@@00zarzu00 Did you hear the back story on birth control in for her medical issue? Her husband didn't want multiples all the time - they went to doctors regarding birth control. Not in the cards for her.
@vinjulieann1 actually, no, not fully at the time i commented, so thank you. anyway, what’s done is done. and i wrote something on another comment which i am copying and pasting here, since i feel the basic points still apply. TLDR is that i do feel more empathy than i did at the start of the video even though i had already heard of this woman previously, and i do still take some of her story with a grain of salt (aka some doubt, such as the actual number of children), but i understand why she wasn’t originally educated on/allowed/given/using and bc methods. my copy and pasted part: just because she produces/releases many eggs does not mean they must be fertilized! this is where the story with that loses me. it’s probably partially the healthcare system there to blame claiming she’d die if she didn’t reproduce/give birth. that’s entirely bullshit. anyway, besides birth control and abstinence, there’s such a thing as a hysterectomy. also plenty of women go their whole lives having many many even heavy periods (aka releasing eggs) and don’t have a child to count for every cycle. i understand why her chance of multiples would be higher due to this condition. i do not understand how it extrapolates out to giving birth at least 16 times (except for her husband’s role). also, not that i’m advocating for it, but plenty of women in similar situations perform abortions on themselves. some women have been so desperate as to give birth and then let the baby die or even kill the baby just to not have them grow up in whatever insane conditions. so. idk. i just feel like something could have been done or different. but what’s done is done and i understand that a child bride does not have much say in the matter. however i also don’t 100% believe the numbers of children she’s touting (and exactly 5 sets of each - quintuplets, triplets - really?). no one has FIVE SETS of naturally born quintuplets plus more! and then lives this quietly/obscurely at that? i just don’t buy it. i’m not saying it’s 100% out of the question or untrue but it is hard to believe hook, line and sinker.
Wow 15 pairs of multiples. Married off at the age of 12. Edit: my first time viewing your channel is this segment on Mama Uganda. Thank you. Love the translator's outlook on lifehood and motherhood.
Very well said. It shouldn't be up to the males who gave her these kids to provide for those kids. That's the job of a random RUclipsr who came to tell her story.

Some parents only have 1 child and abundant the child. This women gave birth to 44 and each child has a place in her heart and LOVED. She is indeed a Mother❤❤❤
“A child is never a mistake”! How true, and how admirable of Mama Uganda to say so. What an inspiring woman. All the children are happy because they know they are loved. It’s sad that she’s still struggling - yet with a smile - to sustain her family. It’s wonderful that you brought her provisions. I hope her kids will get some sort of scholarship so they can finish their education.
Yeah but 44 children by ONE mother is a mistake in a world of overpopulation. I can’t even take people who have more than 3 children. They are taking my privilege of having even ONE child. Cause I care for the world. You Can’t just push 44 children out of your VV in a world where we don’t even know if our children have a good life till they’re old ?? And these 44 kids will make more kids. Multiply this. And all that by only one living being.
The children rely on mom's job so far for tuition. The schools were letting her make tuition payments but she can never catch up. It costs about $54 per child per term. 22 are still of school age and Regan's last video his higher education class needs a minimum of $200 deposit for tuition. Plus he needs school books and supplies. He was earning $5 - $8 daily with his PlayStation but that got stolen along with the TV and his phone. He earns 10k shillings working his construction/bricks job. It costs him 5k just for internet to go on RUclips.
It absolutely breaks my heart. And after spending her entire youth giving life to these beautiful children, her husband abandoned her? Not only did he MARRY A CHILD, and forced her to live an unimaginable life, but then he left her? It’s incomprehensibly wicked. I can’t believe there is no law against this.
Unbelievable that she has so many children they can populate their own little mini village, an incredible woman and so loving and dedicated to her children, God bless and help her, she works so hard to take care of them.
Just got encouraged by this maama and her children who broke odds and stigma with joy and happiness that over weighs the challenges. May God bless them and their father to come back home

All I can say is WOW! I didn't even know it was possible to give birth to that many children! THANK YOU, Drew for sharing her story. Many parents can learn a thing of two from their story. I know they all struggle, but they perceiver and help each other. May God bless Mama Uganda's family.
It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed at times, especially when you have multiple children to care for. It's important to remember that every family's circumstances are different and comparison is not always productive. Mama Uganda is definitely an inspiration, but it's important to remember that every family has their own challenges and strengths. It's great that you are able to see the value in her story and learn from it. Keep doing your best for your children and remember that your love and care for them is what truly matters.
I have the utmost respect for Miriam, she is amazing. I can't imagine the things that she went through when first married to a man so much older than her own father and not having her mother to talk to. The fact that she has been such a good mother to all of her children is remarkable. A GoFundMe for her children's schooling would do wonders for that family and at least for many months out of the year she wouldn't have to work quite so hard. To see all of them smiling is so heartwarming!

there’s always someone worse off and better off than you or any other situation. it’s not a competition for the “worst life” or who has it worst, and one person’s life struggle does not negate or invalidate another person’s challenges. anyone can have it rough and everyone experiences their struggles differently, so something that might seem insurmountable to you is normal life or a workable challenge for others whereas something you deal with might be something someone else can’t face. one person might be very poor but live happily while others are very poor and love very horrible existences. something you take for granted is probably something someone else wishes for, even if you think it’s nothing or something that you maybe even rather not have. for example, plenty of people wish they could have just one child, here this woman claims to have over 40 - she may be impoverished, but she does have the support of at least some people in her community (and the love of her children), which is more than some can say, and she has tight housing but housing none the less. some people dream of that. she is able to stay with them and she may wish she had time to actually spend one on one time with her kids or at least a smaller more manageable group, but some people have no time at all to spend with their kids, whether their fault or not. idk just some examples of how while everything can be compared, not everything should be or is equal enough to be. and for every one thing this mother wants, while someone else does already have it, someone else wishes they could have what she already has, etc.
She is so incredibly stunning, and the fact that she is her age and has produced so many children that are happy and healthy is literally the most miraculous thing I think I’ve seen in a long time. God bless her and all of her children forever.
Now this is a true definition of a strong woman! I'm a single mother raising 3 kids and its hard work! No doubt. Great job mama! You are doing amazing!

Many people have interviewed Mama Uganda before but you told her story so beautifully and with such respect. Thank you @drewbinsky. Ugandan women are truly resilient and hardworking.
I love how he respectfully show the REAL of every story. All the other RUclipsrs just asked the basic questions and left. You cooked with her and sympathized with her and truly understand how tough it is for her but showcasing her resilience. I love her even more. Her personality is contagious. And I love her kids! or she just needed to be shown birth control methods …
TLDR is that i do feel more empathy than i did at the start of the video even though i had already heard of this woman previously, and i do still take some of her story with a grain of salt (aka some doubt, such as the actual number of children), but i understand why she wasn’t originally educated on/allowed/given/using and bc methods.
my copy and pasted part:
just because she produces/releases many eggs does not mean they must be fertilized! this is where the story with that loses me. it’s probably partially the healthcare system there to blame claiming she’d die if she didn’t reproduce/give birth. that’s entirely bullshit. anyway, besides birth control and abstinence, there’s such a thing as a hysterectomy. also plenty of women go their whole lives having many many even heavy periods (aka releasing eggs) and don’t have a child to count for every cycle. i understand why her chance of multiples would be higher due to this condition. i do not understand how it extrapolates out to giving birth at least 16 times (except for her husband’s role). also, not that i’m advocating for it, but plenty of women in similar situations perform abortions on themselves. some women have been so desperate as to give birth and then let the baby die or even kill the baby just to not have them grow up in whatever insane conditions. so. idk.
i just feel like something could have been done or different. but what’s done is done and i understand that a child bride does not have much say in the matter. however i also don’t 100% believe the numbers of children she’s touting (and exactly 5 sets of each - quintuplets, triplets - really?). no one has FIVE SETS of naturally born quintuplets plus more! and then lives this quietly/obscurely at that? i just don’t buy it. i’m not saying it’s 100% out of the question or untrue but it is hard to believe hook, line and sinker.
She became the mother she never had, to so many children. She went through a lot honestly, but God is good.
❤❤❤
Wow 15 pairs of multiples. Married off at the age of 12.

The best gift you gave the family was promoting their channel, Drew.

Other ppl can have it bad too

In America young generations are entitled biyatches.
there’s always someone worse off and better off than you or any other situation. it’s not a competition for the “worst life” or who has it worst, and one person’s life struggle does not negate or invalidate another person’s challenges. anyone can have it rough and everyone experiences their struggles differently, so something that might seem insurmountable to you is normal life or a workable challenge for others whereas something you deal with might be something someone else can’t face. one person might be very poor but live happily while others are very poor and love very horrible existences. something you take for granted is probably something someone else wishes for, even if you think it’s nothing or something that you maybe even rather not have. for example, plenty of people wish they could have just one child, here this woman claims to have over 40 - she may be impoverished, but she does have the support of at least some people in her community (and the love of her children), which is more than some can say, and she has tight housing but housing none the less. some people dream of that. she is able to stay with them and she may wish she had time to actually spend one on one time with her kids or at least a smaller more manageable group, but some people have no time at all to spend with their kids, whether their fault or not. idk just some examples of how while everything can be compared, not everything should be or is equal enough to be. and for every one thing this mother wants, while someone else does already have it, someone else wishes they could have what she already has, etc.
She is such a beautiful person
a true hero
