Think of this for those who are viewing this comment..... since Feb 3rd, 2002 THE 4 MAJOR BOSTON SPORTS TEAMS has made it to 18 Championship appearances (9 Super Bowls, 4 World Series, 3 Stanley Cup finals, 2 NBA finals). That's means in nearly 20 years at least 1 Championship appearance for one of these teams every year. And out of the 18 appearances---- 6 SB CHAMPIONSHIPS, 4 WORLD SERIES TITLES, 2011 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS, NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BANNER #17 HOISTED TO THE GARDEN RAFTERS! 12 CHAMPIONSHIPS in 18 appearances. What will the next 20 years of the 21st century have in store for BOSTON/NEW ENGLAND Pro sports? We'll shall see. We've heard all the boasting, the spewing, the HATRED, the wishful thinking, the woulda-coulda-shoulda, from those who want nothing but for all of teams of BOSTON/NEW ENGLAND but to spin back into the miserable, persistent cry babies of their past sorrowful history that THEY SHOULD BE KNOWN FOR. WE HERE AS BOSTON/NEW ENGLAND SPORTS FANS will say one thing------ (as David Ortiz said) THIS IS OUR F###IN' CITY!!!! AND NOBODY IS GOING TO DICTATE OUR FREEDOM! THE BEST SPORTS CITY IN THE WORLD IS BOSTON/NEW ENGLAND!!!!!

Just kill yourselves ATL)
I was just very curious how you were able to get permission, clearance, licences (whatever you wanna call it) to use clips from networks like NBC FOX WEEI CBS, other clips from other videos etc. I'm not privy to the copyright jargon so just wondering as I'm in pre production on a somewhat similar project using Philadelphia sports but with the backdrop of other issues in the city and events involving local citizens relative to a specific team. Again I enjoyed this thoroughly and as a fan of all sports and greatness kudos to you
Spencer? A huge ty for putting this together. It is an amazing piece of work. Thanks again from across the pond :-)
What a well done documentary for Boston fans. Thank you Mr. Weeks.
I’m will to admit This video brought tears to my eyes and chills down my spine several times! Great production! Thank you!
This is the greatest vid evah made! I've been asked what it's like to be a New Englander in my travels and I've referred them to the Welcome to Title Town vid. what an experience. 2.0? It just doesn't get old!
If I wasn’t from New England, I probably wouldn’t watch this...but I am and enjoyed every minute
This was amazing. Gives me a great feeling and proud to be a New Englander baby!!!
Time to add to this 😎😎😎
Amazing mini movie. Brought tears of joy to my eyes! Memories! Time to get more now!
How long did it take to upload this ? Not even speaking about that time it cost to create. Great job Spencer
Germanbsfan hahaha think I broke my WiFi uploading it
Germanbsfan and thanks man hope all is well, Go B’s
Job well done!
Bruins fans are all over the globe
knocked it out the park again Spencer.... great job keep up the hard work I certainly know I appreciate it....
nearly impossible to hold back the tears watching the Ortiz speech again
Celtics Red Sox Bruins Pat's a fan all of them and I'm from Philadelphia love it even more when we take them Philly teams out. And going to be better next year.
Can’t wait for the Celtics 2024 update
I've watched this video so many times and each time it brings me to tears from that I've lived through (little over 40 years worth) and the ones my parents and grandparents went through. And sometimes I watch this and reinvigorate my love for Boston sports.........there is no other fan base better than Boston (but i do know other fans will say otherwise) Forever Boston
This video does not only describe Boston sports, but the average Boston lifestyle as well. Bostonians show true grit in everything they do and they always have a will to keep fighting. They never give up and never back down. #BostonStrong
God that was a great video. Simply well put together and gave me chills. Awesome job.
Bro are you kidding me I’m gonna have to watch this like 8 times
I watched 3 times now, maybe I'll beat your record eh? He should make dvd instead of RUclips ( mr. Weeks )awesome!!😙😄😉🤗😎
I'll never forget 2004 coming back down 0-3. unreal
Same, as I won't ever forget 2004 ALCS, as long as I live.
I love this and I love you as a creator but why wouldn't you wait till late may? we out here going for the quad boys!! Need the B's n C's to step up!! LFG
It's not happening. I'm a fan of both but the B's have a shot and the c's have no chance in hell.
Kenneth Dyer The Cs will still hold the title to most championships at least
@@kendyer8761 GOTTA BELIEVE
Hands down one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. Well done! It could've been longer, and it still would've felt like I was watching it for 10 minutes.
10/10 #BOSTONSTRONG
Max Kellerman... how is it humanly possible for one man to be so wrong, every time?
What a dork.
Lmao true
He’s a Yankee/Laker fan.
@Harry Balls - I love the fact he got to eat crow twice in a six-month span. I bet he's still picking black feathers out of his teeth.
This is incredibly well done man! Great job!
Great job on this video! Can't wait for version 3.0!
Even with the 6 Super Bowl wins TB12 still has a chip on his shoulder and is mad everyone overlooked him. Tom is out there to show everyone he’s better than everyone thought. This defines Tom Brady. The definition of greatness.
This is the best documentary I have seen on the center of the sports universe Boston, MA!!
Boston has now won 38 championships
40 according to Wikipedia. MLB-9 , NBA-17 , NFL/AFL-8 , NHL-6.
I'd guess 2 were AFL, before the merger with the NFL.
@diascrive facts man facts
With more Boston Championships coming
City Of Champions!!! Best Sports city in the world hands down!
Holy shit. Amazing. Another hour and 20 minutes I would have needed to call my doctor.
Only the best city in the world. With the best history. The best people. And some of the best heart that I have ever seen.
Amazing stuff 🔥🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
OMG . this was awesome!!
I can't watch it without tearing up
Goosebumps. Watched it like it was my first time. Cried like a baby. Great job!!!!! ❤
I’m a huge Boston fan and what a year we are having with championships
Absolutely Perfectly put together. Great job!
This is a beautiful documentary great work
My skin hurts from all the chills this documentary gave me!!
"One last time...for everyone that loves you."
If that was, indeed, the end of the Titletown run...then a more fitting line on which to end it, you won't find.
2 and a half hours. Wow.
HEY.... a Monday Night blockbuster SEQUEL! AND IT'S IN BOSTON/NEW ENGLAND!
Honestly such a great video
Amazing video...Thank you so much for this treasure.
thank you brother Boston born and bred what a great film I was crying....
The 86 yr curse ending and coming back 0 to 3 in the AL pennant against the Yankees was epic. Even though Curt Schilling is a dink to me now
Great job on this. Must see for any true Boston fan.
How does this only have 930 upvotes? Should be 100X that
David Ortiz's best quote ever was bleeped out. c'mon man
Unbelievable nice job
watching tom brady walk into arrowhead stadium gives me the chills everytime, what an insane game.
It's hard to remember how good Lowe and Schilling were in 2004 or Tim Thomas in 2011.
There's been a bit of a drought recently, but the Bruins and Celtics have been knocking on the door the past few seasons. Celtics especially need to reach the finals again and drive it home
Love this video, and thanks, since I am a huge Boston Sports fan.
The 2004 red sox team still gives me goosebumps till this day
Same
Same here too...it broke the "curse" and on the way they beat the Yankees in the alcs after being down 3 games to 0. It was truly epic!!!
2004 Red Sox will always be Number 1, because it meant so much to me and all Red Sox fans.
ALL TIME FAVORITE VIDEO!!!!!!
