I experimented with my Borla S-Type, SR X pipe, MAK race pipes with 3.0 inch Thunderbolt 400CEL HFC's welded to my race pipes and the sound is PURE GOLD! I initially took the route with just the MAK race pipes with the Borla setup but the exhaust notes was so loud you can wake up the dead but after adding the Thunderbolt's to the mix increased my tone 50% and still have my S-Type screaming like hell when WOT, zero drone!

I put one on my 2019 Mustang gt with active exhaust, the sound is awesome.
I have a 19 Mustang GT, installed the Switchfire last week, incredible sound especially at 177 mph ! Bad Ass design too. Borla and his engineers did the deed! Ordered Longtubes and already have the Lund Tune file ready for upload! Steeda Axlebacks to compliment the upgrade will "Roar" -La... :)
was there a noticeable increase in power just with this exhaust? I am considering buying it.
put switchfire on my new 2020 mustang gt pp1 magnaride, 401 pk w/ active exhaust yesterday. sounds great.
Love how it sounds and considering ordering one even though I've already got an x-pipe...but the cost is almost 3 times what a standard x-pipe is so I'd like to know if this will come down any. Keep up the good work!
A little raspy for my tastes but then again, I'm an H pipe guy but it's still pretty cool tech- At one point I was hearing the old Bullitt exhaust!

@@Fawazalsobay Agreed. Though the modern Yotes make peak power up top around 7,000RPM+..higher yet to 8200, when you get to the GT350. Where the X pipe helps. Down low is where the H lives for the old Muscle car grunt that ends at say 5000ish rpm
Yotes are naturally raspy and have a metallic sound
Stock mufflers just sound so tinny. Way noticeable outside the car than in.
Have you tried an h pipe on the straight pipe section?

I have the switchfire, and absolutely love it. 2020, w factory manifolds/cats, and factory valved mufflers. Really curious to see this mated with some stainless works headers.. I’d love to do it, but also can’t find anyone who has this with headers for some reference!

sounds amazing! install question...do you really have to remove the factory one completely and then cut it to replace with this x-pipe? why isn't it just plug-n-play?
Hello! Unfortunately, it will require some cutting as the factory exhaust on the Mustang GT is one piece from the resonator. There are no break points.

I'm afraid the SwitchFire X-Pipe will not work for Mustangs with the 3.7L engines. Sorry about that.

Hi. Unfortunately, it was designed to work only with the factory exhaust. The end of the SwitchFire X-Pipe that would connect to our Cat-Back is expanded to slip over the factory pipes. It will not fit the expanded end of our Cat-Back system since it was designed to slip over the standard X-Pipe that is included in our Cat-Back system.

You should do the comparison each different section stock vs new with each other not all 3 then all 3. Easier to hear the difference.
Is this a direct swap for the xpipe on the S-type cat back?
Unfortunately, it does not fit with our Cat-Back system. It is only a direct replacement for the stock resonator.
Is this SwitchFire exhaust system only for the Mustang or for other models too?

Unfortunately, the SwitchFire X-Pipe will not fit with our Cat-Back systems. This was designed to be a stock front resonator replacement. The section of the pipes where our Cat-Back and the SwitchFire X-Pipe would meet are both expanded so it will not fit. In addition, if you happen to have a 2018+ model year, it won't fit as our systems have a 3" diameter whereas the SwitchFire has a 2.5" diameter. Sorry about that!
What if I modified it by cutting parts of the pipe. Could you answer if it’ll make the ATAK deeper or louder?

Hello. Thank you for reaching out to us. We do offer Cat-Back systems for the 2015-2019 Dodge Charger V6 in our S-Type and ATAK sound level. The systems do not drone. Unfortunately, we do not have a video of our systems, but you should be able to find customer videos on RUclips.

Yes, our SwitchFire X-Pipe (part number 60662) will fit and work on the 2022 Mach 1 to replace the stock resonator.
Do you guys offer this with the rear mufflers and pipe as well?
We do offer Axle-Backs that it can be paired with. However, we do not have a Midpipe to make it a full Cat-Back system. The SwitchFire X-Pipe was intended to be a replacement for the stock front resonator.

Are we able to swap out the x-pipe that comes with the borla attack and put on the switchfire instead. As that is where I am at right now
Borla seems to always have a metal tin can raspy sound. I really want to like them because of the technology but can't get over the metal sound.
I think it's the microphones used, I have Borla on 2 cars and there's zero tinny sound. But they are also both Vettes not F*rds...

MUCH prefer a deep grumble from an H pipe than a raspy rattle from an x pipe. 2:55 that just sounds so wrong.

I'm willing to bet that the 5.4L/5.8L Dohc V8 would sound so much better due to its longer stroke.i never warmed up to the coyote engine sound..they sound too European for my tastes.

Yay your now doing what corsa has been doing for years. Also I bet you money there is no difference in performance. If it's TRUE that there's a 2 percent gain then I guarentee you that you will not feel the difference. Most likely that guy thought he was faster because he is now louder.
This design is radically different than Corsa's double helixx.

So you add 2% more hp over a normal X pipe. Well a normal X pipe will only add about 8 rwhp to the 10 speed coyotes. So 2% more hp is less than 1 more hp. But this adds how much more weight over a standard X pipe? 🤷♂️ AND your standard X pipe sounds a lot better than this. This sounds like two empty coke cans are stuck inside your exhaust. Just stick with the normal X pipe.
