Nurses put in SOOOOO much hard work and time with patients. And during my five days I. Hospital while three long days of labor with my first child- I got many different nursing shifts and the difference between the ones who love what they do and take personal the love and care that goes into each patient is noticeably drastic. And thank god by the time things got dangerous and hectic- I ended up back with my favorite nurse that also shared the same name as me. And she took such awesome care during what was a hard and concerning time.

My sister had this exact thing. She had what they called a GOITER.that was attached to her thyroid...she lived with it for years before being diagnosed.
And it was a patient at her work that brought it up .
Well after some testing ... It was deemed that it wasn't cancerous HOWEVER, due to my sister's bleeding disorder at that point it was.too risky to take it out. Any surgery is a risk for her because of the disorder.
Well, during one of her pregnancies it doubled in size before second trimester and it did become uncomfortable with breathing...and it continued after baby ( they though MAYBE is this hard to breathe from typical pregnancy or the goiter) so at that time the risks assesment was for it to come out.
Thank goodness for a great surgeon and specialists and for it being non cancerous. 🙏

Once I started to show symptoms, it was vomiting, diarrhea, heart burn...and my eyes turned yellow, because my liver was struggling. That's how I learned I was sick, was when my eyes turned yellow, and my niece noticed, so she took me to the hospital, and they found the cancer in my abdomen. Sometimes, we really don't pay attention to our own bodies. Like, maybe I could have gotten treatment for my cancer a little sooner, if I had paid attention to my body, and seen a doctor when I started throwing up.
