I’ve been a fan of indian classical music and the fusion formed as early as 1976 with John McLaughlins Shakti band. Their style and technique is 2nd to none. Study indian classical for a day or two and you’ll know why. Their rhythm system Konokol is the best. Their melodies come from ragas which deeply subtle and complex and very exotic.
That young playing the chick Corea track is amazing.

Mohini Dey is a delight to hear. I hope she gets to do everything she wants to do, musically and personally. Your Indian-flavored song is so serious, but I can understand the gravity of the situation - I live in Yuba City, California, which is often called "Little India" due to the large population here. Fortunately, I LOVE indian food, so it's perfect for me.

Knowing they can still learn more no matter how great they are. Great to see all these Indian bassists, especially the super-talented ladies. BTW, "Mohini" can be translated as Enchantress.
