      What I can say about Ortiz? He was the one that got away from the baseball commission . His name came out twice during the investigation of the New York Times in 2003, and in 2007 there were talks about Ortiz. If you want you may ask Manny Ramirez when he was ban from baseball. Ask Alex Rodriguez. Tell him to tell you the truth. If Ortiz entrance into the Hall of Fame was questionable he shoulld have never been voted .

    If 2004 didn’t make him a legend, that 2013 sure did. I remember watching him lead and motivate his team. The grand slam game 2 ALCS was unbelievable

    All the frustrations of 1946, 1967, 1975, 1986 and 2003 just erupted in 2004. You couldn't have scripted a better sequence of events. To come back from the brink, down 3-0. It really was magic.

    I remember growing up whenever I was at my aunts house and the Red Sox were on my brother and I would pretend to play the game. We always loved when Big Papi came up to bat we would scream at our aunt to look even though she was already watching. A true legend of the game his at bats will always send chills down my spine, Thank you so much Big Papi for everything you've done in the sport.

    I Love Boston Red Sox since 2004 I saw for first time MLB from my Country PERU here no people play Baseball, but since that time my heart is in Boston and Red Sox, the destiny want I saw this year where we Champion World Series and know hwo was BIG PAPI " El papa de los Yankees" and another excellets players like Manny Ramirez, Jhony Damon, Jason Varitek..... I will never forget that year.

    David Big Papi Ortiz can't just be defined on one moment bc he has had so many great moments in his career and he motivated his team to be better and accomplish immortality among some of the best teams in baseball history Congrats on your Hall of Fame induction Big Papi and thank you for all the memories sincerely a loyal Redsox fan

    When you first meet him he towers over you; and than he speaks and you’re immediately set at ease. He’s a teddy Bear; but don’t upset him. Than he’s a full grown Kodiak.

    15:20 I was there! Kelvin Rodriguez was pitching one of the greatest relief performances I had ever seen up to that moment. People forget what a monster K-Rod was. Papi was just better in that moment

      @@luishumbertovega3900 Ortiz was a cheater, he took PEDs and don't say he didn't, his name was associated with and documented with Balco that had a very sophisticated system for professional athletes using PEDs and don't say he never tested positive for them which means he never used them because then how come Sosa, Bond's, Clemens, McGuire, and Rodriguez aren't in the HOF like Ortiz, explain that to me because none of those players ever tested positive for PEDs either

      @@luishumbertovega3900 and Ted Williams is one of MLB greatest players ever and put up numbers that are astounding and he did it without PEDs, just because he never was on a Red Sox world series team doesn't make Ortiz the better player because he was on three, Ortiz pales into comparison with Ted Williams, not to mention he was a combat fighting aviator both in WWII and the Korean war and missed several years in doing so playing MLB, bottom line Ted Williams was the real deal, David Ortiz was a cheating fraud who doesn't deserve to be in the HOF

    I love David Ortiz don't get me wrong he was phenomenal but why is it that he's on the steroid list and in the Hall of Fame but bonds isn't? It's so ridiculous. There are so many Hall of famers that were on the positive Mitchell report list yet the greatest home run hitter of all time is being snubbed? We should be thanking guys like bonds and Ortiz and A-Rod and McGuire and Sosa and Clements and Piazza and Sheffield and Luis Gonzalez and Jeff bagwell Todd helton Jose canseco Robinson cano Manny Ramirez Shawn Green Pudge Rodriguez Andrew Jones Rodger Clemens bartolo colon Bo Jackson Albert Belle Cliff Floyd Ken Griffey jr. Jeromy burnitz Brady Anderson Ken caminiti Mo Vaughn and all the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of others that I didn't list that took steroids whether they got busted or not because not only did they give us the most entertaining baseball of all time but baseball completely sucks compared to back then.

      They could never prove via a drug test that Big Papí used steroids. There was only speculation and suspicion. Bonds never really denied that he used steroids; he never went out of his way to declare that he didn’t use steroids. At the end of the day, everybody is entitled to their opinion.
