@Toast Malone no, their job is usually to take care of one or two babies maximum. Anything more than two babies at once is a lot of hard work, and we’re talking about nine here. The fact that they’re working tirelessly and determinedly to make sure those babies are thriving, is heroic.

@@eco2geek. I SERIOUSLY hope so. You see the nurse talk about how much work they do around the clock to take care of all these babies and thats with an entire TEAM of medical staff. It's going to be a million times harder once they leave the hospital and actually have to take care of their children on their own. It's great the hospital helped out so much with the delivery but that pales in comparison to the amount of work that's going to be needed to take care of these kids until they are grown. It would be literally physically impossible for two people to properly take care of all these babies even if they work nonstop around the clock. They are going to need at least 3 full-time nannies.

I can't even imagine how hard it will be for the parents to raise 9 kids at once. That sounds insanely hard. I'm sure the birth was hard, but raising them will be even harder.
African families are very supportive. This couple will have grandparents, aunts and cousins assisting. The government will make sure everyone is trained and the parents have necessary support services in place.

This is amazing. Last night I had a dream that a lady I didn't know was pregnant with10 babies. Towards the end of the video there was mention of an older sister. May they bring much happiness to the family.

I was thinking that too -- I hope they have people, friends or family, who can help them with the babies at home. They got a lot of help in the hospital so didn't have to do it all by themselves, and could they even take care of nine (plus the older child) by themselves?

You can get a glimpse at 3:08 . It's hard to tell exactly how big because she's sitting. She looked fabulous 2 months after though, especially for carrying 9!

This is a truly beautiful story. To have nine babies, not from invitro but naturally is amazing to me. God must know these are some strong parents to have not 1, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 but 9. Wow, may God be with this huge family. I'm happy that all 9 survived and are thriving today. Wow truly amazing!

It might be something to do with diet, a lot central African countries consume a lot of phytoestrogen rich foods in their staple food which is a contributing factor as to why they have one the highest rates of multiple births typically fraternal twins. The phytoestrogen causes the women to hyper ovulate.
