Loved this guys, I think this answered my question of 5 wood or hybrid, and this hybrid looks way more forgiving and goes super long. Great video guys👍
Seems like the Ping 425 line is performing quite well, and favorable to us lefties that are often ostracized by golf manufacturing companies. Love the video, keep them coming 2nd Swing Golf!!
Would be interesting to compare against the G410 hybrids. I play G410 19 & 22 degree hybrids which are long, easy to hit and very accurate. In fact I had to weaken the loft a degree on the 4 hybrid to 23 degree - it just flew too far. Definitely liking what Ping has done with the hybrids
Love these Hybrids I have two G410 hybrids (3 & 4) but haven’t hit either one due to having shoulder surgery in Dec 2019. Might be trading these in come spring time. May only need 1 hybrid depending on my gapping

@@2ndswing the plan is to make a 2 hour drive from Staten Island NY to your DE location in the spring. I have a G410 driver which is brand new never hit and 3 wood is head only in like new condition. 5 wood and 2 hybrids are in good condition with regular wear. The issue is I’m recovering from shoulder surgery in December 2019 and I need to get my swing speed back up to where it makes sense to get a fitting. So it may more than likely be late spring. Also have Accra shafts which I may stay with depending on how they perform in the fit. The issue is these tips are for cobra not Ping or any other OEM
Awesome review. I'm looking forward whether 2nd swing will do comparison review on this PING G425 hybrid against its competitors which have same loft , 19 degree @ #3 hybrid, such as Tour Edge C521 hybrid, Srixon ZX hybrid, Cobra RAD hybrid, Callaway B21 hybrid, Mizuno CLK, TaylorMade SIM Max Rescue
Picked up my 425 irons last week and I love them. Considering buying one of the hybrids instead of long irons but my experience with hybrids tells me they are really easy to hit pull hooks with. Is the technology going to help with that?
That's a common issue! A lot of golfers struggle getting 3-hybrids into the air and because of that will often hit a 4-hybrid just as far as the 3-hybrid. You may want to have a fairway wood in the bag around 16-18 degrees to pair with the 4-hybrid instead of the traditional 15 degree 3-wood.
@@2ndswing @2nd Swing Golf i have a g410 3 wood that i love. Had no problem getting my toursedge 3 hybrid airborne, but I cracked the face recently. Purchased a 410 3 hybrid a day after I demo'd the 425. Hit one a year ago and liked it. Thank you.
Hi, great review as always! Did you happen to also test the 7 hybrid, ie 34 degree loft? I'm not the best short/mid iron player, so wondering if the 7 hybrid would help me in that 140-155 yard range? I have 3 X2HOT hybrids, 3, 4 and 6, and love using them, so contemplating the 7 hybrid, maybe even the 6!? Cheers Andrew
Hi James! That will depend on your swing speed and swing tempo. In general, a stiff flex will help players with swing speeds on the faster side keep the ball flight down and more controlled.
Really enjoy the videos guys. When you see a guy like Thomas hammer that hybrid, you wonder why he’s still playing the 2 iron, but then of course, he proceeds to hammer the 2 iron, so there’s that. 😂 Btw, the course vlogs are very enjoyable as well. Cheers!
I have G425 driver SFT & 5-wood SFT. No SFT hybrid. Looking towards 4 hybrid. However, maybe get 3 hybrid and increase loft? Wouldn't that close the face and make it like a SFT? Or is SFT more about the weighting?
Yes! This club preformed great with off center hits! Very forgiving with all of the new technology. The results with trackman are extremely accurate! Thanks for watching!

Currently game the g400 hybrid and driver and super excited to test the new products. Seem to be well worth the upgrade after two years

Hi..love the channel..would the X flex in the tensei orange hybrid be too stiff? Tks..
Depends on the player. It's not the stiffest x-stiff shaft out there...

Demo'd a 425 3 and 4 hybrid last weekend. Couldn't get the ball up into the air, with the 3? No matter what setting. The 4 was fine...

Regular flex or stiff flex? Recommendation?

Mid March in the UK

Yes. Increasing the loft will close the face slightly. SFT has more weight in the heel but I would try more loft- Thomas
