    To reduce drift for foliar (you are making clouds!) and if you can keep up the pace and have 60psi go to XR11006. I love it. For soil ramp up as well to AIXR11005. It extra coarse will penetrate better the canopy. Both will improve you app time. A middle ground is the turbo jets or even TT(twin turbo).

    If you like the pattern of the XR8004VS (XR= extended range) you can also get it in a TP8004EVS (even fan set up for perfectly even coverage of 20” at 20” above the ground) or you can get it as DG8004VS (drift guard) for the same 80 degree fan but with larger droplets to minimize drift) Basically if you hold any of these 22-24” above the turf you can follow your mower stripes (20” for you reel guys) It’s hard to believe what a difference a decent tip vs Chinese econo-plastic can make. I just upgraded this pre-season!

    I’m finding that the filter in the nozzle clogs fast along with the flow zone filter it clogs fast . This is especially true for all N-ext products. You have use a metal coffee screen to filter it before adding it to flow zone and remove nozzle filter.

    Your Home Depot link shows a male quick disconnect and not the female threaded one. 3/4. Generally all the pressure washer fittings tend to be 3/8.
    Hard to find the 3/4 fittings. I ended up buying the one in your link but it’s not correct.
    The 45 degree body adapter you linked has a 1/4 inlet and 1/2 outlet . Not 1/2 on both sides. Although the do make them

      I just bought 2 different adapters a 3/8 and 1/4. 1/4 seems to small and to much play when plugging in. 3/8 has a different connector end. Maybe I have an air compressor one? Anyway what would be best to get?

    What have you found to be the benefits of the teejet vs the standard green or silver tip from flowzone? I own a pest control company and I'm curious to know the difference

    • @JimmyLewisMows
      @JimmyLewisMows  2 года назад +1

      The biggest benefits for me are the variability of flow rates and spray patterns, as well as the ability to connect them with elbow fittings to the spray shaft for better comfort. I should note that I use these tips to spray products on my lawn. When I'm spraying pest control, or spot spraying weeds in my lawn, I use the standard green tip.

    Great video Jimmy. You didn’t mention o-rings. What o-rings or gaskets do you use for the threaded quick connect end and for the TeeJet tips? Thanks

    • @Airstreamgene
      @Airstreamgene 2 года назад +1

      I'll reply to my own question:
      Found out you do not need any rubber gasket, o-ring, or washers for either the quik-connect threaded end or for the TeeJet nozzle threaded end. A washer is available from SpraySmarter for about $4 plus $9 something for delivery...no thanks. The part number is CP5871-BU. You must use a different washer if you use a quick-connect quarter turn TeeJet cap which I don't have. If you do add a washer and the filter mentioned there is not much thread left for the cap.
      With no washer the tip does not leak. The stainless steel quick connect does drip a bit, but a with few wraps of teflon tape...no drip. All the parts Jimmy mentioned in his video work great...Northern Tool is slow to ship and I think the same SS quik-connects are on Amazon for half the price...SpraySmarter ships really quick and customer service is where I got all my info..Hope this all helps.

    Great video, but where can your subscribers get that Toro hat? Thanks, Tom

      Thanks Tom. I got the hat at the GIE expo in Louisville last year.

      That's probably the only way to get one. They would sell a ton of them if they put them on their website. Thanks, Tom

    I was actually first, I don't care what the other comments say. There's grass on your 4K face

      Shot the video in 4K solely for the purpose of people being able to distinguish that as grass and not a booger 😉

      Yeah we don't get much higher than 100 typically, but it gets pretty warm.

    Is that actually how you spray man?🤔 you’re kidding right? Wave the wand back and forth, with the tip faced the other direction. That’s terrible information for out newbies. 😅
