If this is an increasingly more dramatic scale, how in the world is James Harrison at the beginning?!?!??! That is literally one of the most impressive plays in NFL history. A defensive end pulls out into coverage on an all out blitz, intercepts the balls and runs 98 yards with no time on the clock to shift a Super Bowl going into halftime.
While jumping over people, not allowing himself to be tackled, and staying in bounds the entire time??? Definitely the most impressive Superbowl interception of all time!
It's definitely an underrated play here. Not only a pick six but basically a 14 point swing going into halftime, taking a nearly guaranteed TD off the board for the Cardinals. That Santonio Holmes catch would've never happened if Harrison didn't score there, and especially if he didn't get the pick in the first place
Wow, as a Ravens fan the three straight goal-to-go fails starting at 1:48 back-to-back-to-back like that were quite the gut punch to start my day. Thanks NFL Throwback!
The last 2 minutes of regulation of the 13 seconds game was insane. Clutch play followed by clutch play. If a playoff game could end in a tie that would have been the game.
Patriots making the Super Bowl starting Julian Edelman at CB in the AFC championship game (and entire playoffs/season) is still just insane to me. Sterling Moore who made the clutch defend on Pitta was also a practice squad player.
People forget how Troy Brown essentially WON the Patriots their first Super Bowl. Go back to the 2001 AFC Championship game. He gets a punt return touchdown. He picks up a block field goal and THEN laterals it off and it goes for a touchdown. That's 14 points right there and the win Pats by 7. Troy Brown has 3 rings and yes the strip fumble against the Chargers was big, but Troy Brown was the underrated receiver that doesn't get talked about that much during Tom Brady's early years.
@ when you’re a commentator, you’re supposed to be unbiased he makes what should be great calls sound like absolute shit because he’s not excited because he’s bummed
Drew Pearson, Troy Polamalu, Tom Brady, and Lawrence Taylor; these guys broke so many opposing fans' hearts. Their ability to steal victory in the most improbable circumstances make them legendary.
Tyree, Edelman, Kearse all had unbelievable moments.. but I think Santonio Holmes’ catch is the greatest catch in Super Bowl History. Triple coverage. Corner of the end zone, perfect ball, full extension, fingertip catch, both tip toes down. Under a minute left, down 3. Incredible play.
Great choice to put a defensive highlights right at the top. Often overshadowed by offensive highlights but these plays take incredible planning and quick reaction times.
I'll never forget Troy Brown, stripping the ball, and the Pats coming back to beat the Chargers. As a Pats fan, to this day, i believe the charges were the better team. They were so stacked on offense and defense, but brady found a way to win with rache Caldwell as his best WR. The pats actually did the colts a favor because if SD won, they would've gone to the SB and not the colts. The chargers were the best that season.
@@brianvanasse7627 Either troll or the most braindead take. Dude spent the whole game behind a porous offensive line, getting chased around the backfield, and watching receivers drop passes.

no, we haven't got over the year before. Not because Elway drove denver 98 yards to send the game to OT but the field goal in OT that was ruled good when it clearly was a miss. The refs were frozen so they wanted the game to end.

Should have been higher on the list. That Seahawks team had no business beating the Saints.
Larry Fitzgerald is under appreciated when it comes to CLUTCH moments… the playoff games he’s been in with a competent QB, he’s always balled out
He almost had that tackle on James Harrison running out of bounds and then running back in right before the touchdown.
