I made a few batches of these for my family of 30 for Thanksgiving and saying they were a hit in an understatement. I hoped some people would take some home afterwards because I thought there would be a ton left but no. They were ALL eaten. Best cookies I've ever had and I will definitely be making these for every Thanksgiving from now on! Thank you
I just made these today & they are one of the best cookies I've ever tasted! So thick, fluffy & tender. I didn't read the recipe directions carefully & didn't notice I was supposed to refrigerate the dough until after they'd been in the oven for 3 minutes. Didn't matter a bit; they still came out absolutely perfect. I also used 5-6 tsp of pumpkin pie spice & omitted the other spices listed. I made a cream cheese frosting instead of the glaze. To-die-for delicious!

I made these today... they were a huge hit! Took them with me to a little family gathering. My nieces and nephews had never had pumpkin anything before (such great calamity!😱) and they loved them, as did my parents. My nephew even ended up "stealing" the three that were left at the end. 😂 I've even set a date to make these again with my nieces. Thanks for all the wonderfully delicious recipes!😋

And a vegan version with coconut oil and coconut milk substituted for their counterparts. It has turned out delicious every time. I have even made an apple version also delicious.
I love and laugh out loud at how annoyed John's voice and face gets every time he has to tell us that Allspice is NOT a combination of all the spices! He should make a video about all the annoying questions he constantly gets. That would be fun to watch. But it wouldn't stop the questions from coming, LOL.
I do appreciate things like that though. While I understand that in a lot of cases dark/light brown sugar can be substituted, but someone who doesn't bake might not.

Okay. Just made a batch. The dough was a bit sticky. Possibly because it wasn't chilled long enough. Regardless, the first batch turned out so soft, chewy and cakey. Wow! That's for the great recipe!
I found a pumpkin cookie recipe (Betty Crocker circa 1979) & loooved them! I’m going to try this recipe too & have a taste off 😂 & see if there’s a clear winner or they’re both great to eat😁

I made the drizzle using 2 tablespoons of pumpkin spice coffee creamer instead of the milk and added the vanilla as listed- it was sooo good!
