Fast forward to today.....no one ever thought the precious man would still be living and still have the ability to TELL HIS STORY. I see your point and I agree with it. One of the things that helped Germany after WWII is that they did not erase all the bad history. They memorialized it so they would never forget and never let it happen again. They talk about it, they deal with it, they work on it. In the US, very little of that takes place. Colored was the term used in those days. I been going through some old documents since mother's death year agobin her 90s. My Birth Certificate parents Race/Color listed as Negro.

In that part of the south the polite term for blacks.. Is "colored" the blacks there use it too.. Not everyone in America speaks the same way... Amazingly
