    7:47 That trout has a fungal infection, it can happen because of poor handling or simply when it reaches the end of its life cycle and it becomes weak, it's also really common with salmon especially thorwards the end of the season when most fish are done spawning and at the end of their life cycle.

      It is a possibility, but it might be skin "burns", they live in really cold waters, it is possible that this trout were caught and handled by a fisherman, and the difference between trout and fisherman hand's temperature makes fish skin "burn" and leaves those white marks, but again its not 100%.

    • @Augustfisk
      @Augustfisk 18 дней назад

      @@justas7418 it's not skin burns haha. It's a fungal infection like the other dude said before. they rotten alive while they are at the end for their life cycle (when they spawn). over 90% die after spawning. might be Depending on what kind of Salmonidae it is but most die after they spawn and most of them that survives gets the fungal infection and then dies from that.. No one really knows how to cure the infection and where it comes from but it's not burns haha. I have worked with these type of fungal infections on salmon, trout and other species in Sweden.

    nice one on the salmon George, nice place too, you need to fish a little different to have a lot more success, i noticed in your videos something you dont do which you are missing more opportunities of more fish, not telling you how to suck eggs, just an observation

      @@adventurefishinguk more variety in the speed and pauses in the reeling in the lure- and cover diff depths , let it sink
      and use rod tip bit more to change up the movement,. not just reel handle.
      All in al, just more variety needed in how you make it move as work the lure, not so much lure hits water, second pause, reel in at regular rate in straight line.
      (all meant constructively. i was lucky with who taught me lure fishing.)
      lovely bit river, that;) hope you get repeat visits!

      Try casting up stream, the action is faster not giving the fish time to work out what it is they strike out of instints, try it with spoons, most my fish are caught up stream on a fast retrieve

    Was it deff a sea trout ? Fish was in such poor condition it minds us ofa Pacific salmon in decay part of life cycle. Know that alien species is hitting east coast uk rivers and possibly western one's too. They originate from north western Russian fish farm escapes and river stocking. Sure you know bout em as most yer subbs too. Great stuff chap😊🤲🫡
