I'd say that making the killer not want to break the pallet is pretty good value.
Especially if you only use it on very safe pallets.

It's a meme build that needs 7 perks, 2 survivors, 1 offering for a 20 second bully method, which many killers can avoid. It's just for fun.
Still some immensely piss poor timing, given the whole discussion literally yesterday about how bad the community currently acts in game.
@@thehermitwizard I don't think this falls under the awful behaviour that has been discussed. They didn't abuse any bugs, or took other players hostage, or abandoned other players or did their damnedest to make sure everyone else died if they couldn't survive. They had fun with a stupid meme build that inconvinienced the killer for just a couple of seconds, then still tried their best to have a fun game overall. I think this is exactly the right behaviour and attitude bc it's not about ruining the experience for everyone else, it's about having some fun and not taking it too seriously~
Can we talk about how nice is the animation explaining the plan?

It can only be performed once in a trial, only on 1 specific map and is incredibly difficult to pull off. There’s no t bagging or keeping the game hostage.
This is 10 times more fun to go against than your typical sweaty meta survivors

I think chemical trap has the same application as Pig's headtraps and deep wound: they aren't meant to work, they are meant to slow down opposite side. Even in 0:07 Otz placed a chemical trap. Ghostie didn't eat it but he didn't break a pallet either making him waste way more time on a strong loop
Yeah, it looks like it really lets you preserve some important pallets, like a much better Any Means Necessary.

"...completely avoid breaking the pallet making this perk definitely less useful" as the footage shows that's possibly even better than a few stunned seconds as the loop is taking longer without further pallet uses and keeping to that one corner of the map. That's hella value.

Hey otz, love the vid especially the lemmino esque editing part. I commented on a vid about a year and half ago asking you to try to use delivrance 3 times in a single match with a full squad. It will probably not be as exciting as this one but I think figuring out a plan and sticking to it would still be fun. I haven't thought about the logitics of it fully but it shouldn't be too challenging, more of dumb concept than anything.

Chemical Trap is one of the funniest perks in the game. It has the unique property of making killers try to play around extremely safe pallets. I’d thought about how you could trap a killer in that area with Chem trap before, and this was so much better than I could’ve imagined. Super funny video! Also loved the beginning animation, that was so clean

I don’t play DbD, but I hang around for how entertaining you are Otz, and challenges like this prove it. Taking what seems like a random perk to a non player and creating these elaborate challenges from pure game knowledge and making it entertaining just shows the love and skill you have for the game. the funniest thing is that if you would succeed at that its likely that a poor unknowing survivor will vault in there during chase and get completely destroyed. id still do it tho lmao

Hey Otz, you can also drop the pallet, use chemical trap on it and reset the pallet with any means necessary. This way you dont have to place it while the killer is chasing you.

To be fair, the very fact that killers are so unwilling to break a trapped pallet is value in itself. Imagine having a perk where you can just drop a really strong pallet and the killer just doesn’t break it so you can loop them around it for eternity.

I haven’t watched dbd vids for 7 months and this was a fun video to watch coming back.
New perk idea I got after Otz got downed in front of a breakable door.
Idea: Survivors can spend the time breaking the door. Like the opposite of that one perk Bill has. Maybe skill checks to break it faster or a toolbox?
Or survivors can choose to turn a door into a breakable Window with a success and a failure just breaks the door completely?
The fact that killers will avoid breaking the pallet is value in itself. I'd even say that's way more value than the trap actually going off.
Making the killer go out of their way to not break a pallet, seems more useful than just slowing the killer down once.
The fact that you pulled it off and still got downed immediately is pretty hilarious
It’s honestly an amazing perk because I always use it on specific pallets like cow tree. If they decide to break it, I get plenty of time to get away, if they try to ignore it, I get an infinite loop.
