Someone needs to draft that Indiana kicker simply for those fire onside kicks 🔥
I thought by I was the only one who saw that. That second kick was EXACTLY the same as the first, the guy who jumped for it just timed it wrong or they easily could have had 2 recoveries.

Yep. Indiana averaged 43 pts per game, and until the last 1:30 of this game, were held to 3 pts.
They choked against top teams.
Everybody knows Indiana wore ND down and dominated the last couple minutes by design.

Indiana have not beaten a top 25 team. They looked overwhelmed
There’s a reason teams like Alabama (except this year) make it in every year when everyone is mad about another team being more “deserving”
Play top tier teams lose by DD in both games and ND game was not even close.
until the last 2 minutes then they realized they could play with them

There was one dog in this fight. His name is Jeremiyah Love!!
College football is better than the NBA.
Impressed with the athletes on that 98 yard TDs run, heck of a foot race.
He was state 100m champion
Love is a burner, ran 10.7 and won the state championship in high school. #22 Sharpe on Indiana is actually even faster, ran 10.4 in the 100 and 21.2 in the 200 hence why he was catching up at the end. 🤷🏿♂️
@@jamesswain2465 Love did that with flu like symptoms and body not at 100%. Imagine how good Love will be 100% healthy against Georgia???
@@elitemidrange He also covered much less field to come that close to Love.
@ That is negated by the fact that he was turned and blocked. If you pause at 1:28 and then at 1:30 again you can see that Love was fully accelerating while Sharpe was thrown off balance and then had to reaccelerate. Love was a full 5 yards clear of him and while granted Love slowed some at the end Sharpe was only a step or two behind by that point. 18:18 First off props to Indiana's kicker. He definitely got some scouts paying attention to him after those beautiful onside kicks. What I wanna point out is on this last onside kick, Indiana's #24 (2nd from top of the screen) was fastest off the line but fell down. If he didn't fall down, I won't say he would've caught the ball, but he could've at least contested the catch ND made. Luck of the Irish I suppose :D

This is great participation thinking if you support that. This is not about competition and, in essence, is not football.
@@MrGlock-x6k This will always be a hot topic about who deserves to get in. If 24 teams were selected, there would still be arguments on which teams should have been selected. It will always be controversial. I think some critics are angry that IU, a basketball dominant program got in. We will have more controversy in the future the day Kentucky, another basketball dominant school gets in. I know, some fans will say that because they're in the SEC the selection will be justified. Notre Dame may not care or even like it. But this game was so great for the state of Indiana. I'm a little jealous as a Texan. I'd love to see Houston, Baylor, Texas Tech, or TCU play A&M or UT in the playoff. That would be so phenomenal for the state. And to think Indiana was the first state to accomplish that. Guess we only gomna talk about the 98 yard run and just ignore Riley Leonard being a future franchise qb the fact he didn't regress after his injury last year with duke and may even be playing better is crazy if he don't get selected the first round when he chooses to opt for the draft ima loose my mind he's definitely a nfl caliber qb
Looking back its embarrassing losing to that IU team...
Love should be a top 5 rb in the draft.
He has another year left 😊

The 98 TD broke Indiana, the final score doesn't tell how dominant Notre Dame were for the majority of the game.
Cool game.... maybe indiana had weak schedule but a solid team. Cool playoff game. Indiana vs noter date in state is awesome.
Just shows you these big 10 teams etc. In the top 25 with only 1 or 2 losses wouldn't be there if they played a real schedule like an sec schedule ..I get they're trying to make it where other teams get in and all that but usually it's jut to get smoked by a team with any kind of a real pulse...
"An SEC schedule" can mean anything from Georgia's monster's row of a schedule to a softer schedule like Texas had (only one ranked team, played twice).
What cost Bama and Ole Miss wasn't their tougher schedules. It was the bad teams on those schedules, like Kentucky.
How about the way that Michigan played a real SEC team last year in Bama, beat them then won it all the next week buddy?
@@whydoineedachanneltocommen8755honestly, Kentucky isn’t as bad as their record entails but nobody wants to hear that
@@dariuswilliams3206 Because Kentucky was worse than their record looked since the start of October.
@@clipcoug1139 I look at the whole season. A little competence here and there and they have Georgia and Vandy win. Now they’re a 6-6 bowl team. A bad incompetent 6-6 bowl team, but, a bowl team nonetheless.
ND fan here. A couple really big mistakes but I think IU still showed signs of what could be a really good team with a little more work. I do believe they deserved to be there. Coming from the bottom of the list to the top and “the big show” was in nobody’s predictions this year, including their own. Everyone should be proud of what those boys have done for their program in 1 season. Going from playing “nobody” to the “top dogs” with everyone watching in enemy territory can’t be easy. IU, well done not giving up fighting until the clock ran out. Great season 👍🏻 Hope to see you and maybe a few other surprise teams in the playoffs next year.
People are quick to say Indiana doesn’t belong but don’t credit Notre dame cause they looked really good tonight
They were supposed to look good, this was a scrimmage 😂
@@MarvelandStarWarsProductionstell Alabama that vs Vanderbilt, or even ND losing to NIU 🤷🏽
Instead of dogging on Indiana, can’t we just congratulate both teams for making it to the cfp?
edit: I literally just got told to kms by an ND fan lol
Sure, we could...
But please, don't for a second pretend that if Notre Dame had lost this game, the ENTIRE COUNTRY wouldn't be absolutely dogging them.
I am not here to put down Indiana. All I will say is this...
They were not on Notre Dame's level. That's just a fact. It was evident all night.
However, if the Hoosiers had beaten Notre Dame, this video would have 30 times the number of comments, and EVERY SINGLE ONE would be laughing at ND, calling them "Overrated", and how they can't win in the Playoffs.
It would be brutal.
Lets not pretend that this wouldn't happen.
So, I am not going to trash Indiana.
I am simply going to congratulate and celebrate my Irish and their big Victory!!
GO IRISH!
It’s just loser bama fans and other random sec teams doing that whining. And people wonder why they are disliked by everyone outside of their fan base
No
no. be competitive
@@irishron4861 random sec hater like this
Watching this game as a neutral, the worst part about Indiana's Defense...they were in position almost everytime, they just couldn't get the tackle. Ahh well, great season for IU. Congrats to ND for the first 12-team playoff win.
Indiana has improved as a program but I think it’s clear they aren’t a playoff caliber program yet.
Can we now finally admit that they didn't belong in the playoff? They played two good teams, and were soundly whipped both times. They are the product of remarkable fortune, a modest improvement, judicious use of the portal, and an extremely fortuitous schedule. Hope you enjoyed the run, Hoosiers fans: They're a seven-win team next year.
If you take away the two special teams failures against OSU, they were equally competitive against them up to the end. I think they absolutley did belong.
@@criticaloptimist7961if you take away all of ND’s points in this game, IU wins too!
Tennessee proved that those were imaginary top 25 wins. The SEC doesn't play defense. Pretty embarrassing that a 10-2 SEC team looked about the same or actually worse defensively than Indiana and SMU.
Love this new playoff system. Exciting for sure 👍
The Indiana quarterback threw a lot of passes he shouldn’t have, like into tight double coverage a few times. He made a lot of bad decisions during the game.
He was way off, I think the moment was too big for him.
