    Good job. Thought you would have done the old trick of cutting the old bearing race with a thin disc, then you can use it to drift in the new ones without fear of getting it stuck. Great vid as always.

    Hi Paul, A super vid, hoping to do the front suspension and discs etc on Penny (New name of the big black landy on my driveway) , but I will have to swap out a heavily corroded Swivel, but, like you I am junking that spacer etc on the bearings and reverting to 300tdi spec and changing calipers and fitting Pioneer 4x4 flexible jump pipes to the caliper and upper swivel joint bracket and a new master cylinder and Servo and and and, Carry on filming Regards Phil

    • @All4Overland
      @All4Overland  2 года назад

      Hi Phil...the pioneer 4x4 flexible jump pipes are well worth fitting..we put them on Wilf when we did the front brakes and its so much easier than having the hard pipe...it is an upgrade i will do shortly i think..and i think it is well worth putting the 300tdi set up in over the TD5..and i will carry on filming lol..regards Paul

    Get rid of the “dust covers” they do nothing on defenders, I’ve removed mine years ago and they is no change, except I’ve had no stones being caught between them and the discs. Love the videos and looking forward to seeing the next, let me know if you’re ever down Salisbury plain are.

    • @All4Overland

      Hi Marco...i normally do remove the dust shields as they tend to rot off...its just in this case i haven't got around to it yet but probably will in the future...and if i am down near Salisbury plain i will get in touch...regards Paul

    this disc should be on the other side of the axle.. oops ;)

    • @All4Overland
      @All4Overland  2 года назад +1

      Hi Nick...the brake discs are not handed you can put them on either side...
      the direction of the slot in the disc you can put on either way..if they were handed the air vents on the inside of the discs are angled to aid with cooling..the air vents in these vents are cut straight so hence why they are not a handed disc...regards Paul

      @@All4Overland I think the slots and holes are meant to de-gas the pads. Logically the direction that makes sense to me is to "throw" the gasses outward.
      However if the internal vanes are straight I guess it's less of an issue.
      Keep the videos coming Paul 👍

    • @All4Overland
      @All4Overland  2 года назад +1

      as far as i know it makes no difference at all the direction of the holes in the slots for degassing like i said its only the direction of the internal slots in the rotor..regards Paul
