That truck pretty much defies every other crawler out there. Not only in performance but almost everything crawlers have learned as far as upgrades. This proves that it’s not about expensive parts & tons of power & that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Man what a wake up call. I recently found the cheapest crawler I have outperformed my more expensive ones & in particular the tires & power to weight ratio is what made it outperform them. I lot of eyes will be opened with this video thank you so much.WOW! 🙌
Great looking rig! Great crawling! Thank you for for all the kind words on our chassis! It's only as good as the driver/builder. Great job on the build! Love seeing them put to work!
Right on. We were going to shoot 3 different videos yesterday but this kid was in my way. I took a look at what he was doing and I was blown away! :) Much success to you!!!
There was a lot of depth to his setup and driving. Very efficient in processing what was happening. Every question i asked him, he knew the explanation.
I've been fighting with those same shocks for a year using the springs that came with them. They have always leaked so I never thought to try any other fluid than I have. Awesome build, always cool when the new generation gets it.....
This makes me want to go back to my 6” of articulation. That was some crazy lines the first one I could possibly do but after that I only have 3” up front and 4” in the rear so I know I’m tipping over.
@@RCReviewChannel it was amazing. I’m definitely rethinking my mindset on articulation worst case it don’t work and I go back to my original setup. I would like to see this rig in person I know the camera doesn’t help to actually show the angles.
Just sick!!! Only other videos no offense to any of my RC brothers!!! But dubbleportion only other one I’ve seen even close to that. You guys are all out there!! Great job showing other people’s stuff!!
I was really surprised by some budget choices.. He says the Jconcepts Rupture tires are old but so dialed. He says the 1.9s are so hard to find that folks sell them for 3-4x retail price.
That’s crazy! I had no idea you were Bay Area. I live in San Leandro I’ll be putting my first crawler together soon; I’m putting together parts as I can afford them for a KOH style Gatekeeper.
Awesome video, and even better build. That rig was crazy. I have just started building my class 1 and 2 trucks for next year. Luckily I live 30 minutes from supershaftys new store called key city hobbies. It's so nice not having to wait for parts .
Hey RC Review, I love your videos, watch them all the time. I live in Modesto, part of the Knights Ferry Crawlers. You should come check out Knights ferry some time. It’s a massive, massive place! Those Jconcept ruptures, are no joke!!!. I have the 1.9” on my TRX4 sport, and the 2.2” on my bomber. Using the crawler innovations dual stage though…comp cut inners. Try them out some time, you will not be disappointed.
@@RCReviewChannel About 2 hours to Modesto, maybe another 30 minutes or so to Oakdale, and Knights ferry is just up the hill about 20 minutes. I think all 3 of you guys are awesome. I think you might have met RUclipsr “Sean P Rc” recently, he was at your spot checking out the SCX6. Please let someone know your coming, maybe Sean p. Cencal hobbies in Modesto is awesome too. Unfortunately, I am not on any Facebook, and I will kick myself in the ass if I miss you guys. Knights Ferry is huge! They usually set up gates on the south side of the river, east of the historic covered bridge. That area is best, but honestly, there is sooo much knarly lines everywhere, you could be there for days.
I noticed he is not running any (or verry little) springs on his shocks, I wonder how this type of build competes in an actual comp. my crawler benefits from no springs in a lot of situations but also causes issues in others. I wonder if this type of build is suitable for actual competition.
no springs and just 2k cst diff oil is not something i would have ever thought of lol i might have to try that but i think i only have some 5k laying around
@@RCReviewChannel I May be headed to Miramr to work on military aircraft early next year and I plan on bringing a few rigs and coming up your way to crawl. That’s why I ask.
Lol…4.92” to be exact, and there is another set of 1.9” ruptures…I think they call them “scale country” or something like that, but they are much smaller. You’ve got the right ones, in my opinion. The ruptures are awesome! Maybe a little too tall, but I also got the the Jconcept landlines I’m going to try next
@@jairoluna9822 Hey Jairo, i hope you meant they banned those tires for competition wherever your from. I don’t know if ruptures are not allowed in USA competition (maybe just because of the size), I don’t really care, I don’t compete, but yes, you are correct, they are awesome tires. Keep on RCing. Have a merry Christmas!!
Brass will kill your ride when you go up real climbs. Little brass in front. Hardly non in back. Go up slick steep crock with that heavy rig you won't go anywhere

Yeah, he has the logic and originality to keep trying parts and only go expensive when it makes a difference.
Couldn't agree more. Its about the scienc and the physics, not the wallet
What on earth are you talking about?🤣 Have you checked the price on supershafty axles for example? Only ”cheap upgrade” is the shocks in this build.
@@valimallinjatka6451 Thats what I was thinking!! 😂
Do you think them parts are cheap lmfao bro you have no idea how much that brass and cnc axles cost

Kid i dont know: "yeah."
Wise words. Thanks for the detailed info about what your running. 😂
2000 diff oil
just insane, I'll be saving this to come back to it later, great video Francis and Austin, so much to learn! thank you!
Inconceivable.
Would like to see him out at Sand Hollow with Logan at West Desert Wheeler.
Killer rig setup.
I have thought the same thing, his rigs run little to no brass and usually pretty stock scx10ii based.
I've been targeting CCW's Reaper chassis for my next build. Their ground clearance is amazing while maintaining low center of gravity.
Yup, we are so stoked to learn about this company.
Easily best chassis out there performance wise
Sick rig and a very talented young driver.

Yeah, that was something unique I saw. Places were most would tip over (since they limit travel so much) he had no problem.

Yeah dubbleportion hasn't been here at our park for a while. Definitely amazing and a master of that 4 wheel steer.
Pretty sure his videos doing similar difficulty of lines was same chassis??
And tires.....
Awesome build Great idea for wheel weights Do you have a link or brand you used
I am currently taking apart an old ax10 and was looking for portals. I like the idea of capra axles.
Good luck!
Awesome build Austin 👍 possibly a little more gearing in the rear end? Seemed to drag the rear a bit to much imo but if it works it works right
Im brand new and I've figured out the weight up front is so key.
Go past 60/40 way past.
That weight up front is like glue.
I know the video doesn’t do justice. I’m this is awesome and performance is unbelievable
Exactly. It's just scratching the surface of the vehicle's depth of performance
Sweet rig ! Great budget ideas. 👍🏻👍🏻

Multi layers of interesting!!👍
Very! It opens minds because it now only performs at another level but it also uses unique concepts//products not everyone uses in LCG.
put a locker in the rear and you will be able to take sharper turns with the diff open then lock as needed

8 or 9 lbs I bet
Why it sounds like velociraptor..?

Having music in a video like this is far over rated. Listening to you narrate and listening to the motor is much better...nice rig.
Bet it can’t side hill
Too much flex
Too heavy
Sidehilling is A+. No springs.
Put that thing at 30 degree side hill and it will just slide down.
We would consider that a cheater rig. Also downhills poorly. It wouldn't do that well where we run.
Copy that. Custom rigs are best when they're specialized for the local terrain.
Agreed he wouldn't follow the worst in our group with all that brass.
All you hear is annoying motor
