    First of all thanks for posting! I was wiring mine up in the living room watching this on RUclips. I used soapy water to get those terminal boots too easily move into position.

    I bought the same winch and bumper (none air con) 3 years ago, both have held up really well, the bumper still looks like new despite mine living outside, well made bit of kit, reasonably priced as well, Terrafirma also make a number plate bracket that allows the plate to be mounted on top of the bumper on the drivers side. Wish my OME dampers had been as well finished, they went rusty after 12 months!

    Nice job. I bought and fitted a Bearmach one a few years ago to my 110, surprisingly similar! (Probably the Chinese factory next door). I had to change the hook for a black one though.
    Same with the cables, ended up making my own extensions and running everything through split convoluted tubing. Put my isolator in exactly the same spot too and from the back, I do need some extra terminal boots though, good idea.
    Can't wait to see you test it out 👍🏼

    • @All4Overland
      @All4Overland  2 года назад +1

      Hi David...i wouldn't be surprised if they weren't made in the same factory but the bumper does seem quite good quality and everyone i have spoken to rates the winch as a good one..and funny enough i will be changing the hook on the winch line but to a red one and rubber boots on the terminals are a definate must and i am glad you are enjoying the build series...stay tuned for the next episode...regards Paul

    I have the same winch waiting to go into my 92 110. I was planning on adding a fuse on the jumper in the battery box. Seems like it should have one?

    • @All4Overland
      @All4Overland  10 месяцев назад +1

      I can definately recommend the winch as it seems to be very good..if you were thinking of putting a fuse in it would have to be a really big one as these winches draw alot of power...you would be much better off just putting a winch isolator in as it will give you less trouble.

    What model of terrafirma bumper did you fit?, I see you didn't have to trim the grille, but do you have air conditioning?

    • @All4Overland
      @All4Overland  Год назад

      Hi Cody Star...the winch bumper is a terrafirma commercial bumper and its the Aircon model and i do have the aircon grille as well but with this bumper there is no need to cut any of the grille out...Beryl does not have aircon but i do have an oversized intercooler mounted behind the grille hence the aircon front end..regards Paul

    • @All4Overland
      @All4Overland  2 года назад

      Hi barry...yes u could connect to the starter motor but with Beryl having the 300tdi conversion the cables would run very very close to the starter motor and it would make them difficult to secure and plus if you did that you could not put an isolater in as easily as i did connecting them to the batteries...and thanks for the compliment...regards Paul

    Beryl is coming along nicely. A lot of work but it’s piece of mind when you’re on a trip knowing everything has been gone over and checked, repaired or upgraded. Quick question, what is the rubber floor matting and seat box covers/insulation? Is it an Exmoor product? Looks pretty good and original.

      Had the same bumper for 3 years, I did brush clear waxoil onto the back and into the winch tray, have to say it's still just about as new, mine lives outside in all weather's as well, really well made and finished, I can recommend the bumper and the winch but buy a cover to keep the weather off the winch.

    • @All4Overland
      @All4Overland  2 года назад +1

      Hi Gordon...i have heard mixed reports about Terrafirmas finishing on some of their products like the shock absorbsors going rusty and peeling in under 12 months but i have got a set on my other truck that have been on for 3+ years and still look like new but i did treat them with lanoguard on a cloth when they were new so maybe that has helped to preserve the coating...and before Beryl leaves the workshop she will be getting a full lanoguard treatment..regards Paul
