I've seen that recently they've hired new people for the warehouse for the twilight (late evening) shift. Keep up with the job postings and apply when you see them available. Good Luck!

Been a delivery driver for fedex and Amazon for 5 years. I’m DOT ready. Still can’t get an ups job. They won’t hire off the street near me and they want me in the warehouse first.
Ok OK. Do you want to become a UPS driver? If so, it's worth it to work in the warehouse first. You'll have to hustle maybe another part time gig or job, but it'll be worth it in the long run. Good luck!!

@@giants3545 just keep monitoring. It varies from facility to facility and it’s based on the staffing situation at the particular facility. Just be vigilant in your quest. And possibly sign up for alerts so you can know first. Good luck!
You think they are going to need more driver in the future for the warehouse worker who’s been waiting for a driver position?

If your interested in becoming a UPS driver hire off the street. Check with the U.P.S. personnel hiring manager for that area each month . Also ask the Union for the current hiring status numbers. The previous ratios i think was to promote hiring from in the building 7 part timers to one person off the street application. Although if no part timers from inside the building apply for the job then they could hire people straight off the street. Keep in mind this information is from 50yrs ago .
Ok, 50 years ago?? Wow. Very outdated. The hiring practices are even different from just 10 years ago.
The ratios sound good and all, but find me a building that doesn't have part timers who want to drive.......
@@BrickedOutMediaexactly if they did this at my warehouse there’d be 1000 grievances lol. Everybody wants to drive but no one wants to work for it.
If you could just hire in as a driver they would never have people in the warehouse.

Dose driver assist/ helper and seasonal support driver count as inside work? Will those 2 roles eventually get you to a full time package car driver position or will warehouse/package handler be the way to go to get to full time package car driver position?
Seasonal helper, seasonal package handler, and seasonal support driver positions are only seasonal. Permanent part time warehouse/ package handler is what I mean by permanent inside position. That's how you position yourself to become a driver. Good Luck!!
@@BrickedOutMedia can a seasonal position lead to a full position and then lead to a driver position? My local ups hub is not hiring until holiday season so I’m assuming those will mostly be seasonal positions. If a seasonal position is all I can get should I take the job? Or should I wait till a permanent position pops up? My end goal is to be a driver, I don’t really wanna do seasonal work if it’s not gonna get me anywhere but not sure if a seasonal can eventually lead to that even if it may take longer than someone with a fulltime position. @@kkainaluu808 I was a seasonal package handler last year October until mid January and I have been waiting to apply for a permanent. I literally have the ups job website open 24/7 in a radius of 30-45 mins of a drive and the same warehouse I worked for a seasonal finally posting a hiring last week and I got in. I will start my first day tomorrow.
depending on the warehouse they may keep a few seasonal to be permanent after peak but if there is not enough work after peak they will not hire.
honestly if you are serious about ups keep trying and refresh the website every hour hoping for an opening. I have another job so at least I have an income while waiting for ups to start hiring.
