Slow your lure down in coloured water, the bass will find it. Estuaries with good current are ideal for fishing lures at a crawl. Cast your lure, make contact with it and let it swing in the current, retrieve it slowly to your feet when it's completed the arc. Fish your lure as slow as possible without losing it to the snags. Even lures without action like senkos/worms work in coloured water, it's about giving the bass a chance to find it in the murk, fishing the lure slow gives them the opportunity to zone in.
Mate - your enthusiasm is infectious. I have really got back into fishing lately and especially fishing with jigs and micro jigs after seeing some of your videos. Also bought the Rigged and Ready Fish Rig 180 - that I am looking forward to getting out and trying soon. Keep up the good work and thanks for the entertainment.
I never wanted this video to end great session ..... I've walked away from water like this really coloured and running hard, go's to show how well bass can find food in these conditions.... thanks for the entertainment
Thanks mate glad you liked the video! Yeah I was surprised how well it was fishing in those conditions. I definitely won’t be turning my nose up at coloured water again that’s for sure!
Great video! You've done a great service to those who think they can't catch in coloured water. If I was you I would forget the net, and beach your fish. I've beached hundreds of seatrout and salmon, much safer than trying to hold them in the current, and a net spooks them. I've seen countless fish lost at the net, and none I can remember being beached. They just swim to shore for you, and aren't harmed. Top marks for C&R with quality fish.
